Good location Fitness, Sauna & Jacuzzi look like they haven't been used in a long time, 1 of the 3 machines out of service If you are interested in a nice, but simple hotel in great location, I'd advise you to go to Carat Hotel, although it is by no means a 4 star hotel.

Our three day stay in the Carat Boutique hotel was comfortable and convenient. Located about 300 meteres from Deak Ter and the central hub for transportation meant we could get in and out and around the city with ease. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great! Myself and the Gamster spent 5 days in Budapest over New year. The hotel is nice and clean with good size bedroom and bathrooms. As often the case it was 2 single beds pushed together not a double but this happens and is not the end of the world. Nice bathroom with a good shower, the Gamster did say the hair dryer wasn't the best but did the job. I […] did feel the room would of benefitted from a kettle perhaps.Some reviewers have mentioned outside noise - our room face inwards over a courtyard and was quiet enough but I dont know about the ouward facing rooms at the front so I can't comment. the staff seemed helpful and nice, a lady even walked down the road to the high street so we could get the taxi to the airport they booked for us (the road where the hotel was busy with some procession) so we got the right one - a nice touch Breakfast was nice, with a fair bit of choice. For the money its a good standard hotel and can't really be faulted in this respect (for the money I would say its above average) The hotel is also in a great location - we spent 5 days and didtn't use any public transport just walked everywhere taking the sights of Budapest. It is what it is - a good standard hotel - if you want "Ritz" stlye glamour then pay for it elsewhere, but if you want a nice hotel to rest your head in a top location the the Carat is great and i'd stay there again. When booking my hotel I tried to do my homework and choose a hotel that is close to everything. I really hit the jackpot with this hotel as You can see Deak station from outside the hotel, St Stephen's basilica is just round the corner, and the bars and cafes are close too. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. The rooms pristine. My first room […] was on the small side, but I asked to change to a room with a bath- not a problem a.d this room was much larger. The only 2 negatives are that the rooms towards the street side suffer from street noise, and the fitness room was pretty poor. Really nice hotel in the city center. Near to almost all tourist attractions, clean and modern room, good breakfast and friendly service. We could walk to almost everything and if not, the metro is 50 meters away. Quite cheap for being located in the city center and offering not only nice rooms but also spa. Charming hotel in the centre of Budapest. Close to public transport and Hop-on-hop-off Bus. Good breakfast included in room price. Would definitely return!

This time I had the nice surprise of finding a place which was even better than my expectations: modern and clean, a few steps from the underground and the city center, helpful personnel at the reception, good breakfast. This hotel is literally around the corner from the WIzzair bus which drops you in the city center from the airport. We had a great stay and cannot fault this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a very clean, comfortable, hotel for a fantastic price.

We were more than happy with the Carat Boutique Hotel. Its a nice, well-designed hotel, clean and with a fairly good breakfast. The location was perfect, near lots of nice bars and restaurants and only a short walk to the Danube and the more touristy part of town.

Although the location was excellent for us, the room on the first floor overlooking a very busy, trafficked street allowing us to breath in petrol fumes when the window was open. It was full on winter, but rooms always overheated in Budapest, must open windows for a breath of fresh air - only to suck in fumes. When I mention this to the manager - he […] said "Well, of course this is a city centre with a lot of traffic, what do you expect?" Oh I don't know, how about expecting to breathe? We asked for a late check out and again the same manager was quick to tell us how much it would cost. All the rest of the staff were helpful, charming, gracious. The manager seemed more interested in the extra money and not at all bothered by traffic fumes. Although the hotel was nearly empty, and it would have been no bother to move our room to an inside courtyard window. I think attitude speaks volumes. I will say the breakfast was one of the best of these type hotel in the area. It had lots of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereals, little pastries, hot eggs, bacon and some other hot things that change daily. There were cheeses, cold cuts, veges etc. It had a range of drinks hot and cold, including melted chocolate for hot chocolate drinks. And the staff in the restaurant were superb (we owned restaurants and know these things). They were efficient, helpful, cheerful, and a very good presence in the restaurant. We spent three nights in this hotel.This hotel is very centrally located in Pest! A short taxi ride to Buda and the palace. We had an inside room with absolutely no noise. Highly recommend this hotel to tourists and business people . Beaware that smoking is the norm in Budapest! You can sit in non-smoking areas in restaurants but it is little difference. The Palace is a must see as well as one of the 'bath' houses. Another must see is the book store/wine room at the Alexadra Book store top floor at 39 Androssy. Another must see for dinner the Kor resturant on Sas street just south of the US Embassey.Make a reservation.Service and food were the best at a very reasonable price. We are very satisfied with out stay at Carat hotel. The location is very good, right by Dieak Ter, where 3 metro line meet. Many sites in Pest are within a walking distance. The room has a nice design with mild color, the size is big compared with our room in Roma. The bed is comfortable and there's no unbearable noise from outside. We had a safe box […] in the room too. The breakfast is suffient with a good variation.There are only few small negative things (which didn't influence our pleasant stay much): The curtain is a little bit thin for the morning.The shower is fixed too slow, so we had to hold the shower head all the time. Perfekt läge - nära till allt! Kort gångavstånd till shopping. Trevligt hotell. Frukostbuffén var bra, mycket att välja på och trevlig personal. Rent och fräscht i rummet. Lite lyhört ut mot gatan dock. Jacuzzi och träningsmaskiner fanns det också, bara att boka i receptionen. Prisvärt hotell!

Vi är mer än nöjda med Hotellet... Väldigt centralt men ändå lugnt och tyst läge. Personalen var trevlig och väldigt hjälpsam. Mysigt relaxrum med bastu och jaccuzi som man kunde boka utan kostnad. Ett litet minus att sängarna var något hårda. Rekomenderar ändå varmt detta hotell.

Hotelli sijaitsee erinomaisella paikalla ihan Budapestin ytimessä, kuitenkin rauhallisen kadun varressa. Pari askelta hotellin ovelta metrolle ja ratikalle, joilla pääsee kulkemaan ympäri kaupunkia. Hotels.comin kautta yöpymisen varaaminen sujui täysin ongelmitta. Hotellin palvelut hintaan nähden olivat erinomaiset.

Alt var flott for oss på dette hotellet - Beliggenhet, størrelsen på rommet og badet, veldig bra frokost og vennlig personale. Eneste minus var trimrommet, det var en skuffelse.

Good location. The fitness room is very basic and consist only of a bike and a threadmill. Breakfeast is a bit under a standard buffet. Good cleaning and nice rooms. Very good and stable WIFI. Nice spa

Hotellet ligger oerhört centralt, tar max 2 minuter att ta sig ner till tunnelbanan och stationen deak ferenc ter som är stora samlingplatsen, lika nära är det till spårvagnshållplatsen där flera linjer stannar. Vi fick superfina rum, välstädade varje dag och väl ljudisolerade - vi stördes inte av vare sig trafik eller andra hotellgäster. Sängarna […] var dock väldigt hårda. Frukosten var helt okej, vi kom en kvart innan den stängde första dagen och då fanns där inget bröd så vi fick be personalen att fylla på. I övrigt fanns det juice, kaffe, te, bröd (olika sorter om man kom tidigt, en sort om man kom sent), yoghurt, flingor, müsli, äggröra och någon form av stekt korv tror jag också. Bra service från hotellet, vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Vi var överlag väldigt nöjda med hotellet. Att tänka på, när vi skulle checka ut fick vi betala en så kallad "turistavgift", något som ingen av oss upplevt tidigare men jag har nu i efterhand hört att man kan få betala den i ex Italien också. Dock var vi i Budapest för ett år sen också, på ett annat hotell och då betalade vi ingen sådan avgift... Den var en euro/natt och per person. Leer más

Mycket centralt placerat med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Att en stor och god frukostbuffé ingår, försämrar ju inte alls intrycket.

Strålande läge med såväl 3 tunnelbanelinjer som bussar, spårvagn och "hop on-hop off" bussar" på 1 minuts avstånd. Även mycket nära turistbyrå, små mataffärer, operan och trevliga restauranger. Hotellet håller bra standard och är tyst och lugnt. God frukost med allt vad man kan önska. Litet gymrum med tillhörande bubbelpool och bastu får man låna nyckel […] till - trevligt! Das Hotel Carat.liegt sehr zentral.Oper,Vaci utca,Nationalmuseum sind nahe.Viele nette Lokale sind in derselben Straße.Unser Zimmer war sehr klein,für 2 Nächte aber genügend.Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig in einem schönen Raum.

Ligger nära centrum två minuter till Vaca Utca, nära allmänna transportmedel. Dessutom ligger det bra beläget för att ta sig till Judiska kvarteren, Operan och shopping.

ottimo hotel, in posizione strategica per poter visitare la città a piedi. Vicinissimo alla linea metro. Servizio impeccabile, camere pulite, colazione compresa nel prezzo varia e abbondante. Personale alla reception sempre gentile e preparato che tra l'altro parla un buon italiano. Senz'altro da consigliare

Vi kom till hotellet sent på kvällen och möttes av en mycket trevlig receptionst som pratade bra engelska. Blev ganska besviken på rummet som var litet och låg på plan 1 med utsikt mot "gården" och taket till frukostmatsalen, vilket gjorde att det kändes som att bo i källaren. Rummet var visserligen fräscht och väldigt tyst. Morgonen efter bad vi att […] få byta rum. Det gick bra och vi fick ett rum på plan 2 mot gatan, lite större och utan källarkänsla. Väldigt nytt och fräscht. Bra badrum, sköna sängar och tyst tyckte vi, trots att rummet låg mot gatan. Helt ok frukost med olika typer av bröd, yoghurt, müsli/flingor, olika pålägg, äggröra/kokt ägg och olika varianter av korvar, samt några bakverk. Väldigt gott kaffe. Ska man klaga på något så var det väl juicen som kändes mer som söt saft. Läget är bra nära metro Deak Ter, varifrån man kan ta alla tunnelbanelinjer. Även gångavstånd till Vaci Utca med affärer och restauranger och till flera sevärdheter, tex St Stefansbasilikan. Kan absolut tänka mig att bo där igen. Leer más

Der er lige hvad man har brug for, høre meget lidt til naboer. Personalet er altid venlige og smilende, så man føler at man er i centrum.

Hotellet låg precis vid den största shoppinggatan i Budapest och det var gångavstånd till vattnet samt en del sevärdigheter. Ligger även nära det torg där många sightseeingbussar avgår från och har spårvagn precis i närheten av hotellet. Mannen i receptionen var jätte hjälpsam och bra på engelska. När vi letade hotell bland fyrstjärnigt urval så hade detta hotell det bästa priset. Detta hotell valdes främst pga läget, fritt internet och bra omdömen beträffande frukosten. Läget är fantastiskt. Området känns säkert och hotellet ligger bara ett kvarter ifrån Deák Ferenc tér där alla de tre tunnelbanelinjerna stannar. Internet ingår. Man får en […] kod i receptionen, sedan fungerar det utan inloggningsproceduren under hela vistelsen. Visserligen kunde det vara lite segt stundom men inget som påverkar betyget i någon högre grad. Det fanns även spa och gym nere i källaren som ingick i priset. Besökte ej denna och vet då tyvärr inte vad för utrusning detta innebär. Frukosten var bra/medel. Fanns fyra varmrätter som varierade de olika dagarna. Oftast fanns det äggröra, kokta ägg, stekta tomater och grönsaker. Bacon serverades inte varje dag utan endast två utav de fyra dagar vi bodde på hotellet. Drycker bestod av två juicesorter, kaffe, te, mjölk och de sedvanliga tillbehören. Ett litet utbud på frukostbakelser, flingor och youghurtar fanns att tillgå. Bröd erbjöds med de vanligaste påläggen. Vi kände inte att något saknades; däremot var urvalet på frukosten inte att jämföra med den frukostextravaganza som de flesta Hiltonhotellen brukar erbjuda - bara för att ha något att jämföra med. Är ni hungriga vid ankomst så rekommenderas Trófea Grill som ligger längre ner på samma gata. Där serveras en enorm buffé som passar de flesta in i smaken (ifall erat sällskap har varierande preferenser på vad som anses vara ätbart är detta stället perfekt för den trötte resenären). Kostar lite olika beroende på vilken tid man ankommer till restaurangen. Kolla deras hemsida för priser. Ska ni åka kollektivt till hotellet behöver man i dagsläget byta färdsätt en gång för att nå fram till Deák Ferenc tér. Först buss från flygplatsen, sedan byte till tunnelbana. Under vår vistelse höll man på att bygga om byteshållplatsen vilket gjorde att bytet till tunnelbana gjordes vid en annan plat Leer más

Als Stadthotel, ist dieses Hotel gut geeignet. Man kann auf kürzesten Wegen viele Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichen. Die Zimmer sind großzügig. Das Bad könnte jedoch um eine kleine Spur größer sein. Das moderne Interior macht den Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel richtig angenehm. Die Sauberkeit war bemerkenswert. Es gab z.B. Matratzenschoner. Leider war die Bar […] um 23.00 schon geschlossen (das sollte in einem 4 Stere Hotel nicht sein); dass soll aber in dieser Stadt das geringste Übel sein. Leer más

Litet snyggt hotell på bästa adressen. Gång avstånd till allt. Näröppen mat butik 24 tim. i samma kvarter. God frukost, trevlig o kunnig personal, bra rekommendationer till bästa krogarna i stan. Kommer absolut att bo där igen då jag besöker Budapest igen.
