Hotel de l’Abbaye offered almost everything we would need for a fully relaxing and wonderful stay. Once you are in the property you find that it sits on a hill overlooking the surrounding area, has lovely, well-kept and furnished grounds including a big swimming pool. The Maya room we had looked out over the town with beautiful views, a nice sitting room and a big very clean bathroom. This was one of the highlights of our stays in the area. The owners were so welcoming and warm, had so much knowledge about the area and we loved their dogs! The views from everywhere were spectacular, the garden was beautiful and every corner had another surprise- like the cave system from the town square market fare.
Chateau De Maraval was just the castle experience we wanted from the medieval region from France. We were on a girl's trip and were provided two rooms that were beautifully furnished and stocked up.
All the interiors was tastefully done. Outside of the castle is medieval but the rooms were with modern amenities. It was like living the best of two worlds. The property is well maintained. The staff were very helpful and kind. We had an amazing time. We definitely would recommend this for families...

The staff was very welcoming and more than helpful. When we found ourselves in a bind because we needed fuel and the only service stations open were automated (which don't accept American credit cards), the hostess went with us and used her personal credit card to get us on the road again. (We paid her back with cash.)
Beautiful setting, impeccably designed room and bath with no comfort detail lacking. Bucolic scene from the swimming pool adds to the overall relaxing atmosphere as one’s access to the owners’ library. Food was delicious. I can not recommend more highly.
We had such a wonderful stay at La Sarlamandre. Our hosts, Stéphy and Séb were so kind and welcoming from the start. The rooms are very clean and feel brand new.

Just an amazing place! The rooms are perfectly decorated, beds heavenly, great pool. Dinner is better than anywhere around. Marlin, the owner, gave us good suggestions of the places in the area to visit. We loved Josephine Baker's castle, don't miss that.
An authentic French countryside experience. Not the Ritz but incredibly comfortable and special. If you are okay with a few economies - older towels, for example - you will enjoy your stay. The property is beautiful and special, the staff could not be kinder, the food in the restaurant is traditional French-chic, the breakfast is massive. I would go back in a minute.
