The hotel very nice and very clean, service is friendly. They thought of everything. - Would stay again!

The perfect hotel for visiting family in the area. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. The area where the hotel is located isn't attractive but the proximity to family and shopping made it easy to overlook. Will definitely stay there again.

The rooms were great; very spacious & more than enough for our family of 4. The only negative is the address listed for the hotel is not GPS friendly-if you plug it in it takes you to a vacant lot so we spent 30 minutes driving around in circles trying to find it.

We stayed 5 nights while my husband was a patient at Winthrop. Clean, great service, friendly staff. Love the couch in the room and divider between the bed and couch! 40 min. train ride into Manhattan. Must take a taxi to the train station, its not far. Can't really walk anywhere except Wendy's. That's how most of the hotels are. Would stay there again! […] Only toast, bagel, juice, fruit, yogurt and cereal for breakfast. Leer más

We had to attend a funeral, and I travelled with my elderly mother. I spent the extra money to stay at the Hyatt because I wanted to be sure she would be comfortable. I informed Hotels.Com and Hyatt that my mom uses a walker and has problems with her legs. I requested a room close to the elevator. All was ok until it was time to get her to bed, it was […] too high and she could not get into it. We called and spoke to 3 different staff members, no one seemed to care at all. My 78 year old mother sat up in a chair all night and I paid for a room at the Hyatt. The next morning I asked the front desk person if there was a handicapped room available the night before and told her what happened. She acted apalled and said she would speak to Jennifer the General Manager and have her call me. She did call me and offered NO SOLUTION whatsoever to my situation. In this day and age it's unbelievable to me that I did not receive a refund. This is unacceptable from Hotels.com and especially the HYATT. Leer más

This was the best and and probably the most clean of any hotel that I have stayed. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was fine but was a bit cramped when a lot of people were there. The rooms are very quiet - I was never disturbed by noise in the hall or from adjoining rooms. I will definitely stay here again,

Did a quick trip to NY, and stayed here for a day...best sleep ever!! the room was oversized and clean, I had a king bed which was great, could have done without the feathered comforter but to each his own..didnt do the free breakfast, because I hated to leave the room...did order a turkey sandwich for lunch tho..it was over priced but hey so is everything […] in the big apple...front desk was ok, I was prepared to go down fighting if I had to deal with the staff as I did read the reviews, but I quess they could tell I was not one to mess with...overall a A in my book on hotel Leer más

Hyatt Place maximizes its space, both in the common and private room areas. Simple, partial walls create the illusion of privacy without the permanence of a full, enclosure. There is a n subtle openness.

New, nice looking hotel. Very clean. Helpful friendly staff. Bed were exceptionally comfortable. PLENTY of shopping and good restaurants nearby. Nice indoor heated pool.

It is not often that after viewing a hotel online and actually seeing it in person that I remain impress..At the Hyatt Place in Garden City, I was amazed at how luxurious and comforting the hotel was. I enjoyed my stay quite well, apart from the poor food menu and lack of room service , everything else was GREAT!!

We stayed here for a swim meet at Eisenhover Pool. Hotel is knew and clean and quite. Friendly service. Indoor pool and fitness room are nice and clean stocked with towels. The work out equipment had individual TV's which is nice. Location is great close to shopping and movies. It is very close to Medowbrook Pkwy so easy on and off. Enjoy your stay […] we did. Leer más

I love the Hyatt!!! They have the most comfortable beds and a great service. Apparently the hotel was full that day and I got a suite. It was simply amazing!! They have nice and helpful people working there. I really recommend this place. Great to relax!!!

The Hyatt had good reviews and was about $30 cheaper than the hampton inn next to it, so we decided to stay at the Hyatt. It was very clean and everything looked new. The complimentary continental breakfast was decent - fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels/toast, yogurt and juice. There was also an option to pay for hot menu items using what looked […] like a computer kiosk. The dining area was small (and crowded), but they opened up a back room and it was fine. The one thing I noticed is that the sheets were loud and they crinkled (kind of like soft paper), but they were soft enough. The noise from the freeway was buffered by the Hampton Inn, so that wasn't a problem for us. I liked that they only have ice makers on even floor, since it was quieter for us on the 5th floor. Stayed here just one night on a business trip and my companion and I wished we could stay longer. The room was as big as my apartment, more of a suite than a room, with huge TV, well-lighted desk/work area, frig, very comfortable beds. Only small inconvenience was noise of heater blower next to bed, which bothered my companion but not myself. The hotel was everything we thought it would be! The beds are fantastic and so fluffy! The rooms are really big and I enjoyed that there was a sofa area so we didn't have to sit around and watch tv in bed all day. The only complaint I had was the huge bus of school age children that came in on our second night and ran around the hotel and made lots […] of noise. That wasn't the hotels fault though. The Hyatt is a nice hotel for an overnight stay. The staff is very nice and the room is much larger than expected. The huge flat screen tv is a nice touch. They also have an indoor pool. If you are planning to go using a navigation system, make sure you get the "GPS address" from the hotel prior to going. Otherwise you will end up at someone's house! […] The hotel is very close to Roosevelt Field shopping mall, but it is on a side street, off the beaten path. Other then the need to clear the parking lot of snow. And the fact that the hotel is determined to fool your GPS system; I found my stay at this Hotel went very well. Did I happy to mention this hotel is fantastic! Great rooms, clean, courtous staff. Breakfast was delicious. They even have a indoor pool. We got caught in the snow storm while we stayed there offered if we wanted to stay another day for 1/2 the price. It was worth it since we had the opportuntiy to stay another day. Hotel is relatively new and was MUCH nicer than I anticipated, though most Hyatt locations are generally nice.

The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. I only wish they had a bathtub, I love bubble baths. The continental breakfast was filling. It was only 8 miles from my sons house. I would definently stay their again.

My husband and I stayed here during Thanksgiving weekend and thought the hotel was beautiful and clean with a friendly staff. And how fun to be able to walk to the huge mall down the street for black Friday! Highly recommend Hyatt Place Garden City to anyone for any occasion. You will not want to get outta bed, it's so comfy!

I have stayed at the Hyatt Place in Garden City twice. Both times everything was great. The neighborhood is kind of industrial, but close to the mall and restaurants, You need a car though. The rooms are very comfortable. I wish I had stayed for more than one day. I love the apartment style feel of the place. My feelings on this hotel are a bit mixed. For starters its a brand new hotel and the room I stayed in was huge with the biggest TV I've seen in a room ever. The room is almost big enough to be a junior suite which is a big plus and it was very clean with a comfortable bed and couch. However the down side was that the hotel was very hard to find. The […] problem was that there are 2 North Ave's in the city and they are not next to each other. I was driving around a residential area at first which is where my GPS told me to go. When I finally decided to call the hotel to ask for help the man on the other line was very unhelpful. Basically he just told me to put in 700 North Ave for the address and when I told him that I already did that he didn't really have any other answers for me. I had to stop at another hotel who actually had printed directions to this hotel (I guess I wasn't the first or the last to probably have this problem) and was finally able to locate it. Overall once I got to the hotel everything was pretty good and the room was quite large. My advice to you if you stay here is don't trust your GPS as it will lead you to a residential area. Find the mall in Garden City on a map and you will the correct North Ave next to it. Now that I know where this place is I would probably stay here again if I was in the area. Lastly there is a great little diner near this place which I would definately recommend going to get some breakfast at. Leer más

A group of us stayed here for one night. You can order food from the restaurant 24/7. Rooms were big and clean. We were very pleased with the hotel and staff.

Hotel is hard to find. It took us almost 2 hours to find the hotel when it only took us 45 minutes from our home to Garden City. No one seems to know where Hyatt Place Garden City is. Confused our GPS tremendously. When I called Hyatt 800 or 888 # from our confirmation copy, the person that answered could not give us the direction either. I travel up to 100 nights/year. This was by far the rudest and worst management group I've come across after 12 years of travel. We requested a late check out because we were attending a brunch after a wedding. The manager nocked on the door at 11AM (yes, on the door, not a phone call), asking us to please hurry up and leave so that they could clean […] the room. She then asked if there had been smoking in the room. I mentioned that I use tobacco, but no smoking was done in the room. She added a 200 charge because she thought there was smoke in the air.
