The Grey Gull Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Bath towels were flimsy, no marmalade at breafast, or yoghurt. No light in the bathroom."
The Glenburn Hotel
8/10 Good
"Lovely sea loch views from front facing rooms and terrace balcony at front of building, however the building is in need of investment and renovations to repair the exterior damage."
Gleddoch Golf & Spa Resort
10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay here. The check in staff were great - so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and very quick service. We booked this hotel for the spa as we were just looking for a night away to chill so the location was perfect. The view from the jacuzzi and sauna was so nice overlooking the Firth of Clyde (I think! 🙈😂😍). The only minor thing was after I booked I got notification that we could book the spa for a 2 hour period at a charge of £25 each - I should have realised with it being an actual spa hotel rather than one with a pool and sauna that there would be a restriction/charge and I probably hadn’t read the description properly but to be honest it was worth every penny. Another minor issue was that we could hear every person passing our room at night - not a big deal for us but maybe would be for others. Room was a really good size and was lovely and cosy. Would definitely stay again."
The Oak Tree Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Overall this property was a perfect place to stay with very friendly staff. The restaurant had lots of atmosphere and the food was perfect.Breakfast was amazing although it was extra on a quite expensive room rate."
Duck Bay Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This break was my husband and I’s honeymoon. On arrival, as my husband is disabled due to a stroke, we were able to park in the disabled spaces right by the front door. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, who, once we were all checked in, offered to help me with our luggage. Our room was clean and spacious with the added bonus of a view right over the loch. The bed was extremely comfortable, although the mattress was firm. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly and couldn’t do enough to help us. One member of staff in particular, went out of her way to communicate with my husband, who has aphasia. This meant a huge amount to us both. Breakfast was a mixture of self service of the continental options, with the cooked options being served at the table. There was a great choice and the ingredients were high quality. We ate every evening in the restaurant. Again, staff were accommodating by giving us easily accessible tables. We didn’t ask for this, but was done never the less, which we appreciated. Choice on the menu was excellent and arrived piping hot. Each meal we had was delicious and the helpings were generous. This was our first time away since my husbands stroke and The Duck Bay turned out to be an excellent choice. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will definitely be back."
Loch Fyne Hotel And Spa
10/10 Excellent
"Clean room, good pool, easy walk to centre where there is a choice of places to eat. We got back late a couple of nights and struggled to find parking but is street parking at the back if needed."
Stonefield Castle Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This is a lovely destination. The restaurant was fabulous. The room was massive and characterful."
Rosslea Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"Great location and lovely rooms. The bed was super comfy and we had a great sleep. Though hotel was very busy it was also very quiet. The hotel is also very pet welcoming. Only food available in the evening was in the bar and to be honest the menu is not appropriate for a large hotel with only 4 starters ( of which one was unavailable) and six main courses - 4 of which came with boiled rice. This really needs improvement. The waitress ( there was only one) was lovely, very busy but also very courteous , attentive and friendly. Breakfast was continental but lots to chose from and good, fresh produce. Would absolutely stay again but unless menu changes would eat in nearby Helensburgh."
Loch Lomond Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We had a family room with 2 bathrooms. There were lots of restaurants right by the hotel and this was a great place to sleep before heading out to the highlands."
