We stayed a week and the staff was incredibly accommodating. At the restaurant they were able to work with our dietary restrictions, for morning hikes when we would miss hikes they arranged a takeaway bag for us to take in the morning. Very clean space and great views.
This was a perfect location for a stay in Madiera. Nice view, free parking, and all the amenities anyone could want in the room. So many thoughtful extras like wine, bottled water, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, washing machine and drying rack, etc. I would definitely stay again.
We visit this hotel for the second time and both times very satisfied with our stay. The personnel is very friendly and helpful, rooms are very clean and with modern design, facing mostly partially the ocean. Hotel design is modern and practical, food is extraordinary, a lot of amenities are available - as free group classes at the pool,spa center and entertainment after dinner. It is really a feeling to have vacation in the paradise.
I like the location, close to the beach, cleanest, small town, good transportation but above all the care and attention of Martha & Robert, made me feel at home.
I recommend this place highly.
The Pestana is an excellent hotel facing the ocean. From our room we had an excellent view to the hotel pools and gardens and to the ocean. It was like being in the middle of the sea. Service was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful and nice. We had breakfast included and, leaving at 3:00 a.m., they offered to bring tea or coffee to our room. We accepted and we had a complete continental breakfast brought to our room at 2:00 a.m. at no charge.

We stayed there 8 nights in a superior room. The room was nice and clean. We could have better view from the balcon but it was ok. The stuff was always very kind and helpful with us. The breakfast was excellent with everything you wish. Around the swimming pool was enough sun beds and was never crowded. Actually we prefered to stay at the Miramar hotel swimming pool ( less kids and less people there ) The pool bar is great with friendly stuff. Great prices there! Don't miss the Happy Hours...
I really really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and quiet and served my needs perfectly. Hotel staff was able to arrange for a rental car for me when I arrived to the hotel. Free parking was very limited but, I was always able to find paid street parking not far from the hotel. So not really a big deal.
The hotel staff are superb. A special acknowledgement to Barbara Gomez who is so kind, professional, always had a smile on her face and offered great suggestions for things to do in Madeira...
We had an amazing stay! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. The rooms are very spacious, well-equipped, and have comfortable beds. Great location! There are plenty of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Hotel parking can be tricky, but we had no trouble finding street parking close by, so it wasn't an issue for us.
