Ayres Hotel Redlands - Redlands 34.0629, -117.19606

The hotel was clean, the staff curteous. Our room was spacious and well appointed. There was an included breakfast each morning which was wonderful. This is a great hotel for anyone, even small families. The best place to stay in Redlands.

I and my child enjoyed the hotel's good looking and clean room with a flat TV (HBOs but no Disney or Nick), clean hallways and facilities, heated outdoor pool (swam in late November) and well-functioning spa and hot breakfast. The location was right off the freeway (so it is not a resort), but was quiet. The fastfood restaurants were at the next intersection (but Tri-City mall should be taken off as an nearby attraction. It is not a typical big indoor mall - a group of stores in the neighborhood.)

Based on all the great reviews I saw on this site, I was expecting a nice comfortable night at the Ayres Hotel. I figured it would be a pretty standard business class hotel, and it was. The room was larger than most and the bed was pretty comfortable. But after I got into bed and turned off the TV the noise from the freeway - literally RIGHT next to the hotel, and practically on top of the room I was in - became horribly apparent. It was so loud the walls vibrated whenever a truck passed by, which was about every 30 seconds. At first I thought a helicopter was circling the hotel. There was no way I could sleep in that room, so I requested to switch, which they did within 15 minutes. I was moved to the other side of the section I was initially on, and could still hear the noise from the freeway, although much more quietly. Luckily that room also had a ceiling fan which helped drown out the noise from the freeway. Although the rooms and staff were decent, I would NOT stay at this hotel again due to the noise level.

Nice clean room, somewhat boring in decor. You really should "lose" those down comforters - way too hot! I have an issue about them not being inside a duvet cover as well. Down blankets would be a much better option. The hot breakfasts were a real treat. Great selection and helpful staff. Having a few "smoking allowed" rooms would be much more hospitable than having guests relegated to an area that can only be described as an uncomfortable, pitiful place that demonstrates utter disdain for those who smoke. Obviously there was no thought given to the comfort factor or making these "types" of guests feel like they are welcome human beings.

I was very pleased with customer service and the attention to detail.

The room was clean, comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. Only complaint was a limited selection of cable channels (Bloomberg but no CNBC). A real bonus is the complimentary breakfast including waffles and cooked-to-order omelets.

What a beautiful hotel! Great location to the freeway, grounds were very well upkept, complimentary breakfast was amazing, nice pool and the room was beautiful & comfortable. Nice bed and bedding! Nice flat screen TV too! I would absolutely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I were in town for a reunion and didn't want to drive far from Redlands but from experience knew we weren't going to have much luck finding a nice hotel nearby. We were in luck. Not only was the hotel very nice, seemed brand new even, but it was very decently priced. Nothing negative to say. And although we didn't get to stay and take advantage of the free breakfast, it smelled wonderful when we were checking out.

Plenty of room, no noise, very comfortable beds, looks newly built/renovated, staff was great....we will stay here again!

We stayed here while attending a wedding in CA. THe rooms were very nice and clean and comfy. The hotel staff was very accommodating! The breakfast was awesome - Hi Pedro! I would give this place 2 thumbs up and stay here again in a heart beat!

We stayed one night during a two-day orientation for parents of new students at the University of Redlands. Very nice rooms, and the staff was attentive and friendly. It's right by the freeway though, and while the rooms shut out the noise, the ambiance isn't the best. They've done a lovely job with the courtyard though. Unfortunately, our room faced west toward a parking lot and the stairs leading down into the courtyard and lobby seemed a million miles away. That part of the design felt a little unsafe, actually. Next time, I will ask for a room facing the courtyard.

The hotel was over all very nice. The couch/hidabed was missing from our room for some reason, but they told us ahead of time and offered another room....but we liked the location of the first room best and weren't going to be hanging out in the room, so it seemed okay. The amenities of the room were otherwise very nice, clear down to the lotion & soaps! The one thing we were disappointed with was the fact that it was right off the freeway and we asked to have the location of our room away from the freeway noise! But, I mean the hotel was a stones through away from it....which was too bad! The breakfast was very nice.

Having stayed at other Ayres hotels around L.A., we were not disappointed with the Redlands location. We were upstairs and had a large, spacious room with vaulted ceiling (with fan), a flatscreen TV, microwave, and fridge - perfect for families with kids. Our only complaints were that the room had a "green" energy-saving feature that required the key to be inserted in a wall-mounted card reader to power the lights, A/C, etc. We got in to the hotel late in the evening and with the hot temperatures outside it took about 5 hours for the room to cool to a comfortable level that was at all conducive to sleep. Also, the pool was inexplicably chilly given the hot temperatures outside. it could have been a touch warmer but was fine once we were in for a couple of minutes. The only possible improvement would be an elevator to reach the second floor rooms (they might have one... I just didn't find it). This is a motel/hacienda style layout with rooms opening to exterior corridors rather than a typical "indoor" hotel design. Luggage trips up and down the stairs in the searing heat were not fun and are not recommended. Nonetheless, this is very nice hotel at the right price. Very pleasant and helpful staff, great breakfast, comfortable and nicely furnished rooms, and a very adequate pool. Best choice in Redlands as far as we're concerned.

Very clean, large rooms, friendly staff, large breakfast available, nice area outside to gather. Would recommend asking for a room that is on the inside facing the pool, much nicer than those that face the parking lots

We were very happy with the accomodations of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and decorated up to date. There was a flat screen TV and the hotel is energy efficient. The complimentary breakfast served every morning was a full breakfast which we enjoyed immensely.

Very nice roooms and very quiet for sitting right next to the freeway. It took quite a while for the room to cool off but all in all it was very good. The free breakfast was great!

The Hotel is in a good location for ESRI . The breakfast is the best I saw in the US ever with afull breakfast. the swimming pool and whirlpool are good especially at not to ease off your day. The cleaning of the rooms is good but always I had to ask for shampoo and towels which was not abundant. But otherwise an excellent business hotel

Staff was excellent, letting us register early. Everything was very neat and clean. Breakfast was excellent. definitely met our needs. Would highly recommend!

We will definitely stay here again. The rooms are large and well decorated, nice pool in a courtyard setting, outdoor fireplace and fantastic full complimentary breakfast, even including eggs cooked to order and waffle maker. We very much enjoyed our stay.

When I was selecting a hotel on Hotels.com I came across one that had a 100% recommendation rating, it was the Ayres. I decided to give it a try, and I am soooo glad I did. Just mark me down as "dido" for all the wonderful things that were said about the place. I will be a returning customer.

This is the third time we've stayed at the Ayres Hotel and each visit has been perfect! The hotel staff is very helpful and professional. The breakfasts are very good, and the evening social hour is great. It would be nice if the social hour could be extended to Friday evening instead of just Monday through Thursday. Otherwise, I have absolutely no complaints!

Excellent hotel with well decorated large room with nice sitting area. Large bathroom with plenty of room. Seperate vanity area. Included is a full breakfast with cooked to order items. Interior courtyard has family outdoor covered area with gas bar-b-que and outdoor fireplace. We will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful staff and "quiet rooms" due to sound proofing lend this to be an excellent choice of places to stay. My only reservation was the noise from the air conditioner. It needs a lower setting available rather than "ON" full force whenever operating.

This hotel is a gem! Quality and comfort are at the top of the list here. The room was very clean and spacious. My husband and I especially enjoyed the complimentary breakfasts, including a made-to-order omelette bar. The grounds are well-tended and the patios are inviting. A wonderful place to spend a few days!

Brand new hotel. Very clean. Free breakfast was much better than traditional continental breakfasts. Parking was a little inconvenient if you have a room adjacent to the courtyard, but at least it was free. Would stay there again.

Great room for the money

It wasn't the least expensive hotel in the area, but well worth any extra money I may have paid. Wonderful bed, comforter and sheets, modern wide screen TV, and both wired and wireless internet access at no extra charge. New facility, spotless room with high ceilings, and nice California/Spanish style motif. The pool is in a central courtyard, which could have been noisy, but perhaps vacancy rate was high, or guests were extra polite. The really big surpise was the breakfast. I've seen them all, including free breakfast with a crowded eating area featuring only coffee and a donut, but this was the best ever, anywhere. Big variety of food and drink, and amazingly, a skilled chef in a white uniform and white chef's hat who cooked anything to order right in front of me. All free. I just re-read this, and realize it sounds as if I were some kind of shill, but this was really a great stay.

The hotel is well kept- very clean and great amenities for the price! We did not eat the breakfast (free by the way..) but next time we stay we definetely try it. We will stay here next time for sure!!

This place is new and very nice. The manager is very motivated to make your stay a great one. We attended the complimentary happy hour on Thursday and enjoyed the free full breakfast both days we were there.

We loved this hotel! The room was modern, spacious, and clean. I was truly impressed with the continentatl breakfast. It contained the standard fare: cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee, danishes, fruit, waffles etc., but also featured a chef cooking omelettes to order! The hotel staff was also very helpful in assisting us with locating a restaurant for dinner. I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

This was a hidden jewel! This hotel was more than expected. Got a great price on Hotels.com and received many extras that are added to the bill at other hotels.

Spent 3 nights and each morning had a wonderful breakfast, clean and close to all we needed.

My room at the Ayers Redlands was possibly the most comfortable of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Despite the hotel's location right next to the freeway, the rooms are incredibly quiet and the pillow-top mattresses are extremely comfortable. I almost chose a cheaper option, but—having arrived at Ayers at the end of a long and exhausting college tour with my son—I'm very glad I splurged on this one. The breakfast offered many options, and the fitness room is well-equipped. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Ayres Redlands Hotel. I would like to start by saying, I have never experienced a satisfaction level that was soo rich.. The hotel was truly amazing all around and left a smile on my face! The complimentary breakfast was outstanding to say the least. There was a diner attendant who made sure everyone was completely happy and well served. There was also an omelet chef who prepared sausage and scrambled eggs. All of the food was high quality and delicious. The room itself was very comfortable. It had vaulted ceilings, large flat-screen TV, arched bathroom entry, quality materials all around, 'fridge, microwave, coffee pot, mirrored closet door, nice appliances, ect.. VERY comfortable all around. Bravo. I would like to take a moment and state that I am in no way affiliated with the 'Ayres hotel' association. (I was just very pleased with my stay) To wrap this up, I would like to mention the service. The front desk attendant was knowledgeable and courteous (similar to a true concierge). The attendant was able to suggest a restaurant and *printed us 'Mapquest' directions to our final destination!* Overall, we were extremely impressed with the room, dining and service we received. I will stay at an 'Ayres Hotel' whenever convenient. -J&J

We had a very pleasant stay at the Ayers. Great deal for the money. There was a kids' soccer tournament group booked at the same time we were there, which made the breakfast deal pretty hectic. However, all of the hotel staff, including the maintenance people, the front desk staff and the manager, all pitched in to bus tables, keep food on the buffet, etc. We would definitely stay there again.

Very clean. Enjoyed the cooked to order breakfast. Pool and jacuzzi clean.Would definitly stay athere again if I was in the area.
