As we drove down a dirt road to The Pink Flamingo, we wondered what we were getting into. As soon as we walked into the villa, we were smitten! It was gorgeous, beautiful, exquisite! We had been promised a driver to take us from the airport to the lodge, and he was there waiting in spite of the l-o-n-g entry process and the late hour. And, he is a very good driver, even where the roads were iffy. We were offered a late light supper, which was perfect. In the morning, the manager greeted us with "Come see the mountain. It's the first time in a month!" He led us to a huge deck jutting out over a gorge, and there in front of us was a crystal clear Kilimanjaro. Wow! ...

Kiboko Lodge is beautiful and quiet with a warm and welcoming staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is beyond accommodating and amazing. They were so kind and helpful and arranged a driver to take us into Arusha the next day. We booked this lodge very last minute and when we arrived at 11pm they had an entire feast ready for us. Even late at night when we had issues with the power, they accommodated us so that we could charge our devices. I cannot stress how beautiful and special...

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful area, great staff. Highly reccomend.

This is a fascinating property that was a pleasure to be in. Muksin and Catherine were great host. The room was excellent. There are some limitations if you have difficulty walking because of the nature of the steps. If you are fully mobile, it will be a wonderful experience.

The Stella Maris staff is the highlight of the facility. They immediately become family and treat you as such. The facility is very clean and very well kept. There are limitations that are to be expected as a part of visiting the country and area such as occasional area power outages (which are only a brief interruption till the generator comes on) and periodic brief Wifi disruption common for the area. The staff was just wonderful

I loved the staff so friendly. Manager helped me with a cheaper route to the waterfall. Location wasn't the best as I need a ride to get anywhere but at least rides are cheap. Just be careful of not getting a agreed price before you go anywhere. As it will start at 2k and jump to 10k for little to no reason....the pool was very clean. And rooms were very nice. Breezy Lodge stay was excellent. Very clean room, wonderful freshly made breakfast in the morning, and staff who made you feel very welcomed. There was instant hot water and the staff even helped me get to my next destination. I would definitely stay here again!

With such a low daily cost, I was worried it would be minimal. But to my pleasant surprise, the room I was given was very modern looking. It had its own bathroom, and plugs for charging along with strong WiFi. Nice comfortable queen sized bed and a bunk bed. Deborah and her husband were very attentive hosts. We felt very welcome at Kaswende Farm. Family Kaswende was very hospitable, the farm is a beautiful place a few km away from the main road, between mount Meru and mount Kilimanjaro.
