"Great property BUT nowhere near anything and taxi s were $25 each way to city. Very nice, clean hostel but felt more like hotel. Ufn staff wasnt there and had to wait 30 min to get into room even though we gave them the flight info. Our party of 3 and 1 other guest had arrived on the very few flights to NUUK but no one there to check us in. This was disappointing after long day to get there and was at 7p but was on a sat. Nuuk nice but on weekend doesnt seem to operate. Location was also a problem but close to airport. Had to use buses and up and down hills were an issue on knees. Property was clean and comfortable. We asked to get on tour boat from our property as Greenland tours parks on docks below property and save $ and time. On water so nice view and affordable but better price at property than hotel site. Office staff helpful except at checkin. Had 4 br 2 bath kitchen and living and dining area and use of laundry if needed. If was closer to city would have been a home run."

"Although I did not have an opportunity to see any of the hotels in more remote areas, without a doubt, this is the finest hotel in the Ilulissat city center. It's a bit in the expensive side, but worth it. The staff was wonderful, from Malou, the lovely woman who checked me in, to the chef in the restaurant, who sat down with me to figure out what vegetarian dishes he should prepare for me at dinner time. My server the first night, Shakira, was especially kind. My room was spacious, with a heavenly bed and incredible views over the harbour and iceberg fields. And the heated floor in the bathroom made me want to stay forever. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The location in the center of town was perfect - I could walk anywhere, including the Icefjord Center, within minutes. The breakfast was excellent, with many items to choose from and a good amount of vegetarian items. The free shuttle from the ship dock to the hotel upon arrival and the hotel to the airport upon departure was a big bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone."

"The room is small but very well designed to use all the space. The staff were all very helpful. The breakfast provided was very good. We ate at the restaurant one evening and had the reindeer which was perfectly prepared."
