Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Wonderful staff, incredible food, clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful views! Lots of stairs and steep narrow roads so not the best place for people with mobility issues. We loved it and highly recommend!
I really really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and quiet and served my needs perfectly. Hotel staff was able to arrange for a rental car for me when I arrived to the hotel. Free parking was very limited but, I was always able to find paid street parking not far from the hotel. So not really a big deal.

This is an amazing place for those who wish to explore the north coast of Madeira and stay in a very comfortable, quiet setting. The service and attentiveness of the staff here is top notch, and you can have all the privacy that you desire. Breakfast is very good and if you want Theresa to prepare dinner for you then you just let her know ahead (that morning) and you will not regret it! She is a very good cook and it’s affordable and delicious. There are also restaurants within walking...

My husband and I stayed four nights and had a very positive experience. The staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful and allowed us to check in early. The hotel has a low density in terms of number of rooms and a relaxing atmosphere was prevalent. The breakfast buffet (included in price) was excellent and provided a good variety of good quality choices. The pool, while outdoors, was heated sufficiently to allow a swim even when the temperature was on the chilly side. The room was clean...
We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect. Cleanest hotel we have stayed in so far. Location is great. Breakfast offered a nice variety and staff were friendly. We would recommend and stay again!
So far, the best All Inclusive we'd ever been to, considering the overall atmosphere, nice marina with choices of fishing or whale watching tours, great sandy beach right in front of the hotel (which is very rare thing on Madeira island!), fun evening entertainment, snd a very good choices of food!
Our stay here totally exceeded expectations! The grounds are gorgeous and the room was enormous compared to the other hotels we stayed at in Lisbon and Porto. The staff were incredibly sweet and accommodating. The kitchenette in the room was such a welcome surprise. We were able to cook a nice dinner one evening that we enjoyed on the patio overlooking downtown Funchal. Definitely hit the breakfast for 12 euros at least once. It was charming and delicious.
Amazing staff with a great location only a few blocks away from the main city center. The pool on the roof has an amazing view for days where you’d like to take a break and relax. The breakfast is solid. Make sure to reserve parking as there are limited spots!!!
Se” Boutique Hotel was next level awesome! We arrived early in the morning tired and they had our room ready and let us check in early and they even gave us breakfast! They upgraded our room to an apartment which was lovely! The breakfast each morning was so delicious with a large variety of food. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The location was perfect! We would recommend this very highly and we would stay here again for sure!
Perfect location. Great breakfast. Easy parking. Great services. Very clean and safe. Hot tub and pool were welcome after long hard hike in mountains of Madeira. Walkable area.
The level of service, courtesy and kindness demonstrated by the staff was the best I have ever experienced anywhere! The facilities were lovely, very clean, and spacious. Food in all four restaurants was excellent (especially the Med) with great variety and quality. And we loved the breakfasts! I would return in a heartbeat.
The Pestana is an excellent hotel facing the ocean. From our room we had an excellent view to the hotel pools and gardens and to the ocean. It was like being in the middle of the sea. Service was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful and nice. We had breakfast included and, leaving at 3:00 a.m., they offered to bring tea or coffee to our room. We accepted and we had a complete continental breakfast brought to our room at 2:00 a.m. at no charge.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days in mid July. The hotel is wonderfully situated with views of the sea and/or the garden from many rooms and nice facilities. It's a very pretty property with secure parking and a lovely lobby. The old town is a bit far away, if you're walking, but the promenade is just down the hill and you can walk in each direction.
While I did love staying in this hotel, there were two drawbacks.
This was our least favorite breakfast of our two week stay in Portugal...
