El Hotel Canal Grande tiene un ambiente muy agradable. Está ubicado en un barrio tranquilo y rodeado por naturaleza. A la misma vez está muy cerca de la autopista. Las habitaciones son buenas, con TV cable, Internet inalámbrico y refrigeradora. La única cosa que cambiaría yo fuera que prefería si no usaran cera para los pisos. No es necesario y los pisos se sentirían mas natural sin ese olor de cera. Pero en su conjunto es un lugar recomendable y voy a quedarme en el Hotel Canal Grande otra vez.

Algo caro por lo economico que pueden ser los hoteles en costa rica, pero es un buen precio por un hotel de lujo bien ubicado y seguro. El staff fue muy amable, las habitaciones comodas, con buena seguridad.

El Gran Hotel Costa Rica mantiene una gran elegancia y es muy confortable. Creo que una modernización de servicios y reforzamiento de su estructura le vendría muy bien, pero respetando su estilo de gran hotel. Todo el personal fue muy atento y cuidadoso con nosotros. La comida del restaurante magnífica. Si volvemos, seguramente nos hospedaremos nuevamente aquí. Lo recomendamos ampliamente.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. If you have an early flight, like i did, this hotel is just the one you want. Check in was easy and receptionist was fluent in English. When we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in San Jose, all of our clothes were soaked from a week in the jungle. They didn't have a washer dryer, but were very helpful in locating the one next door and calling ahead to tell them we were going to use their washer/dryer. If you travel to San Jose in order to travel by car from here, this hotel is very conveniently located right near the airport and rental car places. Check out the ROSTI CHICKEN restaurant across the parking lot. "easy, pretty much clean, cheap"
easy to check in, CANNOT walk to and from airport. We got to airport late from a bus ride thinking we could walk but ended up having to take a taxi for just $3 so no big deal. "Perfect location to airport"
The hotel was only a 5 minute drive to the airport with their 24 hour shuttle service. The room was nice and the service was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Located literally across from the airport and a short walk from major car rental companies. Even though it was super close to the airport the planes were not loud or that noticable. There is a Denny's and a couple other restaurants in the parking lot and a huge, clean Walmart a one minute drive away.

This hotel is great if you have a late flight in or an early flight out...shuttle runs 24 hours - just minutes to your bed after a long day of travel - clean, airconditioned, free breakfast, free international calling, free internet access. American friendly, great staff, swimming pool. Would definitely stay there again!

Great hotel! Check-in was very smooth and staff extremely friendly. The hotel was clean, comfortable and had a good breakfast. It was very convenient to the airport and I would stay there again.

From the moment we stepped off of the plane we were treated well by every person we encountered. We had no idea, but this hotel has shuttles that pick you up right from the airport without request. On our way our we were greeted by airport employees who directed us to our hotel representative, who in turn called us a shuttle! It got there quickly because […] the hotel is literally 5 minutes from the airport. Our driver was very kind and when we got to the hotel we were treated very nicely and they were eager to help us with any questions. Check in and check out are a breeze and the hotel is nice for late arrivals or early departures, even though san jose is nothing special. Nice place and close to airport. Make sure you rent your car from one of about four or five agencies located right next to the property. It makes it much easier to return your car. Very clean and friendly; right next to casino and you get a voucher for FREE play; breakfast was AWESOME; shuttle to airport very accomodating; highly recommend hotel
great choice for a pre-flight overnight stay. Comfortable rooms and clean. First floor better than second as no sound of flights overhead.

What can I say, excellent hotel, seconds from airport. Very clean and staff was professional and helpful. Picked up our Grayline bus here at the onset of our trip and took it back the night before we left. Very convenient to the hotel. Also right next to a Denny's and Fiestas casino (try the Ceviche - excellent!)

"Convenient and Clean -- Hampton Inn is better"
This hotel is fine, but for the same price the Hampton Inn next door is better. The Holiday Inn Express breakfast is horrible while the one at Hampton is pretty good. The check in process at Holiday Inn Express is inefficient and slow -- Hampton is always fast and efficient. Staff is friendly at both, but Hampton is more eficient. Don't hesitate to book this hotel.....we stayed our last night there, and it was perfect for that. It is clean, the staff is friendly and it takes 5 minutes to get to the airport via a free hotel shuttle.

"Great location"
the downside to that is the some of the planes flying directly above the hotel. First night on Feb. 4 we had a room on the first floor and didn't hear the planes to much. 2nd night we staid on the second floor the wing closest to the airport and the engines were loud. pro's- free shuttle 24 hrs, rooms were clean, king size beds were comfortable. con's- […] planes flying by at night, TV was old tube style with no volume balance. Hallways smelled like cigarette smoke- in the room was no smell. . Pool was cold hard to swim in. Next time we'll try the Hampton inn since they share the same shuttle bus and situated behind Holiday inn. Leer más
