The hotel is new, clean, and the decor is fun and stylish. It's located at the corner of Sansom & 17th, close to restaurants and theaters. And it's dog friendly.

Great hotel, valet parking was quick and efficient, staff was very accommodating, wine reception was awesome. Room was spacious, bathroom was beautiful and HUGE! very well kept, love this hotel, will definitely stay here again!

Have loved Phila Palomar from its opening days, but each time we go something doesn't work. My lamp wasn't working, asked desk to fix it; came back, not fixed. Asked for turn down service, didn't happen. Breakfast on Sunday morning finished at 11 AM. Nice places around, but not very brunch customer friendly. Kimpton once again exceeded my expectations! The hotel is located near everything - great restaurants, yoga studios, shopping etc.! I was here for business but plan to return to the hotel with my family for a weekend to explore Philadelphia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palomar. It started with a valet service for a moderate price but I didn't have to worry about my vehicle for the night and was free to walk the city. There was a wine reception where you could mingle even though we kept to ourselves and ate from an endless bowl of incredly fresh popcorn. It is in Center City, close to cultural institutions, Penn Station 30th St., and many business offices.

Refined, elegant place. Bed very comfortable, with soft clean linens. Hot tub in room clean as a whistle, with room for two! Had breakfast and dinner at adjoining restaurant. Peaceful, attentive service and an interesting menu. Close to shopping around Rittenhouse square, and to Academy of music and Kimmel center.

The staff were very professional and the amenities were what you would expect at a good hotel, but the rooms were rather small. Oh, and skip the wine reception if you're a true connoisseur: of the wines I tried there, only one was marginally quaffable while the rest were plonk.

Only stayed one night and loved everything about this hotel. Bright and comfortable modern vibe, we were impressed with so much: the gorgeous lobby with inviting fireplace (so nice on the cold day we were there!), friendly and helpful front desk staff, super quick elevators, spacious rooms (we had a room w/ 2 queens - so much nicer than the usual 2 […] doubles), and fun FREE happy hour! More hotels should take a page out Palomar's Playbook with regard to the latter, creates a fun and welcoming atmosphere with probably not much cost to the hotel. Great shopping on Walnut Street one block up. Will be back! Tip: join Kimpton Rewards for a $10 coupon toward the mini bar and free wifi. Leer más

Wonderful, helpful service. All my requests were accomodated. Friendly staff, very clean and fresh hotel. Not tired or old. Nice workout space as well. Will definatly go back

As every Kimpton Hotel it lives up to fine standards. I would, however, like to to a coffee pot in the room, with the standard coffee amenities.

If I could be pryed from the Japanese Siaj Tub long enough, I found my way outside to forage for food. This Hotel is in the center of the swankier part of Philly. I found a lot of shopping and ate at wonderful restaurants.......all within walking distance! I will be staying there again.

Our friend threw away her shirt because when she used the iron it left a black stain. When I told the check out guy at the end he refunded our $40 parking fee.

We stayed at the Palomar hotel in Philadelphia. It is a fabulous hotel, centrally located to center city. The service was wonderful and the hotel room as well as the amenities were top notch. Awesome hotel, great service, decor, very clean, beautiful room. Complimentary wine happy hour and coffee service was really a nice touch. Restaurant in the hotel (Square 1682) was delicious! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in downtown Philadelphia. Great location. The deluxe spa room was wonderful.

Although I enjoyed the Helix and the Topaz (both in DC) over the Palomar, I still love all the Kimpton line of hotels. My only complaint is their refusal to take cash for incidentals. The parking was outrageous, around $40, but that is parking in the city for you.

This is a great hotel with many shopping locations nearby. The wine hour with truffle popcorn is a great customer service idea. The mini cannolis in the morning with the coffee was also a nice touch. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Kimpton should be proud! As a customer service manager I'm highly critical of service industries, hotel Palomar's staff were great from the moment we arrived through our entire stay. This hotels location is great too, the local bars, restaurants and shops are right around the corner.

Unusual to have a very hip place with the kind of unaffected friendly service you encounter here. the restaurant is great and the service actually better than great. the attitude of the staff at this hotel couldn't be better--and neither will your stay!

Our stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was very helpful as it was our first time in the city. One strange thing was that there was no garbage can in the bathroom. I don't know if that was a whoops or not, but it seemed strange to me.

My husband and I absoiutely love Kimpton hotels--service is spectacular and the hotel is super swanky. We are Kimpton loyalists, especially after our most recent stay. Highly recommend it!

We found the hotel to be clean and very very nice. The staff was great, and the location was ideal. We will visit again, and have already recommended it to family and friends!

Love the location. One bedroom suite is perfect with a huge bathroom. They say they are dog friendly but they are actually dog lovers!!

The other reviews posted are pretty much on target. Hotel Palomar is a fairly new, clean boutique, in a good central location. Our Cityview Queen room was very nice, high ceilings, a little small.

We loved our stay here. We arrived just in time for the daily wine reception, to which they had added a seasonal touch with hot toddy and some hors d'ouvres. Our room was great, very comfortable bed, good shower and nice "funky" fittings. The staff were lovely and friendly and the location is only a short walk from most of Philadelphia's main attractions. […] We liked it so much that we came back for another night two days later! The only mini-complaint I have is the air-conditioning. It was quite loud and not continuous, with the consequence that if you were nodding off to sleep and the air came on, it would wake you up. Enjoyed our stay at the Palomar Hotel very much. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. We visit Philadelphia often and choose different hotels each time but we liked this hotel so much that we will stay here again and again!

Our experience was great at the Palomar in Philadelphia. We were checked in immediately, and after a few minutes in our room, we were checked on by the front desk to make sure everything was okay, and to see if we needed anything. We attended a free wine tasting which was great (but the wine I tried was so-so). Our room service the next day was on time, […] and very good. All the staff were very friendly and did everything they could to help. We stayed in a King room with a Spa tub (very highly recommended) and didn't want to leave. I definitely recommend this hotel. Excellent hotel, except for the unfortunate occurrence of bedbugs in our room. Still waiting for compensation from hotels.com/hotel palomar.

poor mattress and room was a little cramped. The shower head had poor flow but flow at the tub was good.

Although the rooms are not large, they are put together to maximize space and comfort. My only recommendation would be to exclude the dogs from lounging on the lobby furniture. While all the dogs we saw were well managed by their owners, some guests might not appreciate animal fur on the seating. We plan to return.

From the door man, to the front desk person, to the person who worked the bar... everyone was so friendly and professional. Will stay here again in a heart beat. Rooms are a bit pricey, but worth it if you are looking for an amazing hotel experience.
