This hotel is immaculate and very inviting! The staff are very friendly and generous! Throughout our whole trip to Germany this one was my favorite! The views of the Black Forest are breath taking and the breakfast they serve is delicious! We arrived here towards the end of our trip and had quite a bit of dirty clothes. They allowed us to use their washer for a small fee and also provided us a clothes hanger to take back to our room. I love Forbach and hopeful to return again and definitely stay...
Lovely traditional German hotel with delicious food in a beautiful setting on the edge of the woods where you can spend hours walking and hiking. Our room may be been considered a mini suite, as it contained a very spacious sitting area as well as a balcony. We enjoyed the gourmet restaurant very much (reservations needed) but even the regular restaurant was delicious. One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. This is the quintessential German resort hotel, unbelievable property that has us finding new rooms and experiences each day. In the middle of hiking country with e-bikes easily rented. The food and service was impeccable, can’t speak more highly!
Having the extra goodies and a stocked mini bar was s huge plus! Others may complain there was only one of each item, but how much can two people consume? We thought Hotel Petra was wonderful!
We took the hotel because of it's location, parking, free Wi-Fi and breakfast included. All was really great except Wi-Fi, our room was too far from the source, we used our internet downstairs on the patio and all was well. It was a delightful place and the food was excellent.
