We spent 3 days in the "cowshed" room at Le Bois Gautier. The accommodation was very spacious with a full kitchen and a large bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
We received a warm welcome from the new owner Bill who had prepared a log fire for our arrival, this made the accommodation very cosy and was a great touch. Bill had also brought some snacks/breakfast for us.

Nice, clean, comfortable room, good check-in experience. The direct access to the ramparts was a big bonus. The only negative was a misleading email from the hotel regarding advance notice of arrival time which caused unnecessary stress.
Great location, fun and modern rooms with convenient to Mont Saint Michel shuttles / transportation. Parking is included in stay which is a good benefit. Breakfast was heartier than others we experienced on our trip - included meats, cheeses, fruit in addition to the usual pastries, breads, and jams. Great choice!
We had dinner and breakfast on property. Dinner was excellent. The room and bathroom were a good size for us. We were traveling from Paris to Mont St Michel and this was a great location. Staff were great.
This property is near two places that I can only recommend. One is obvious, Mount saint Michel. I left the hotel early and arrived at the Abbey at around 7:30 AM, way before all the masses of tourists and had a nice time exploring the town. The Abbey opens at 9 o’clock and despite all the tourists it actually was still enjoyable. The other place was a small town called Avranches.
