This was a very special place for my husband and me. We felt relaxed and pampered in a perfect Italian countryside environment. A friend recommended it to me and she was spot on! The grounds were beautiful, the rooms were special, and the separate dining room made you feel like you were in the heart of Tuscany....because you are! You are 2 miles from downtown Montelpulciano, 40 min from Montalcino, 40 from Sienna, and close to the most wonderful vineyards. We ate and drank our way through...
Absolutely stunning property. Amenities and partnerships with local businesses were exceptional. We did a cooking class, wine tasting, horseback riding, yoga in the rose garden and took advantage of their private spa. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!
The hotel is 6 miles away from Montepulciano.Awesome, friendly and
happy staff. The room is big and very
clean. Great and good variety buffet breakfast. Very accomodating family
operated hotel. Mattel a good baker
and his mom Moneta a good host.
Our stay at Podere La Rocca was fabulous! The property is located in the rolling Tuscan hills just outside Montepulciano. The property is a working farm and vineyard with an onsite restaurant and pool. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was huge with a new jetted tub. We stayed on the second floor in a building with a large communal room with a fireplace. On the first floor of the same building was a rec room with a pool table. What made the stay was our experience at the...
This is a beautiful place to stay. It is away from all the tourism and you get the actual feel that you are in Italy. This place is a family run business that also have a winery and produce olive oil. There is a restaurant there where the food is all fresh and delicious! We ate there every night because the food and wine was so good. You won't be sorry if you stay there.
Rent a car and drive the Tuscan countryside and stay at this hotel in Montepulciano. Roberto and his wife (princess) Elda were amazing and entertaining hosts. The hotel is right in the shopping and dining district, and there are multiple streets and sights to explore. Every few blocks there is another perch from which to look out over the incredible countryside. The room was large and beautiful, and you can hear the shoppers and diners down below the window. Walk up to the Piazza Grande in...
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. The property is located at a very good spot where we could see the beautiful Tuscany landscape from our room on the first floor.
Beyond expectations! It is a hidden gem, peaceful and tranquil. We enjoyed our stay at the suite, which offered adequate space, comfort and convenience. Staff are professional, friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back.
We were the only guests for 2 nights out of 3, at this lovely B&B on the estate of one of the best wineries in Tuscany. We had sumptuous room with a living room, bedroom and bathroom (nice shower!) all to ourselves. The staff were local women, who made a wonderful breakfast every day and told us of the life in Tuscany. The place was spotless, the food great, and it was so relaxing to come " home" to the vineyards every night, after seeing hordes of people in the towns we explored. One could...
Wonderful place to stay in the most charming town in Tuscany! Spacious and beautifully appointed room with warm and gracious hospitality and they serve a delicious breakfast. Only we we had stayed 2 nights.
Concierge, Luigi is wonderful can do anything. The view across the valley to Montepulciano is worth a special journey in itself. The restaurant is expensive , but a must do at least once. Great, more typical restaurants a few blocks away in little village of Montefollonico. Youre an hour from Montalcino, half hour from Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore, half hour from Montipulciano, hour from Florence by autostrada. Siena is also close by car.
Parking was plentiful but a long steep walk from the hotel. This makes the luggage drop and pick up a monumental task.
The rooms are large and well appointed/decorated.
I was looking for a hotel to stay in for 2 days that was between Rome and Florence. Montepuliano was perfect. This turned out to be a fabulous choice. It is up on a hill with beautiful views and even though it is in the country, our GPS took us right there. Our jr suites were perfect for a Mom and one kid and two other young adult kids. We had a nice pizza in the restaurant that night and the breakfasts are included in the price of the rooms. Breakfast on the terrace looking at the...
