it was a wonderful one-night stay in an historic building that has been perfectly upgraded while preserving its architectural identity. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel was centrally located near both the train station and the old town (a very quaint place). The parking in front of the hotel was for free, which is a definite plus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Viana do Castelo.

I highly recommend stopping here if you are on the Camino and want to stop in Caminha or Seixas. The private rooms are small but very nice. I had a view of the beautiful cathedral in town right outside my window. There is a beautiful view of the Minho River from the deck outside. The shared bathroom is very clean and the shared common room was large (as well as the kitchen). Patricia who runs it is also very kind and helpful. Definitely a 5 star stay!
