Great hotel and really nice diner. We had a family bunk room and it worked out well for our family of four. Located only 15 min drive from Farmers Dog pub if you are going there.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful village right on the edge of the Cotswold. The entire place was really lovely, including the staff - I actually booked for the wrong date but they quickly fixed everything and was able to adjust. Rooms was excellent, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, I also had dinner in the garden and the food was delicious. Added bonus that the village is where some of Downton Abbey scenes were filmed so that was fun!

The Front House manager Craig is awesome and was very responsive. He goes out of his way to ensure that visitors enjoy their stay. The ample bus options make getting to and from downtown Oxford a breeze. Overall, great bang for your buck!
Perfect location in Abingdon and just minutes walk to buses to Oxford if that's your interest. Took about 25-30 minutes to get into downtown Oxford on the 2 or 3 buses...very easy. The inn had a recent renovation and while it is clearly a very old property it was very charming, clean, and nicely decorated. Food was good and free breakfast had good offerings. We were there during the World Cup and they opened a separate bar/event space to fit both locals and guests in to watch the games which...
Lovely space, beautiful grounds and close to the river - peaceful. I took the bus to Oxford back and forth for meetings and it was a very nice trip. Hotel was everything I needed, no complaints.
