Gorgeous hotel, decor, in a fabulous location. Valets and Doorman were fantastic. Reception staff not as helpful or courteous. Enjoyed the quality of the Aveeda products, coffee, and wine hour. Recommend w/out hesitation to others.

The hotel is beautiful on the inside and the room is really nice. Don't bother ordering room service.. it's really expensive and it will end up cold and soggy before it gets to you. We order grilled cheese and on the receipt it said they were done a half hour before they got brought to us. The bread was gross. Also, we had asked for the "companion fish" for our room fifteen minutes after we checked in and they said no problem. They never brought it. Overall, the hotel was nice. Great location, the wine reception is a nice plus, but we were definitely disappointed in the service.

Great hotel in a fascinating historic building. It used to be the home offices of B&O Railroad which spared no expenses on the marble details. The rooms were comfortable with high ceilings and the bathroom was also roomy. I'd stay here again.

Fabulous rooms, great staff, wonderful restaurant, gorgeous historic building... I have stayed in 3 other hotels in the area recently and the Monaco is the best by far. I expect to return soon, and I'm really looking forward to it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Monaco. We've stayed at nearly all the downtown hotels in Baltimore and this has been the best so far.It was clean,spacious and in a fantastic part of town if you enjoy architecture and art.The staff were attentive and friendly,and the wine reception was the icing on the cake.It is also pet friendly!

A jewel of a hotel. Decorated exquisitely. A free wine tasting which could be improved by adding just a few crackers or cheese. The staff was very professional in appearance and helpfulness. The rooms super clean and comfortable on the smaller side so.

The Hotel Monaco Baltimore provided an excellent stay. After a day of horseback riding and a recent proposal I had planned for a trip to Baltimore for my new fiancé and I to celebrate. I booked the Monaco after reading some other reviews online, I am glad I did! The Monaco was a beautiful, new (opened July 2009) and clean hotel. The staff was all very friendly. Bellhops worked hard for the tip I gave them, even took pictures for us. After a one night stay my fiancé and I decided that we wanted more time. I added an additional night to our stay we loved it so much! Being a newly engaged couple, the hotel arranged for a limo to take us out to dinner to Meli in Fells Point, very nice. Although about 4 blocks away from the inner harbor area and aquarium (10 minute walk) this hotel was worth it! The neighborhood was a little sketchy with some bums scattered around but nothing to really worry about, that is most of Baltimore. Also the hotel has no pool. If you stay in Baltimore I highly recommend eating breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, captain crunch French toast is out of this world!! Overall I would highly recommend the hotel Monaco. One final thought, if you want a better room, I sprung for the King premier which included the Jacuzzi hot tub in room, worth it!

This was such a great hotel - clean, spacious, comfortable, interesting. We went with our two children and all int he family absolutely loved it. My daughter was practically in tears when we left. Location is perfect - everything is easily accesible. Staff is very helpful and solicitous. Room was so clean that I didn;t even worry about walking around barefoot or touching the blankets, which often skeev me out in all but the nicest hotels.

Monaco was a very nice accomodation. The room, service, and employee attitude were excellent. The restaurant was good but overpriced and slow. Valet Parking at the hotel was good but expensive. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this hotel - our room was very luxurious - loved the dressing gowns!! Would highly recommned this hotel and the restaurant was fab & served delicious food. The hotel is a short walk from the harbour.

This hotel is a jewel. The staircase at the entrance to the lobby is awe-inspiring. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel was beautiful. Great service too. Would definitely recommend.

We've never been to Baltimore, so were not sure which area to select. Although the hotel is only four blocks from the Inner Harbor which has shopping, the aquarium and other amenities, we were disappointed that Hotel Monaco wasn't more centrally located. There were times when we did not feel safe walking in the neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel. That said, the hotel itself was incredible. Staff members were courteous and helpful. The room was wonderful (although our shower was not completely enclosed which made for a drafty shower experience). We enjoyed the unique amenities such as the complimentary wine hour, fresh baked cookies and goldfish for our room! We only had breakfast in the restaurant on the last day and we were disappointed that we missed the opportunity to enjoy another meal with them. The historical restoration of the ground floor, the decor of the lobby and room were all exquisite.

I was plesantly surprised with the wonderful staff at the Monaco Baltimore. Helpful, cheerful, they just seemed to really enjoy their jobs. The hotel is physically gorgeous as well as soooo comfortable. The staff was very knowledgable about the history of the hotel and the surrounding area. I would fly back to Baltimore just to stay in this hotel!

Great stay from check in to check out.

A historically amazing and restored beauty of a building within walking distance of the harbor. Our room was brand new. The rooms with the big tubs are really fabulous. Can't go wrong here in my opinion.

My wife and I went down to a game for a birthday present. The hotel was in a perfect location. The price of the hotel was outstanding for the quality of the hotel. The food at the lounge was great. I would strongly recommend this hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We were so excited when we arrived at the beautiful Hotel Monaco Baltimore and realized that it was brand new...just opened July 2009! The lobby was gorgeous - all marble and Tiffany glass and our room was well-decorated, clean, and very comfortable. We went to the hotel bar/restaurant - B&O Brasserie - 4 times in one weekend! Loved the food, cocktails, and atmosphere! The staff was wonderful throughout the hotel, but I want to give a special commendation to Sarah...a server at the B&O Brasserie. Thank you all for making our 1st Anniversary so wonderful and memorable!

The hotel ambience and the look is awsome. I loved the location as it is near to all the attractions. The Cons are: The staff needs to be more alert and cater towards the guest needs. Service is not as expected for such a ellegant hotel with brilliant decor and location.

I informed the hotel staff that we would be celebrating our engagement during our staff and we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and 2 items free from the mini bar. Excellent room. Very clean and spacious. A great experience

This hotel is an outstanding value for the price, especially. The rooms are beautifully decorated and unbelievably clean. The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and attentive to our every need. The location was excellent, as we were able to easily walk to Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Camden Yards. We ordered room service at least three times, and other than the fact that it was a bit overpriced, the service was swift and impeccable. We also had drinks in the restaurant at the hotel, and the staff there was just as pleasant. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. My only two small complaints would be the price of the menu items ($9 for oatmeal?) and the price for valet parking ($36 per night). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Baltimore.

The Hotel Monaco is a truly beautiful hotel that lives up to its four stars in comfort, elegance, charm and ammenities. However, the staff needs to gear up its performance so that their behavior is commensurate with the quality of the hotel. No one approached our car when we arrived. The wait staff in the restaurant was slow and forgetful. The housekeepers were not meticulous in their restoring the room each day. To maintain the 4 star status, more training of staff seems to be needed.

Within walking distance of Inner Harbor, downtown attractions, stadiums, etc. Parking very expensive- $36 per day. Nearby city lots were only $10/day. Concierge was not helpful. We asked several questions that he could not answer. He didn't offer to check it out, just said "I don't know". Also, no pool but a beautiful hotel, former B&O Railroad building. Stay away from Baltimore St- many seedy bars, clubs, adult entertainment, etc.

Great place to stay if you want easy access to Metro/Light Rail, Inner Harbor, Little Italy. There's also a Whole Foods nearby.

We've also stayed at the Monaco in Chicago. They've got it absolutely right in every way. They're helpful and vigilant without being intrusive. Absolutely the standard for business and pleasure travel! Treasure! The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, but it's convenient to Shock Trauma, which is where I needed to be.

We were looking for last minute hotel for overnight stay in Baltimore for a Yankees/Orioles game and got a great rate at Hotel.com . We never heard of this hotel before but figures for 1 night it we'd try it. It was more than we expected for service and comfort. A little walk to get to the stadium as well as the Inner habor. They have valet parking for $36/day but we found parking just around corner for half the price. Would have been nice if they offered a breakfast buffet. Their normal rates are more than we can afford but if we can find a low rate again would definitely stay again

Service is good and the hotel is decent. However, one suggestion is to serve a free hot breakfast or at least a discounted price. if not, people will just go closer to the Harbor and get it at the Hampton Inn or Marriot. Need better pilows and a refrigerator in the rooms. Probably should provide a shuttle service to the Harbor for those that can't walk that far. If you want to be closer to the Harbor, this is not the place. The hotel is fine, but it needs to provide more to attract customers especially for this location. The hotel also needs a bar.

Hotel Monaco Baltimore was a pleasant stay from the decor to the professionalism displayed by the employees.

We were pleasantly surprised!! The hotel and the room were beautiful. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk served in the lobby at 4--and wine at 5---was really a wonderful touch!! Everyone was friendly---we were more then satisfied!!! We will defenitly return.

I found Hotel Monaco to be very beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Valet parking was quick and convenient and the staff was very courteous and helpful at check in. Location was very convenient to all Innner Harbor and Historic sites in Baltimore. Everything was wonderful during my stay and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. One of the very best!

The staffing at The Monaco Baltimore provided the best customer service I've ever received. They were the best! The hotel is simply beautiful and tastfully decorated, spacious and very, very clean.

The room was big and furnishing was good. The front desk was very helpful and courteous. The staff all over were friendly and cheerful. Free high speed internet access was great. Location was good, we could easily walk to the inner harbour and also not far from historical Charles street. Parking with some security was about 2 blocks away, which was ok, with $12 per day. A fire alarm went off at 2 a.m. the first day we arrived. Fire engines arrived and after half an hour, while we were in the street waiting, we were told it was a false alarm and we could go back to our room. Then another alarm rang before 5 a.m. The room was not cleaned during one of the days that we were there. Shampoo and conditioner supplies stopped for a couple of days. Though they immediately delivered the supplies when we complained. Some insect bites, not sure if they come from the bed, the bed sheets looked very new, and are high quality.

Location a little shaky at night. Because lobby on 2nd floor, you don't really get sense of coming into a nice hotel, more like an office highrise. But the rooms are extremely nice. Very, new modern. Exceptional bedding. Breakfast ordered night before was late. No pen in room, but two notepads. Have to pay for wireless access from room.
