WOW.. where do we begin!!!! Such an incredible resort with amazing, friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the extra money. Marolin and staff at the reception desk helped us make and change reservations for excursions, drove us on golf carts back and forth to our room and made us feel so warm and welcomed. This resort far exceeded my expectations. Even though it was low season, and the resort appeared to be almost empty of guests, it felt fully staffed and the service was excellent in every respect. The tour around the resort when you first arrive is great. We were shown the property by Tony Castro. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They helped set up telescopes so we could see the birds and sloths in the trees. Hot tub outside our room was a nice touch. Rooms were large and comfortable. Only downsides were there really isn’t a bar or place to have evening drinks. Also the cost of bottled water was ridiculous ($30 for two bottles of Fiji water).
This was an amazing hotel, the property was beautiful and there are trails for you to explore through the jungle. The rooms were simple and rustic, not too fancy which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff, including Diego, is extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Would not hesitate to go back!
The Staff here are AMAZING! We stayed for only one night before returning to SJO airport. We needed assistance with transportation and the staff here bent over backwards to make calls and help us. This property is clean and has a nice breakfast. The ONLY negative I would give it - the noise. If you cannot sleep with earplugs, you may want to look elsewhere. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong booking La Fortuna Lodge.

There is nature all around. I very much enjoyed swinging in the hammock looking at nature.
It is about a 30 minute walk to City center, but there are a few restaurants within 10 minutes. There is also a grocery store two minutes away
There is an adventurous "river walk" on property that we enjoyed.
The few cons were the breakfast wasn't the greatest for the price. Also the air conditioner weezed the last day... But we never notified them about it, so can't blame them for...

The Arenal Volcano was the most breathtaking view from our room that we have ever experience! The staff was amazing friendly and helpful! Starting with Felix Jimenez who was so helpful with my questions with the hotel and tours prior to our visit. Wilmer (Koloches) and Jacklyn at the front desk received us with a big welcome and drinks waiting for us! Best Resort in La Fortuna, staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 7 days and every single day was amazing. Facilities are well maintain and very clean. Every morning we could see staff cleaning and disinfecting the common areas which pools were amazing, The resort has security 24 hrs at different entry and exit points, making sure everything is running smooth. First time in Costa Rica and It was the best place to stay.
Photos don't do justice to this property. Excellent stay in La Fortuna. The cottages are very well maintained, and the staff was kind and helpful. The area around the property is just very green and vibrant.
Extremely friendly reception and staff . I happen to have a small issue on my rental car and all jumped in to help. I was in tears of recognition and gratitude in front of so much friendly help.
