Expedia gets a terrible grade. I printed out our reservation, but the reservation did not get recorded to the hotel. The hotel manager called and found us a room at another location and went out of their way to help. Anna gets a excellent rating and Expedia gets a terrible rating.
My husband, daughter (20), and I stayed at The Garage for 2 nights (April 30-May 2). This is one of my favorite places we have ever stayed! If you plan to stay overnight in south Iceland do not miss this gem. The location is close to all the sights and activities, but the Garage is so comfortable and charming you might not want to leave the property! Cool decor and design, large and comfortable room, great amenities, and a wonderful family that owns/operates the Garage makes this a unique spot....
This is one of those hotels that you will want to stay forever. The location is unique, where you will have not matter which room an amazing view. I think the mountains views are the best! The service always impeccable. Rooms are spacious, not too much closets tho, but very modern. Breakfast was the best!!! Overall was one of our favorite stays in Iceland. The cottages are so unique, it was really fun to stay here and I’m so glad we did! I would totally recommend to anyone staying in the area.

This was one of the most peaceful and relaxing places I’ve stayed. The weather was rainy but for about an hour things cleared up and we sat on the deck and took everything in. My only regret was not being able to stay longer.
Hotel Selja is in the perfect location to see and do so many things in Iceland! The rooms are very comfortable, clean and well designed. Fantastic hotel on the island with easy parking across the street. We had a beautiful room with great views of the harbor which was super quiet. Nice robes to enjoy the hot tubs and sauna area. Great little guesthouse with 7 or so rooms. Very nice and clean bathrooms (3, with toilet/sink/shower each) and main kitchen area. Best for couples or two good friends. Beds are bunked.
Can’t say enough positive about this place. Room was clean and cozy. Owner clearly cares about keeping it nice for visitors. We ate in the kitchen for a low key vibe and it was nicely stocked.
Location is perfect and central to everything.
Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future.
