The hotel was chosen because of the location to the nearby attractions that we wanted to see. It was very easy to find even though its down a side street but that made it better. The area is very good with easy access to everything you wanted for a weekend trip to Paris. The hotel was very good with it looking as if its been newly refurbed, and if modern […] minimalist is your thing then this is done very well. Staff were very helpful and polite. The only negative is that as the floors were all wooden or tiled they were noisey with people walking around. But that didnt really bother us much. Leer más

The location of the hotel was perfect, walking distacne to almost all the must see sites. Staff very friendly and always willing to go an extra step to help you. The room was very confortable, renovated and super clean.

The street is quite. right in the middle of PAris. Near the subway. easy acces.

Great location, so close to the Metro and a great neighborhood, many restaurants, cafes and shops. They provided excellent customer service and accommodated our last minute request to have our two rooms next to each other which we had not previously asked for. Our rooms were on the bottom floor (sub-floor) and only had a view of a tiny outdoor area, […] but we were happy to be next to each other. Rooms were very nice and spotless. Loved the bathroom, also. Great boutique look and feel throughout hotel. Staff went out of their way to assist my friend who unfortunately had lost luggage. A lot of phone calls with the airline...! The location is excellent walking distance Louvre 2mins, Place de la Concorde 15mins, Notre Dam 10 mins, Paradis Latin 15mins. Great choice of shops and restaurants near by with RER link 2mins away & Metro across the road. Hotel food & accomodation very good-only one fault was the very smelly corridors leading to the rooms -same all floors, otherwise […] very clean- big rooms and very helpful staff who speak excellent English. Very nice boutique hotel - unusually spacious room (for Europe).

Awesome location and amazing staff. Stayed in a superior room which was definitely roomy by euro standards. Great service---bed always turned, room cleaned daily, etc. Staff was helpful for finding directions, recommendations, etc. Greetings every time they saw you and really put customer service first it appeared. Best part is the location is mad […] close to all the sights---and a bus is only a block away at Pont Neuf to get to the Left Bank (Eiffel Tower, etc). This hotel is in a fantastic location - central to everything and very convenient. The staff are extremely helpful (and most of them speak very good english) and eager to assist in any way possible. L Empire Paris was a fabulous boutique hotel around the corner from the Louvre. My room was huge, it was a great change from all the hotels I had stayed in the last 4 weeks! The staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. I would love to return to Paris soon and I would definitely be staying here again!

The hotel has a great location only around 2 minutes walk to the metro station. The rooms are ok and clean. The hotel is small but in Paris sight seeing is more important. Great local shops down the road to buy drinks etc.

The staff were very nice and location was very good. However the facilities themselves are not so great. Our room had water seeping under the floor and when you stepped the water came up through the floor boards. They did change us to another room and had plumbers/ repairmen come in immediately to start repairs. We enjoyed our stay at the Empire. We had an excellent, quiet room, which was very spacious with good linens. This hotel is in an excellent location for touring important sights in the city. Service was very good. Staff made a big effort to answer questions and set up tours for us if we asked.

Great hotel and good location (about a 5-10 minute walk from the main entrance of the Louvre) and the staff were very lovely. The rooms were one of the biggest I’ve stayed in central Paris and this is a massive selling point for a hotel in Paris. On the downside it looked a bit tired around some of the edges once you started to look closer; chipped […] bath, shelf practically falling off, lime scale around the edge of the bath, the pain fading on the desk, but we're talking minor things that made no impact to my stay. The feel of the hotel is very early 2000’s; lots of monochrome, arty style pictures etc. Doesn’t feel very Parisian considering it is such a beautiful building, but it means its well equipped with everything you need, including docking stations in the TV, power showers etc. You couldn't fault the staff at all; we could check in early, the bar man made us specially designed cocktails, the maid checked to make sure we had everything we needed, the breakfast waitress was very attentive etc. The surrounding area is a bit mixed. The immediate streets are lovely, and you can find some great places. We did walk to the Marais most nights, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. Overall great hotel, staff and location but could do with a little TLC. Very worth a stay, and I have paid more but got less in Paris before. Leer más

I have stayed here on three consecutive visits to Paris. For location, great value (outside of the European summer), beautiful modern rooms and very comfortable beds, it is my preferred choice. Quiet location in the middle of everything.

Great and helpful staff. Rooms clean but tired art deco style. Location is great by Louvre and Pont Neuf. Lots of local resturants close.

The staff was all five star by USA standards. The hotel itself does not deserve more than three stars by American standards, as there are no gym facilities, and the air conditioning is not very strong. Overall, for a small boutique hotel id was more than fine with an excellent location.

We stayed at the superior room for our honey moon. And it was a very unpleasant surprise when we realised that there was no city view from our room. All we could see from the windows were small yard and white walls and windows of another house, so that people could watch what was happening in our room. We were very upset and preferred to keep the draperies […] closed. This is absolutely unacceptable situation for superior room and 4 stars hotel. The staff lost our luggage and delayed check-in for 1,5 hours. Location of the hotel is good - close to Louvre. There are a lot of nice restaurants nearby the hotel. The hotel is generally normal. I usually stay at 5 star hotels, but the Paris Airshow was occurring so everything was sold out or $1500. Since we needed 3 rooms, this wasn't going to work. What I usually rave about with 5 star hotels is the service, L'Empire blew them out of the water. The small boutique atmosphere coupled with young, vivacious staff proved dynamo. If anything, the amenities were a bit TOO modern. We had trouble figuring out how to make the shower work, and the lack of a shower curtain or door meant the whole bathroom got a spraydown everytime we took a shower. Sorta funny. Nice hotel, staff was SUPER friendly and helpful. Would stay again for sure.

I have stayed in Paris before and knew where I wanted to be. L Empire is situated in the very heart of the Louve neighborhood, near Notre Dame, great cafes and eateries. The service is outstanding, the staff is very helpful, and rooms are modern and very comfortable. I will stay there again.

ITS ALL GOOD EXCEPT MINI BAR IS CRAZY PRICE STAFF FIRST CLASS.

If you want to be close to the Louvre in a spacious modern room, this is an ideal pick. A bit pricey but worth it.

Fantastic staff, a great location, spacious and well appointed rooms, free no-code wifi and strangely scented hallways make this an ideal place to base your next Paris visit. Just watch out for the showers which were impossible to use without soaking the whole bathroom.

The staff here is young, polite, spoke English, was very helpful and accommodating. I arrived early and was immediately shown to my room. For a Paris hotel, this was a stand out. A true boutique, small lobby and restaurant. My room was very nice size and faced a pleasant courtyard. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Location is great -- next door to the Louvre and steps away from the Marais. Overall a good choice if you're on my kind of budget (around $200 US).

The staff at the hotel were extremely pleasant and helpful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. L'Empire is walkable to many of the most notable sites in Paris, the Louvre, Notre Dame etc.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. We arrived at 8:00 am after an over night flight from the States and were able to check in right away (the room happened to be available, otherwise we would have to wait until the afternoon check in time) . We booked a "superior room" which was very clean and spacious. The hotel location is fabulous. […] Free WiFi available (I believe the Hotel.com website says there is a surcharge). I agree with some of the other reviewers who said don't bother with the breakfast. There are so many great places to eat around the hotel, why limit yourself to one overpriced hotel meal every morning? The only negative was that our room was below the lobby level which made it very quiet for street noise, but we were near the maid/janitor rooms and they were noisy at all hours of the day and evening. But we weren't in the room that much, so it wasn't a real big deal. They had periodic water outages (I don't know if it was due to construction going on at the building next door) but they always gave us enough warning so we could plan our day accordingly. This is a lovely small hotel for those who detest the large hotels that are so impersonal. The staff was very helpful and all speak English. The room was small but we had a king sized bed, (very hard to find in Europe) and it was comfortable. My husband liked the variety of cable channels, many in English with American and British shows. The buffet […] breakfast is not worth the 25 euro price. When we checked out, the elevator was broken and one of the staff carried our luggage to the lobby from the third floor. The neighborhood is very close to the Louvre and a Metro stop. There are lots of cafes and shopping close by. Would stay there again. Leer más

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is a fantastic boutique hotel in a great location. The staff are friendly, the room was great (we were given an upgrade) and it made the perfect week-end break

This hotel was AWESOME! The staff was very pleasant and always there to help. There is a subway station practically at your front door (Louvre Rivoli). They have an awesome breakfast and a bar you can really enjoy after a long day of sightseeing. There are tons of shops and the back of the Louvre is in your view from the street. The hotel was in a perfect location to access the key sites in Paris. The rooms were well-appointed, and very quiet, and bathrooms were modern and perfect for Americans. The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay enjoyable.

The hotel was close to the Louvre and a couple of different subway stations. Notre Dame was within a short walking distance from the hotel just across the river. Also, there were lots of restaurants on the little side streets behind the hotel. Plus, there were some small grocery stores just a couple of blocks away. The breakfast included was great […] and had a good variety of foods to choose from. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only negative was the tub was very tall and no shower curtain, so it was difficult to take a shower without the floor getting all wet. Every thing was tiny including the tables and chairs in the bar which is used for breakfast. This hotel would definitely not be a 4 star in my book but the location is great if you are a tourist.

We stayed in Paris twice during our vacation. The first time was in the Latin Quarter. If we had known about the Les Halle area in advance we would have stayed in that area the first. L'Empire was a fantastic hotel and the location was central to everything that we wanted - Louve, shopping, Norte Dame, and the metro to get to other locations. The staff […] addressed us by name during our whole stay and was very accomodating when we asked about reservations for the Louvre and Eiffel Tower. If we had stayed at L'Empire at the beginning of our vacation, we may have never left Paris! There's always next time! Leer más

My girlfriend and I spent a long weekend i Paris. It was our first visit to Paris so we wanted to stay central and within walking distance to all the attractions and close to the shopping area. For that the location was perfect. We have heard about the "small" French hotel rooms and that the standard may be below the Scandinavian, but this hotel had […] absolutely "Scandinavian "standard, flatscreen tv in the room, very clean and perfect size. It was perhaps a bit expensive, but we felt like we got value for money, except from the breakfest which was really expensive. Better to eat in one of the many close by café's. Leer más
