Yala Safari Camping is such an incredible & unique experience. The tents are so nice, the staff is beyond incredible. I stayed as a solo female traveler back in December and I felt so safe and taken care of. They help coordinate two safaris for me during my stay. The wifi wasn’t working while I was there so they gave me a hotspot to borrow while I was staying so I could keep up with work calls and emails.
A delightful bit of "glamping" right next to the treasure of Yala Park. The "rooms" are comfortable and even air conditioned. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast served on a raised tower overlooking the park.
Amazing staff and magical place! We enjoyed a BBQ dinner and did a morning safari. Facilities could be a bit better maintained but it seems to be a standard in Sri Lanka :)
This is a piece of paradise! No way to describe how much we loved it. It’s tucked away in the jungle but you arrive to luxurious cabin surrounded by nature. From the fresh squeezed juice upon arrival to the magnificent dinner and an unbelievable sunset over the lake it was perfect! They made us feel like royalty. The nicest young men and the absolute best food in the entire country!!!

Very professional staff, incredible location near the entrance to Yala National Park. The staffs English could be improved upon but the staff were very attentive, warm and helpful.
The room we had was incredible. Very large with all the amenties you could expect. The small private pool was nice but cold and not really used.
The food at the restaurant was well prepared and reasonably priced. They have both an international food and local Sri Lankan menu to choose from.

We stayed in Laya SAfari for the second time and still want to go back again. Amazing resort, astonish location, friendly staff, good value for money.

Our host was exemplary in showing us the local area. We had a deeply moving experience at both Kataragama and Tissamaharama. Pradath is an excellent resource for All things Sri Lanka. The accommodations are first rate. Big comfortable bed. Modern shower and tub. A/C and Wi-fi work great. Excellent meals prepared. It is the perfect spot to retreat in the evening. We heartily recommend it and will hopefully return.
Beautiful property, the rooms were spacious and uniquely decorated and fit the jungle aesthetic. Due to its proximity to Yala National Park, we saw many wild Peacocks roaming around in the backyard. This also meant that the Safari jeep was able to pick us up on the main road easily on the way to the park.
On the downside, the property was located at the end of a dirt path off the main road and was not properly marked on the map. This made it very difficult was taxi drivers to find the hotel....
