Hotal bien situado. Decoración muy oscuara en las habitaciones. Carpintería muy básica. Cuenta con un buen Restaurante Japonés.

El hotel esta bien ubicado, bonito pero los estacionamientos son muy caros, el día cuesta $42.

Areas de habitaciones y baño muy cómodas, zona de lobby muy pequeña. Corredores muy oscuros, falta más limpieza en el carpet de corredores y habitaciones

I had been staying at the Hyatt Regency for my birthday weekend, when i decided to extend for Sunday night, the rate was pricey. I booked a hotel on internet that was comparably priced to the xxxxx first night stay. When I got to the next hotel " the xxxxxxxxx it was a whole in the wall. The bathroom window was borded up with wood, the room was the […] size of a walk-in closet. I was so upset, I immediately left the Hotel and located yet another. The Donnovan House was my saving grace. This hotel was beutiful, the decor was very modern. The rooms had all the ammenities and the view said relax. Very satisfied with hotel and service.

The hotel itself and the staff are great. Double rooms were over booked so they gave us a suite for no extra charge. Staff were always polite, smiling, helpful and efficient. The room is really nice and comfortable. Location is good, close to metro stop, walking distance to the White House. My husband and I stayed at the Donovan House for one night to see the sights in D.C. Parking was an issue right off the bat, be for warned...the garage that is meant for hotel guests wants to charge $42 to park your car for 1 night alone. There are other garages in the area but make sure you pay attention to their hours because some are closed or open […] at strange times on the weekend. The hotel staff were very friendly and provided great customer service. They even provide a list of restaurants within a few blocks that they recommend. As far as going to see the museums and such; yes it is a straight shot to the mall...but bring those tennis shoes and be prepared to walk! It's about a mile (if not a mile and a quarter) from the hotel to Constitution Ave. We weren't complaining about the exercise, it just gets a little tiring. The location however is great, it didn't take us long to get in or out of the city. Oh, and for the occasional "whoops! I forgot to bring this!" moments, there's a 24hr CVS across the street. This hotel offersgracious and great service, is a nice walk to the Metro, and is a wonderful place to come back to at the end of a day of working and walking. Many things delight the eye--from the flame outside the front door (you can see it a block away at night, so you know you're nearly there as you approach the hotel) to the nautilus-shaped shower […] stall. This is a comfortable, welcoming place for the smart set, whether you're on the hip side of "smart," or on the intelligent side of "smart." It shows what seems to be a continuous loop of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (yes! James Stewart), in beautiful black-and-white on one of the lobby walls. The only minuses: the sink drain was sluggish and the weak water pressure required a longer time in the shower. The restaurant offers an excellent variety of drinks and Asian fusion food. Get the Shanghai Mojito on the first night of your stay; it will set you up for an excellent visit to the District. Leer más

Very close to the Metro and much cheaper to use it from Reagan - convenient to use - great restaurant with best hot and sour soup I have ever had! Inexpensive restaurants within walking distance

We spent the weekend in DC for the Army Navy football game. The Donovan was great...the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. The decor is modern with a circular shower, huge windows and comfortable, cool furniture.

Staff was very nice but I agree with previous reviews about the shower water pressure being a bit light. Small rooms but not a problem since you hardly need to spend much time in them. Beds were comfortable, room amenities were fine. Couple of strange spots on the floor and handmarks on the leather "cocoon" bed frame which left a bit to the imagination, […] but it's a hotel, so you have to expect many previous people were once there. For the price I have really little negative to say. If it were a five star hotel and a price tag to boot, then it would be a bit different, but for the location and obvious upgrade, I would recommend it. Leer más

We love this hotel,fun,sexy convinient and clean. We stay here all the time on our weekend getaways.The rooftop on the summer months is awesome.

While visiting D.C. I had the opportunity to stay at Donovan House a Thompson Hotel. I cannot say enough great things about my stay. The staff were more than curtious, helpful and provided a level of service that I would say is unlike any other. The hotel had a modern feel with "old world" service. Anything that I needed was promptly provided and without […] question. The location was perfect situated at Thomas Circle it was in walking distance to all attractions with front desk provided me with maps and directions to where I was going when departing in the mornings. There is a 24hr CVS across the street which I found to be very handy. Once again I cannot say enough great things about Donovan House and have been telling anyone who will listen since returning home. Very Impressed. If I am ever to stay in D.C. again I just hope Hotels.com will still be offering a deal through there website for this Hotel! Truly made my trip top notch... Leer más

Great location, great staff, modern, clean, new, and loved the contemporary style. Only downfall was the extreme price of parking. $42 per 24 hrs. If you aren't driving no worries.

My best friend and I stayed here because of it's location - and the awesome roof top bar in the summer. It was nice, but not great. The beds were hard and everything was small. The ceilings were low, the furniture was short... it was a bit strange. But it was clean and nice. It's a very euro hotel.

Great place. Great staff. Only downside was the stains we found on the sheets and blanket. It wasn't a major concern and the rest of the room was perfect.

The Donovan House was convenient to the metro and to the bus. The interior design was modern, clean and charming. I have never seen anything like it and I loved it. The room had a cool shower and the bed had a marvelous canopy. The staff could not have been nicer and more of a help regardless of what we wanted to do. I'll start off by saying the staff was very nice. Now.. The valet parking was pretty high even for DC. The bathroom in the studio king had no fan. The shower was cool, but less than I expected. I have a thing for modern bathrooms. I like them when they're high tech and fancy. I thought that that's how this bathroom would be. If you leave the door to […] the bathroom open you get cold because there's no door on the shower, its a spiral. And they shower head is pretty small so it doesn't cover you completely. If you close the bathroom door it gets hot in there, fast. And it takes a very long time for mirrors to defog, even if you open the door. There are other mirrors in the hotel room you could use to do your makeup but the lighting is very poor if you don't open the curtains, but that doesn't do you any good if It's dark out. The sink in the bathroom is massive and cool but leaves you little to no counter space. The bed was ok, a little hard for my taste. And if you're a light sleeper like me, the constant noise of traffic and honking will keep you up. I didn't sleep well. The mini bar was astronomically priced, which is the case with all hotel mini bars but they were also charging for the coffee, which is free in most hotels. I won't be staying there again, I'll probably choose the mariott down the street next time. No wonder I got a half off deal from hotels.com. Leer más

My stay was GREAT!!! They upgraded my room without my request. The room was a good size with a excellent view of the city. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Overall I would stay again at the Donavan House and recommend it to EVERYONE.

Very nice hotel, centrally located with lots of cafes and convenient stores nearby. However, the hotel is not suitable for people travelling with small children as the hotel rooms does not have bath tubs and the showers are overhead showers with no faucet or hand-held shower with hose. This makes rather difficult to bath children.

Loved the hotel upgraded with comp breakfast at check in for my fiancee. The front desk guy was the best will come back again and again. Oh yeah the views from our tenth florr suite was AWESOME !!!!!

Asked front desk for more coffee packets which they forgot to do. Carpet in rooms needed to be shampooed or replaced. Running a vacuum in the corridors at 7:30 AM is not polite. Three Strikes.

We booked the Donovan House because the price was right and ratings were not bad. The hotel lobby is very nice and at first glance so are the rooms. However, when the lights are on, it becomes clear that cleanliness is not high on their priority list. There was vomit on the floor in the first room we were given and while the hotel was gracious in providing […] us another room (with an upgrade), the upgraded room smelled like frat boys and was also questionable. If price is the main factor for you, Donovan House might be the right choice. However, if cleanliness is also important, you may want to consider spending a few extra dollars for another hotel option. While we still managed to enjoy our stay, we will not be back to the Donovan House. Leer más

This hotel was located in downtown dc...two blocks away from the metro. Great night life. Across the street from a 24 hour cvs. Decor was very trendy, lobby was welcoming, with a lounge feel. Buffet style breakfast at attached restaurant was 4 to 5 star quality. Will surely reserve again!

The lobby wasn't as grand as shown on the website, and it would've been nice to have a drink at the pool bar with the addition of some heat lamps considering the 'ADC' part was one of the main things advertized, but in all, it was a great hotel to stay at. Hotel is very trendy, reminiscent of the W-Hotel chain. Clean & contemporary atmosphere. Walking distance from bars/clubs/restaurants. Only negative was the shower water pressure. Rain shower head which are nice but water was more of a sprinkle than a "shower". Other than that very nice.

had a two night stay and had a wonderful stay. Had one problem... the the hotel restaurant menu was not correct and was told an hour and a half after i placed the food order that cheeseburgers were not available on Sunday. After talking with restaurant manger the cheeseburgers were delivered free of charge. Check in and out were convenience and easy. […] Parking my vehicle was outrageous ... $42 per day. I was not told of the costs for parking a realized the charge at check out... had i known the cost i would have parked somewhere else cheaper. Leer más

loved this hotel!! from the moment you walk in the door. very helpful and nice staff.

My stay was ok up into they gave my room to someone else and they walk into my room while I was in bed.

The hotel overall was very nice, but I was a little weirded out by the leather walls and globe chairs. It was pretty fun, but sometimes not that practical. Also, curtains don't properly hid all the light (which is pretty bright in a city) so it was hard for me to fall asleep.
