"
Wonderful place for a stop and chill if ure doing a ‘road trip’…
Unbelievable sunset & sunrise gallery for subdowners.
Chef and staff paid great care & attention to my food allergies which was a refreshing change.
Highly recommend. 🇳🇦🙏☀️"
"Hotel is nice but starting to wear. Cleaning staff missed some important steps in cleaning our room. Overall, great location and friendly front desk staff. Breakfast team were very friendly and accommodating."
"This hotel is stunning. Beautifully designed, indoor and outdoor spaces, you will love it. The staff, especially Marshall was so incredibly kind and helpful. "
"The Iris boutique hotel is across the street from lagoon, making it a convenient location to walk along the water. You can also walk to restaurants in about 30 minutes. We spent one night and had dinner at the hotel restaurant. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Everyone who worked at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. Our dinner was slow due to the understaffed kitchen, but the food was fine once it came. The restaurant also has a nice view of the sunset in the water."
"Good infrastructure. Housekeeping staff performance below standard. Towels were never replenished in one week stay. Floor mat was not even picked up. Tea and coffee was not replenished. Had to call housekeeping every night. Breakfast sausage was raw every morning. Nice location. "
"Far too busy and noisy. I was offered an upgrade, as expected that was because something was wrong with the upgraded room I was offered - it was above the restaurant, and I could hear the extraction fans and air con whirring noisily. The room itself was OK. Pretty much a clone of the international hotel style. But nothing special. Parking (for my motorcycle) was in a publicly accessible multistorey next door. The security guard was great, and looked after my bike all night. Windhoek city is a bit disappointing too. Museum closed. Hard to get around.
I got propositioned by a young lady in the cafe! That's never happened to me before. Not sure what to think. I said I had to phone my wife, so was too busy. Instead I went round to the supermarket and bought a cheap dinner."
"The property was very average and not worth the money.
On the up side, Assistant F&B Manager, Benny Amutenya really tried hard to make amends to the lack of empathy for my food intolerances, which had been flagged twice prior to our stay. He was very apologetic and acknowledged. Thank you Benny.
The lodge lacked ambience."
