"I booked a room two weeks in advance. After placing the booking, I noticed that the guest name was entered incorrectly. I immediately canceled it through Expedia and then made a new booking. However, the hotel said there is no refund for the incorrect booking. I explained that I only canceled because the name was wrong and then rebooked immediately, but they still replied: no refund."

"We stayed at Luxe for 6 days, and the staff were very kind. We had asked for an early check-in, and they obliged by giving us a deluxe room. This is a boutique hotel, and though small, it's well-kept. A water filter can be found on every floor to reduce the need to purchase plastic water bottles. The only con here is that one of the staff members was always on my face, never smiled, as if he was annoyed. On our last day, while waiting for our taxi, which took a bit because it was raining, he asked another staff member when we were leaving, since we'd been loitering in the lobby. He didn't know that I understood Cantonese. Oh well!"

Wyndham Singapore Hotel

"Everything was great. The buffet breakfast was great and also had lots of lunch and dinner items from different nationalities to choose from. One of the best things was the location. We learned after one day that you barely have to go outside to access the MRT City Hall station. You can go into the mall next-door and down to level B2 and there is a shopping mall system that extends all the way over to the MRT station. From there, you can go to all the tourist spots in Singapore. So if we are lucky enough to come back to Singapore, this will probably be our first choice. "
