Personal muy amable y excelente situación del hotel para visitas turísticas desde un barrio tranquilo y con el metro muy cerca del hotel.

Rooms are small - but this seems to be common in London. The worst was the pub across the street. Although a pleasant pub with great meat pies, many people were standing outside being loud up to 1:30am every night. I do not deem this as a 4 star hotel. Its more like an upscale pension - no more than 2-3 stars

3-stars at best. Not bad, overall, just was overpromised (4-stars?!?) and underdelivered. Great location, though.

Our room was in the basement, and there is no elevator to the basement. We had to lug our luggage downstairs, and then up the next day. The a/c was great, as the outside hall had the heat on full blast. The breakfast room was outside our room. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. Showing its wear, but the staff was nice. The shower was impossibly hot, and there was not much to be done about it. It served our purposes well enough, but if you're the type to spend a lot of time in your room, you might want to look elsewhere. We routinely fly into LHR and train out of paddington, so a convenient hotel near paddington Station is a must. Our usual hotel was booked so we tried the Elysee. The rooms are not luxurious but the neighborhood is great and the staff is very friendly and professional.

Elysee is the perfect central London hotel for those on a budget. The rooms are SMALL - so if you are a larger person, I would not recommend this hotel. The room was extremely small and it was the tiniest shower I've ever seen. The sink was draining really slowly when we arrived and there were hairs in the shower. We were on the top floor so the roof was slanted. No space to put our suitcases. There are bigger rooms in the basement...with no windows and next to the kitchen, breakfast and storage rooms. The front desk was very helpful with arranging transportation and providing directions to various places throughout the city. The only downside is irons aren't allowed and there is only one to use. It was inconvenient to go down to the front desk to get the iron then go in the basement to iron your clothes. I was a little nervous upon walking in and being led to a room in the basement, however, room was very clean, well-lit, convenient to the tube ... overall, not bad! Be prepared, they ask for a photocopy of your passport for 'verification that you checked-in' which I found odd, but staff was friendly and helpful. The Elysee is located in a great neighborhood just north of Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens. The beds are very comfortable and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was sufficient and included in the price. The only down side is that the rooms are on the smaller side, but that's what you get in London without spending a ton of money. I stayed in a basement room and it really felt like basement quality. It was very shabby, the extraction system was incredibly noisy and the shower unit was broken. The toilets in the breakfast room were really bad too. The least I would normally hope for is to get what you pay for - but this certainly wasn't the case - I'm sure I should have got far […] more. This hotel is close to Paddington Station (with rail service to other parts of Britain) as well as Lancaster Gate. That made it really easy to get around London. It also is very close to Hyde Park, which was great for running. It was somewhat noisy down in our basement room, and the air conditioner made some funny noises (keeping me up at night sometimes). […] Overall, though, it was a pleasant stay. This hotel is only a short walk from Paddington Station and about a block from Kensington Gardens. The location can't be beat. The staff was nice, the breakfast was excellent - much better than described. There is internet access in the lobby for a small price. There's nothing wrong with the hotel except that it is old. The halls are dark, the bedroom […] carpet stained, and there were old fashioned bedspreads on the beds rather than the comforters found in so many English hotels. There's just something creepy about old bedspreads and blankets by comparison. The bathroom was recently modernized and was nice, if small. It was very clean, but the room itself was too old to ever look really clean, much less sparkling. I want sparkling. The AC unit in the room barely puts out, but the TV is new. To say the least the room was very small. It took a little getting used to -- we adjusted! They are very clean with daily service and clean towels. What they lack in space they make up for in hospitality. They are so charming and helpful. The hotel is very centrally located to the subway system.

The location was great, especially in its proximity to Paddington Station. There were good restaurants around. The only problem was that on the second morning of our stay, there was no hot water -- a boiler problem to be fixed, but we were leaving for home before we could take hot showers. The staff were attentive and very pleasant.

That is about everything that was good with the hotel.

Convienently located to Tube, Bus and Tour bus stops. Elysee Hotel for the price was a good deal. Clean rooms and somewhat updated. Mattresses had coil springs but comfortable. Breakfast was great and included. Staff falling over backward to be helpful, and they were the most redeeming asset of the hotel. They helped with directions, shuttles to airport, […] etc. Pub across the street had great food and closed early so no loss of sleep, since our room was facing street. One block from beautiful Kensington Gardens. Great location for everything. Lots of hotels in the area we noticed. Beautiful neighborhood. Guests in hotel quiet. No complaints really. The hotel is a 3 star so we got what we expected, it was clean, great location just around the corner from the tube station. Continental breakfast each morning was just perfect, the staff were very helpful. It is an older hotel with narrow corridors but we were hardly there, it was clean and serviced each day. This isnt a 3 star hotel and I am the definitely the least of the hotel snobs out there. I only gave this hotel 2 stars b/c of the location and b/c the people were friendly there. BUT nothing in my room worked. When I first got to my room, my key didnt work - went down to get that fixed. I got into my room to wash up, the sink drain didnt work. I washed […] my face and the sink was full of water (the sink is small, but every hotel in europe is small so this is normal). Waited for it to drain so i could brush my teeth, sink would fill up again. Internet isnt free, so I paid for that but the connection was very sporadic, it worked about 20% of the time. Waste of money. Ive actually fallen asleep while waiting for the page to load. When i wake up the next morning, id see "connection timed out" or whatever. lol. Went to shower in the morning, the shower drain didnt work. I needed to wash my hair and rinse then turn the water off to wait for the water to go down. I conditioned my hair and washed my body while waiting for the water to go down. It never fully went down. I timed it actually - I was able to brush my teeth, dry my hair, and put my makeup on (about 20 minutes) before all of the water in the shower finally went down (this a shower, not a bathtub so the maximum amount of water, id say was about 2 inches high). 2 inches - if i didnt turn the shower off, the water would have literall overflowed out of the shower haha. Oh, and the heater didnt work. You can feel it coming out but it was SO low that you wake up freezing cold. Do yo know how freezing it was while the water was off while i was in the shower and i was waiting for the water to go down enough for me to at least see my feet? I rinsed my feet when i got out of the shower since there would still be soap on it b/c of the soap water. Hotel room was basic but we knew this would be the case. The bathroom was good - sized and had storage which was a nice plus. Breakfast was nothing special but it was nice to have it available. Hotel staff was very helpful directing us to RR station and nearby restaurants. We overlooked a quiet side street. Steps away from Hyde Park and the tube. Only […] negative was wifi service. Website showed it was free which it wasn't but it was priced reasonably. It kept disconnecting. There was no printer available with hotel kiosk computer, which would have been welcome so we could have printed our boarding passes. We really liked that this was the only hotel in many nights in the UK that had a top sheet on the bed. Many others don't have this, just providing a covered duvet (which made us question cleanliness). We would definitely recommend this hotel to visitors for London. Good value for the money. Leer más

Insignificant but quiet and located at the edge of the large London parks, yet tucked away from the main road in a quiet street. Nice, easy pub across the street (and the pubs close at 11 PM, which means very little noise at night). The room was tiny and remodeled. It was a bit spartan/basic but healthier than your average 'danish-and-muffins' breakfast in many US budget hotels. Two things were disappointing. Internet is not freely available. However, you get it for free in the pub across the street -- The Mitre. Worse was that although the hotel has recently been remodeled/fixed up, the beds--at least ours-- have not been renewed. Poorly lit hotel. We arrived at night and the hallways were pitch black, you had to be directly in front of the light sensor for the hall lights to turn on. On the website, the hotel was listed as a five star; when we arrived the room was tiny and dingy. We had checked our baggage in Spain so my husband did not have any toiletries. Me husband called […] the reception and asked if they had a tooth brush and a razor. The gentleman at the desk said no but the store around the corner had those things available. It was close to 1 in the morning and the store was closed. The bed squeked at the tiniest of movements. Hotel staff was not helpful at all. Bathroom was incredibly small. Elysee Hotel - Guest House Vi ankom hotellet tidlig, klokka 10.30 - og innsjekk er egentlig etter klokka 14.00. Vi ble likevel møtt med et smil, og fikk tildelt rom. Rommet var lite, men sengene var gode og det var rent og pent. Fint bad med fliser og dusjkabinett. Vi savnet litt varme på badet, men alt i alt er vi fornøyd med rommet. Frokosten var […] bra. Toast og syltetøy, egg, pølser og tomatbønner, yoghurt, frokostblanding, juice, melk, kaffe og te. En helt fin start på dagen. Hyggelig betjening i frokostsalen også. Helt ok hotell, renholdet er bra. Små rom, men ellers bra. Grei standard frokost med det man trenger.

Kjæresten min og jeg var i London i helgen nå (januar 2012), og alt var bra med turen bortsett fra hotellet egentlig. Jeg har faktisk aldri bodd på et dårligere hotell standardmessig. Og jeg har bodd på helt vanlige hotell tidligere (Quality, Mariott osv). Hadde vi ikke forhåndsbetalt hadde vi byttet. Rommene var veldig små, resepsjonen var luguber, […] det manglet dobørste på badet, TV-bildet var skyete og hadde type 3 kanaler (ikke Eurosport eller de andre "vanlige" hotell-kanalene) og sengen var liten for å være for to personer. Det var heller ikke vanlig dyne, men bare laken med teppe på sengen. Sengen var heller ikke spesielt god å sove i. Til ekstra varme hadde de satt en enkeltstående elektrisk ovn på rommet. De ansatte (utlendinger med gebrokkent språk hovedsaklig) svarte på spørsmål og var forsåvidt behjelpelige, men ikke utpreget service-innstilte. Vi kunne bare få én nøkkel til rommet, og når vi fikk en ekstra på lån noen timer, ble den opprinnelige deaktivert. Så var det ganske lytt, men dette plaget ikke oss så mye. På tilbakeveien fikk vi tilbud om en "shuttle service" som hotellet visstnok hadde for å skysse folk til flyplassen, kostet 65 pund til Gatwick. Vi takket ja til dette og tenkte at det var verdt pengene å kjøre en klassisk London-drosje rett til flyplassen. Da dukket det opp en vanlig personbil uten taxi-skilt med en utlending i, som kjørte oss til flyplassen. Dette var sikkert en kamerat av han som drev hotellet. Alt dette bidro til den negative opplevelsen vi fikk av å bo på Elysee Hotell. Neste gang betaler vi ekstra for et bedre hotell og en hyggeligere opplevelse. Leer más

Vi fik verdens mindste dobbeltværelse, men pænt og rent. God beliggenhed i forhold til metroen (Lancaster gate).

Hotellet ligger fint til med kort avstand til Paddington stasjon (8 min) og 5 min gange til Lancaster gate undergrunn stasjon. Rommet og badet var veldig trangt, frokosten var diskutabel. Betalte for WiFi tilgang på rommet men dette fungerte dårlig.

Dårlig standard på rom, trangt. Tv fungerte ikke, døren dusjkabinett lossnet . Sa ifra å fikk da tilbud om å bytte rom. Avslo dette da det nye rommet luktet fukt å mugg. Vegg til vegg teppe over alt å veldi dårlige senger . Kommer aldri bo her igjen.

Jeg er veldig fornøyd med både service og beluggenhet. Typisk enkel, engelsk frokost i kjelleren, men ellers et veldig koselig hotell med vennlige ansatte.

Hadde trøbbel med tette sluker, og det var dårlig med varmt vann. Rommene var trange (fikk ikke lagt kofferten på gulvet), og EKSTREMT lytt. Du kunne høre hva naboene snakket om, og det hørtes til enhver tid ut som vinduet var åpent. Hvis ikke du er kresen på sånt, og ikke har planer om å tilbringe mye tid på rommet, var dette et helt ok hotell. Men […] absolutt ikke verdt de 4 stjernene de har fått. Veldig bra beliggenhet, nær undergrunn og nær Oxford. Lite rom, men helt greit for å bare sove, ikke noe rom for å oppholde seg i. Bad hadde veldig grei standard. Rent og helt ok. Ikke høy standard på frokost, men til prisen man betaler kan man ikke forvente mer. Anbefaler hotellet om man ønsker et billig hotell nær London sentrum. Veldig bra hotell […] i forhold til pris. Bra läge. Hyfsat hotell för det priset. Tråkig frukost!

Das Hotel war gut aber einfach. Eher ein 3 Stern Hotel als eins mit 4. Doch Zimmer waren sauber, Frühstück war in Ordnung, Lage perfekt. Nur ca. 15 Gehminuten von Marble Arch wo die Shopping Strasse beginnt und gute Metrostationen.

Rommet var veldig lite, og kaldt. Det var også veldig lytt ut til gangen, som ble støvsugd hver morgen veldig veldig tidlig!

Meget koselig hotell, med bra beliggenhet rett ved hyde park! Kort vei(150m) til banen(central line) som tar deg til de viktigste stedene uten bytter! Rommet var lite, men godt rengjort! Hadde varmeovn + ac, så var god temperatur, selv nå på denne tiden! Vil virkelig anbefale dette hotellet og jeg drar gjerne tilbake!

Hade förväntat mig mer i förhållande till priset även om jag vet att standarden på hotell i London inte går att jämföras med de i Sverige! Inte värt att betala för frukosten som serverades i en källare utan fönster och med disco musik som strömmade ut från några sprakiga gamla högtalare. Vi fick dessutom byta rum tre gånger under vår vistelse, dvs. […] nytt rum för var natt. Kort och gott var hotellets standard en besvikelse, men läget bra då det var 2 minuters gångavstånd till närmaste t-bana! Leer más
