"Un hotel bonito"Comentado por Gaby, de"Monterrey", el 11 jun, 2011
El hotel es muy limpio y bonito. Hay un puente peatonal que lo conecta con un centro comercial, en el que encuentras una variedad de tiendas y restaurantes.

"Very beautiful"
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. A few things that made me give 4 instead of 5 stars - *There was a sign in the bathroom stating you could call down and get spa services, including manicures and pedicures. My friend and I decided on getting those, however when we called downstairs the woman who answered the phone acted as though we were crazy […] and making up the sign from our bathroom. We read exactly what it said and she told us she had never heard of that before and they did not offer it. * While the shower looked amazing, once it was used we realized there was actually no door on it!! End result being the bathroom got pretty drenched after we had both finished our showers. *The mini fridge in the room had lots of good looking treats, but the fridge itself was not cold as it was unplugged. Some things I really liked- the beds were incredibly comfortable. Both of us are early risers, but not that day!! The animal print robes and socks were also cute, in addition to the umbrella you could choose to either borrow (for free) or keep (at a price) was a really nice feature. It was definitely one of the better hotels I have stayed in. Leer más
"Hotel Monaco Baltimore Md"
This was my 2nd Wedding Anniversary and we wanted to do something different. I chose the Monaco for the location few blocks away from the Inner Harbor. The Rooms and Service were just as I imagined. My Husband & I really enjoyed the time spent. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

"Hotel Monaco - Baltimore"
There were nice details in this hotel. The architecture of the former B&O Railroad headquarters helped make this hotel seem more luxurious, i.e. the high ceilings. Smaller details like a complimentary umbrella in the room in case it rained and the zebra and leopard print robes also made this hotel different and special. We experienced the fire alarm […] went off at 5:45 a.m. which caused us to jump out of bed, throw on clothes and walk down 8 flights of stairs. It turned out to be a malfunction and the hotel comped the parking fee. Leer más
"A deliciously refreshing weekend adventure!"
The mood was set from the moment my daughter and I arrived at the Hotel Monaco. We were politely escorted upstairs by the bellman where we were offered some fresh cookies at the front desk then was given a delightful glass of champagne...it was a serendipitously un-expected beginning to a wonderful mother daughter weekend! The surroundings are exquisite […] with a somewhat - amusing and very elegant decor. The employee's were both friendly and refined adding to the experience. Comfort is obviously well thought out at the Hotel Monaco with a mattress to die for and wonderfully fluffy smushy luxurious pillows to escort you onto cloud 9. The only thing that could possibly be improved upon would be the late night room service menu. It starts rather early in the evening for being in the city (10 pm) and the two items that we ordered were rather bland...but the servers were delightful. Next time I come to the city for a conference I would not even consider staying any place else! It has the feel of a boutique Inn rather than a Hotel...which once you have experienced....makes all the other big name Hotels just feel like franchise chains! I LOVED the fact that we met people with their dogs in the hotel...it makes this Inn feel even less like the big name chains! Leer más
"Hotel Monaco is exceptional."
We would definitely stay here again. The hotel is beautiful. A stunning restoration of the office of the B&O Railroad headquarters. The rooms were gracious and comfortable. The furnishings were beautiful and the staff exceptional.

"Hotel Monaco- More than expected..."
First off, I'd like to say that I am not one to write reviews for hotels. Even though I am a loyal user of reviews when deciding where to book a room, I am not one to take the time to write a review myself. So, with that being said, I am a 25 year old young man who decided to take a trip to the Inner Harbor for a weekend getaway with my girlfriend for […] Valentine's Day. This place was beyond immaculate. The customer service was unbelievable. For example, I realized I forgot my phone in my car after they valeted it. So, as I went down to the lobby to ask if I could run out to my car to get my phone, a staff member struck a conversation with me and he actually told me to go back to my room because he would personally go out to my car to retrieve my phone for me! He did that and brought it to my room. This was only being at the hotel for a matter of 20 minutes! The room- beautiful. Very clean, the decor was very warm, and the 15 foot ceilings gave the room a very open feeling. The bed was too comfortable; I could've slept all weekend in it. The two nights we stayed, we called the front desk to arrange a cab ride. I called the front desk AS I was leaving my room and by the time I reached the door to go outside, there was a cab waiting for us and all of the doors were held open for my lady and I by the staff members. I have NEVER stayed in a hotel were I was so pleased with EVERYTHING about it. The price, the staff, the location- all was above par. The place was like a museum. They even have a complimentary wine and champagne hour from 5-6! Free wine and champagne! Really. IF I could complain about anything, it would be how loud the heater was in the room when it turned on and how hot the room became so fast. That thing cranks some serious heat. Also, the valet parking was a bit pricey- $36/day. But, considering the alternatives, or lack thereof, completely worth it. My advice: stay at the Hotel Monaco. You will not be disappointed and they will make your stay very memorab Leer más

First room did not have working heater, replaced by lovely new room but failed to give me new key needed to work elevator up to my room.. Next morning at 9am ran out of lobby coffee where I arranged a meeting. When I asked for coffee they brought me 1 cup that was actually cold. Strange. However, before checking out I spoke to manager who discounted […] my bill respectfully and pleasantly. A beautiful, elegant hotel that had a few quirks. Leer más

"Monaco Baltimore - great rooms and bar area"
A great hotel within a terrific building, comfortable rooms, very good bar area, use the valet, the car parks around there are risky and cost about the same !
Great hotel in a less than great location. B'more has fallen on hard times. Our hotel experience was 1st class, but DT B'more has fallen low. Stay in Camden, Harbor East or Mt Vernon. DT is all shuttered storefronts.
"Loved it!"
This place was great. Quirky and fabulous!

"Excellent choice near Inner Harbor in Baltimore"
Of the range of choices of hotels in the Inner Harbor area, this is an excellent one. The majority of others are the "garden variety" mid-range choices that are marked up because they have a Harbor view. The Monaco Baltimore is but 3 blks from the Harbor but is a decidedly better choice. The design of the hotel - like every Kimpton hotel - is upscale, […] simple and pleasing. The rooms are enormous, both in square footage and in terms of the 15+ ft ceilings. Service is excellent. The surrounding neighborhood - like anywhere in Baltimore - is questionable, but as I said, if one is going to the Harbor, it's really less than a 5 min walk. If I was going to identify a negative, it would be the restaurant and bar. Service is poor. The drink selection is not that great. The food in the restaurant is really quite average and is very heavy. I would not recommend either to visitors. Overall, if you are staying in Baltimore and want to stay somewhere a little "different" (something other than a beige Marriott) that is still quite close to the Harbor; if superior service is important to you; I recommend the Monaco Baltimore. "Hotel Monaco Baltimore"
An excellent hotel located a few blocks from the Harbourside and close to Metro trams and housed in historic Baltimore & Ohio railroad headquarters. Well run by Kimpton group and provides good facilities with a locally well known bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Rooms are medium size and well outfitted in a typical Edwardian E-pattern design […] of the main building structure so somewhat dark by modern standards. Public facilties good with abundant sofas and chairs in contrast to many business hotels. Good wi-fi availability and free on joing loyalty programme a great benefit. Leer más
"Monaco Baltimore, a Kimpton Hotel"
We were in town to attend a memorial service. Odered breakfast in dining room. Ordered a fruit plate with rest of order, never came. Before we left hotel went back to room and toilet paper dispenser fell off wall. We didn't have time to report it, but housekeeping came in cleaned around it, let it exactly where it fell, folded toilet paper and left […] it on back of toilet. Ordered room service next day, ask for 2 glasses of water, none was delivered with order. Ordered oatmeal with fruit. No milk or sugar of any kind came with the order. Traveling in a couple weeks and a Kimpton hotel was offered, we opted against it based on our Baltimore stay. Leer más
"monaco baltimore - dimaond in the rough"
The hotel facility and experience was top notch. Although, I wasn't impressed with Baltimore. Wouldn't want to go for leisure. If I have to go back for bussiness, I will stay at the Monaco again. The room was very well done and comfortable. Especially loved having a renovated bathroom. Very clean, nice fixtures, tiled shower with glass door.
"Monaco in Baltimore, the Land that Time Forgot"
I knew Baltimore was a rundown city but I had no idea how bad the downtown area is. Even though it is just a few blocks from the waterfront, I did not feel comfortably safe in this part of town, especially after night. There are entire buildings on this block that are abandoned. The old B&O building the hotel occupies is pretty neat but it was awkward […] that the hotel was scattered on random floors. There was a breakfast tray sitting in the hallway outside of my room when I checked in. It remained there until I went to bed. We got excruciatingly slow service from the cocktail waitress at the bar. The hotel was nice and the room was well decorated. I feel like the location and operation of this hotel is a waste for a Kimpton hote. Leer más

"Monaco Baltimore - vey posh!"
We chose this hotel for its location - very close to the 1st Mariner Arena, where we planned to see a concert-but were very impressed with the posh accommodations and amenities. We loved the refreshments and Wii console in the lobby and especially, the complimentary companion goldfish for our room! The staff was friendly and accommodating. We plan to […] return for a girls' weekend soon. It's also close enough to walk to the Inner Harbor. Leer más

"Great Hotel to Just Enjoy The Room"
Reserved the king premier spa room for two person bath and separate shower. Oversized, 3.5 feet deep tub! Great for relaxation and cuddling. Granite everything with 15 foot ceilings! The bed was the best bed I've slept in. This is a luxury room. Great for pampering your spouse or significant other. Pay for the valet parking, self parking is not convenient. Surrounding […] area is purely business district. No restaurants or atmosphere. But who cares, you're there for the room. Leer más
"A gem, not considering the area..."
I booked a king size single room for the fourht of july weekend. I have to admit, I got this room for a great deal. This wasn't as close to inner harbour in comparison to the Renaissance, but it was a nice hotel nonetheless. The attendants were kind and polite, the room itself was wild in terms of decor (stripes x paisley x polka dots x leopard spots) […] which oddly meshed well. Didn't think I was going to like it but it grew on me. Nice little chair too. The location was actually in downtown baltimore, which is about a 10 minute walk from inner harbour, 30 minute walk to fell's point. On my first day I walked 10 miles (was really there to explore Fell's Point) but had no regrets. I didn't get to experience B&O brasserie but the menu looked nice. Had a 750 ml of Caymus Conundrum on the menu too, for a cheap $30 or so (not bad, considering their mini-bar prices). They has Aveda toiletries. Oh, the one thing about my room that I thought was interesting was that the shower stall had no door, just a glass panel that covered 1/2 its length. But that's all. Nice well kept hotel. Leer más
"Nice Baltimore Hotel"
Very clean, modern, and packed with amenities. The staff was very nice and proactive in trying to help with any needs. I am planning on staying there again.
"Beautiful hotel, walking distance to major sites"
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel with security access to the guest floors. The staff is so courteous and helpful. When we arrived we were instantly greeted by a bellhop who took our luggage to both the hotel lobby check-in desk and to our room. At check-in we were offered lemonade and a chocolate chip cookie. I accepted thinking I would receive […] a plastic bottle filled with lemonade and a cookie in plastic wrap. I was treated to a real glass filled with freshly squeezed lemonade and 2 warm chocolate chip cookies. I felt like a queen. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The pillows were terrific. I got such a good night's sleep. The hotel is within walking distance of Camden Yards, the Inner Harbor, and other tourist attractions. It was extremely hot when we visited and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We did not participate in the wine reception. I will definitely stay here again! Leer más

Building and hotel were gorgeous. Loved the goldfish that we asked for. Quiet room, great restaurant next door. Valet parking was overpriced so we parked ourselves but it was no problem. A lovely stay

"Monaco Baltmore- Kimpton"
We had a great stay in Baltimore! We go annually to see the Orioles and eat crab. We usually stay at a Marriott but decided to try something different this year. This is a beautiful hotel in close walking distance to all the Inner Harbor activities. We ate breakfast in the hotel and it was very good. I've seen other reviews that comment on the $36 a […] night parking charge but we've paid that or more at other hotels. I guess people were surprised if they haven't stayed in city hotels. We will stay here again next year. Leer más

The only issue is that on the king size rooms the air conditioner is REALLY loud and wakes you up. The small king room is better.
"Monaco Baltimore"
an excellent hotel; very friendly and courteous; great rooms with high ceilings; amazing Jacuzzi and separate shower; one poor experience in the bar that was rectified and our other times in the bar / restaurant were excellent
warm and pleasant staff. i was delighted to have one of my lost object retrieved and mailed back to my residence!
"Hotel Monaco Baltimore"
Like all Kimpton's this hotel has a character all it's own. The staff is superb and the ambiance is very enjoyable. Always happy when I stay here
"review"
Gorgeous hotel, decor, in a fabulous location. Valets and Doorman were fantastic. Reception staff not as helpful or courteous. Enjoyed the quality of the Aveeda products, coffee, and wine hour. Recommend w/out hesitation to others.

"Nice hote, service needs work"
The hotel is beautiful on the inside and the room is really nice. Don't bother ordering room service.. it's really expensive and it will end up cold and soggy before it gets to you. We order grilled cheese and on the receipt it said they were done a half hour before they got brought to us. The bread was gross. Also, we had asked for the "companion fish" […] for our room fifteen minutes after we checked in and they said no problem. They never brought it. Overall, the hotel was nice. Great location, the wine reception is a nice plus, but we were definitely disappointed in the service. Leer más
"Outstanding Hotel"
Great hotel in a fascinating historic building. It used to be the home offices of B&O Railroad which spared no expenses on the marble details. The rooms were comfortable with high ceilings and the bathroom was also roomy. I'd stay here again.
"A wonderful stay"
Fabulous rooms, great staff, wonderful restaurant, gorgeous historic building... I have stayed in 3 other hotels in the area recently and the Monaco is the best by far. I expect to return soon, and I'm really looking forward to it.
"highly recommended"
We really enjoyed our stay at the Monaco. We've stayed at nearly all the downtown hotels in Baltimore and this has been the best so far.It was clean, spacious and in a fantastic part of town if you enjoy architecture and art.The staff were attentive and friendly, and the wine reception was the icing on the cake.It is also pet friendly!
"outstanding Hotel"
A jewel of a hotel. Decorated exquisitely. A free wine tasting which could be improved by adding just a few crackers or cheese. The staff was very professional in appearance and helpfulness. The rooms super clean and comfortable on the smaller side so.
"Superb Hotel Stay!"
The Hotel Monaco Baltimore provided an excellent stay. After a day of horseback riding and a recent proposal I had planned for a trip to Baltimore for my new fiancé and I to celebrate. I booked the Monaco after reading some other reviews online, I am glad I did! The Monaco was a beautiful, new (opened July 2009) and clean hotel. The staff was all very […] friendly. Bellhops worked hard for the tip I gave them, even took pictures for us. After a one night stay my fiancé and I decided that we wanted more time. I added an additional night to our stay we loved it so much! Being a newly engaged couple, the hotel arranged for a limo to take us out to dinner to Meli in Fells Point, very nice. Although about 4 blocks away from the inner harbor area and aquarium (10 minute walk) this hotel was worth it! The neighborhood was a little sketchy with some bums scattered around but nothing to really worry about, that is most of Baltimore. Also the hotel has no pool. If you stay in Baltimore I highly recommend eating breakfast at the Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, captain crunch French toast is out of this world!! Overall I would highly recommend the hotel Monaco. One final thought, if you want a better room, I sprung for the King premier which included the Jacuzzi hot tub in room, worth it! Leer más
