If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Koyasan Daishi Kyokai— just one of the landmarks located 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from central Koyasan.
Kyoryu Land is 9.3 mi (15 km) from central Katsuragi, why not stop by during your stay. If you'd also like to explore some of the parks in Katsuragi, Koya-Ryujin Quasi-National Park is nearby.
"I drove up to the driveway ... and there was no bellboy at the lobby to help with luggages. Everything has to be DIY; even the check-in procedures are supposed to be done DIY via iPAD. No one to help with bringing your luggages to your room as well.
Everything was pretty basic. Cleanliness is acceptable."
"This was a last minute booking when I learned that Osaka airport was an hour away from Osaka. For the low price, I wasn't expecting much - AC and no bed bugs at an airport hotel would have made me happy. However, this turned out to be a very nice experience! I didn't realize this was a hotel with no staff. You are greeted by a front desk staffed by two dinosaurs that can use basic greetings. Otherwise, everything is done by touch screen. It all worked. And there is a nice stash of amenities by the entrance if you need it. In the lobby, there is also a coin-operated vacuum compression bag machine that can suck out the air in a plastic bag of your items to help reduce the size of the stuff in your luggage. It worked well. The room was fine and had everything we needed including decent beds. For the price of Motel 6, it's actually a much nicer hotel! There was a sign in the room about how to get a taxi, but it was all in Japanese, so we used Uber instead. There are no airport shuttles as far as we could tell."
"We enjoyed our stay at the temple. We booked a superior room with the futon which I now know means sleeping on the floor. I would recommend getting a bed for those with aches and pains because it’s very uncomfortable on the floor - you will not get good sleep. The temple itself is very beautiful. The service is the morning was fun and I am glad we participated. We did the cemetery walk ourselves - a tour was not offered to us which it was apparently offered to other guests. The cemetery is stunning and we really enjoyed it at day and night. The food was meh…. Luckily there is a cafe across the street. Overall I recommend for one night"
"Short walk from Rinku Town station. Booked a basic room for the night before heading into the city, but got a massive upgrade to a suite instead which was amazing! Great views, plenty of amenities in the room as if this was a long term stay. Wished I could stay longer. Shuttle bus is only one way to airport, and there are limited slots so it needs to be booked in advance."
