We arrived early and I asked the front desk person if they could hold our luggage. To our shock, she checked us in early and we were able to go to our room. The hotel is convenient to the train station, shopping, and there is a theatre across the street. We opted to eat in the hotel restaurant and the food, drink, and service was all exceptional. The hotel was perfect—an easy walk to University of Glasgow/, Hunterian Museum, Kelvingrove and lots of dining options. Breakfast at Soul Food downstairs was AMAZING! However we did learn that many places do not serve food inside in the afternoon. It seems to be a combination of local custom and worker shortages coming back from Covid. Great place to stay within easy walking distance of the city centre. Breakfast is really good and the discounted parking across the road was an added bonus.
Our stay at Ibis was very nice. Our room was on the small side, but definitely had everything we needed in it. We both loved the shower! We also appreciated the location. We could see everything we wanted to see by walking there or taking the “hop on/hop off” bus.
All in all our stay at the hotel and in the city was excellent!
This was a beautiful place to spend the night! The room was large (with a surprisingly large bathroom), the dining was delicious, the service was impeccable and best of all, the employees were the nicest we’ve met on this trip to Scotland. We highly recommend the Oak Tree Inn!!

This property is located right next door to the train station. Very convenient location. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Friendly staff. Has a great bar with seating overlooking George Square.
