Awesome service, Acura service wasn't available so they pay our taxi bill! They offered a mini fridge and coffee maker upon request. Its not four season, or the Ritz quality but perfect for a trendy, fun stay. The gym is amazing for an hotel gym,. Treadmills, bikes and elliptical. Good free weight and assisted machine. Close to the action walked to Newbury street and Copley Plaza. Market restaurant was fabulous which is rare for hotel restaurants. upscale lobby with central bar interesting design liked the high ceilings. the talent(love that term) was very helpful and accommodating. rooms were nice, very clean, comfortable beds, great shower. only complaint was the […] noisy heating unit but enough to make a difference overall excellent experience. Problem with the entrance/lobby area...too small. The bar and people are right on top of you when you are in the lobby. The rest of the hotel is great...

The hotel was outstanding with 1 important exception: Despite being in the 11th floor, the noise from the street could be heard. I was surprised that such a modern hotel did not have better noise insulation. This is why I give the room and the overall stay a 4 and not a 5

Staff were very friendly, but concerge steered us wrong with his restaurant choice. also, the hotel says they have a car at your disposal to take you places complimentary,, but both times we needed it, it was unavailable so we ended up taking a taxi anyway. We hated the room....terrible lighting, you need an engineering degree to figure out how to work […] the lights, and the worst part is there is no wall between the bedroomand bathroom...just this screen that you can see through. so if you're with someone who you don't want to watch you while you're in the bathroom, this is not the place for you. if you complain, they put up a shower curtain like thing. I ordered coffee every morning for 5 days and something was missing every single day...whether it was a spoon or the cream or the extra cup...I will never go to a W again...a Marriott would have been way better. Stayed here on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The front desk was friendly, the room was great, and it's just a cool, hip place to stay. Maybe not the greatest location, depending on what you're looking for, but I was able to walk just about everywhere I needed to go.

Very cool looking hotel but room was noisy, uncomfortable and housekeeping service very poor. I will stay elsewhere next time I'm in Boston.

This hotel is a gem, must say. One amazing feature for us relentless business travelers is the food service is on a 5star level, given the chef-restaurant in hotel. One exhausted night, we just ordered off the restaurant menu for room service- awesome! The only downside of this almost perfect hotel is the noise level in lobby on weekend, as it becomes […] a 20-something rave club. A little too crazy for us mid-aged profs. Other than that, and typical W form over function issues in the room (bed light was broken whole week we spent there), the staff could not be more accomodating in so many little and big ways. Convenient to theater district and walking distance to Common and Freedom Trail with many restaurants within close proximity. Bad points: Room has no privacy for the bathroom. A mesh screen separates the bathroom from the bedroom and there is no separate light switch for the toilet. You will wake up your partner at night unless you stumble around in […] the dark. Also the light switches are hidden around the room requiring a voice mail message from the hotel telling you how to make your lights turn on. Even with this message still required a call to the front desk to find the light switch for the bedroom light hidden in a recess in the wall and painted black to match the wall color????? Also there is not enough seating in the lobby/bar area. At night we couldn't find a place to sit with our friends and enjoy a drink because all the seats were taken. Leer más

My daughter goes to emerson college which is located just across the street. Therefore this hotel couldnot be situated any better! Plus the service was great. The driver that took me to the airport was most efficient overall, it was a great experience. İ only wish it was more affordable. İ could afford it because i only stayed two nights. One word Awesome! They let us check in 4 hours early, free breakfast, very friendly, awesome service!

Everything was great. Only problem was that you couldn't leave a light on in the bathroom without also leaving the light on in the room. There should be an independent light in bathroom.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I was impressed by the interior. Very modern, but still essentially classic, very much like the city of Boston. When I got into my hotel, I was taken away by the modern touches and the wonderful amenities. The only two issues I found with the room itself were the fact that I found a used bandage in the bedding […] and a used condom wrapper behind the couch. It was pretty disgusting, but I wasn't going to let it ruin my stay. After I checked out, the taxi attendent found me an amazing limo to take to the airport. That was a lot of fun. Leer más

I expected this hotel to be super clean because of its star rating and reputation. I was shocked when i entered my room. The cleaning crew do not take the time to clean the rooms with detail.

All staff very friendly and helpful. Acura car service nice perk, nice drivers FREE! That was great. If you stay and don't like the screen thing in bathroom, let them know right away., they have some kind of cover for it. We didn't, wish we would of .I found it a strange design. I like total privacy when I'm in the bathroom. Other than that A+

It was nicely decorated the beds were extremely comfortable, the features of the hotel did not match the price tag. Overpriced.

Beds are great. Great location 1 block from the commons. Service is always the best at the W and this one did not disappoint. Very good restaurants in the area and the in-house restaurant The Market is very good. Only disappointment was no pool. Lobby has a very lively happy hour scene.

Such a beautiful hotel with great service and amenities to match! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and appreciated the sleek style and extra little touches.

This was one of the cleanest, best run, friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in. However my husband and I have back problems and it was certainly not designed with the back challenged in mind. The drawers (of which there were only two) were at floor level. But the main issue was the sink. Its a modern bowl atop a counter and the bowl is set so far […] back that we really did hurt after bending to wash at the sink. Dont forget to ask about the acura service. We walked everywhere but it is available for free rides anywhere. Nice touch. Great central location to get to any neighborhood. Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and 7 eleven (best coffee) are right across the street! Leer más

I have stayed a W Hotels before but for the price, this was not worth it at all. The room smelled so bad. The Radisson next door was much better and the rooms were much bigger!!! I wasn't happy at all.

Had a nice stay. The staff was super helpful (sometimes over helpful). The rooms were very modern with interestingly shaped furniture and decoration. The room was tech ready with lots of power adapters. The food in the restaurant was great and the hotel is surrounded by many other nice restaurants. My only complaint is that the room had a strange smell. […] Maybe it's the type of cleaning products that they use but it was definitely a bit overwhelming each time we came back to the room. I stayed at the W while running the Boston Marathon. They were very accommodating to the runners. Very friendly, helpful staff. Beds very comfortable. The only negative which is not a reflection of the hotel itself, is that three of the four nights we stayed there, there was alot of street noise (yelling and honking) at 2 am. I stayed at this hotel […] last year during the marathon and didn't have this problem, but I think my room was facing the other side. Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. Leer más

Had a great weekend stay. Noah at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. Room was spacious, bedding comfortable. I enjoyed it, would visit again.

We had a great stay at the W Boston - great design hotel! The staff was extremely friendly. Location of the hotel is very convenient. The only thing to complain about was that we had a room next to the elevators which made it quite noisy.

W Hotel is situated close to Chinatown which offers a good variety of cuisines. Its staff is friendly and efficient. The hotel is very new - about a year old in Nov 2010. The beds are luxurious. Beds are very important to me as I have a bad back. The bathroom is well designed too. The only fault of the hotel is its narrow space - the hotel lobby […] is longish and the rooms are kind of tight in terms of space. Adding an extra bed is not a good idea. The light switches are hard to spot due to the low lighting and black walls. Leer más

We are a family of 4 with younger kids planning on staying in a double queen room. Unfortunately, The bathroom was separated from the bedroom by a see through fabric panel that provides neither sound no visual privacy. You can imagine how awkward that was. The concierge says this is "standard" - standard in a double queen? A double queen does not cater […] to the romantic set....The staff provided an extra shower curtain to cover the panel that solved the privacy issue (but not the sound issue) but looked terrible and covered the mirror over the sink - tough to shave! Until we spoke with the concierge the next morning of a two day stay, we could not find the hidden switch that enabled the bathroom lights to be on while the bedroom lights are off. You can also imagine how awkward that was - fumble in the dark or wake everyone up! All this aside, The W is a 3-star hotel at best with a thick layer of marketing applied. It is neither luxurious nor comfortable while being relatively expensive. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. Leer más
