The hotel is not the fanciest ever, but, it is next to the beach, which is amazing, it has a nice pool, staff is very nice and friendly, they do their best, they are really nice people, you will feel home. Bedrooms are ok, but well, you can not ask more for what you pay.

Butterfly Beach Nov/Dec 2011 Butterfly Beach is in a great location, close to the action in Oistins. The beach was awesome, all the amenities we needed were available. Our one bedroom unit was quite spacious and there was a daily happy hour. Despite the crush for parking spaces we enjoyed our stay at Butterfly Beach Hotel.

Room was very basic, clean, bed really too softy (beat-up) ... not happy with this place. Checked-out after one night.

We have stayed there several times and always enjoy the low-key ambiance of this hotel. Stall extremely welcoming,helpful and friendly. Slightly disappointing evening menus and entertainment but catering quality very good, just a bit 'samey' during the week. They also need to overhaul their entertainment schedule, same as last year and probably several […] years - however, only a five minute bus ride to St Lawrence Gap for more action. The stay was prefect however, the restaurant food need to be upgraded and the staffs were not as friendly as the other staffs members.

Hotel had great little restaurant right on the beach, which was gorgeous and very private. When we were there was not crowded at all. Close to bus pick up. Front desk people were great and helpful. Only thing I didnt like was the towel fees you had to pay for using more than one towel that was provided for you in the bathrooms....

IThe location was not as great as I thought, Bridgetown is not that close by, but the staff was very helpfull and help booked a taxi for early morning. The staff was great, and always ready to help. I found the hotel really good. A nice beach and pool, plenty of lounges. The manager's reception Monday night was a nice touch. The manager was very friendly and outgoing and it is unfortunate many of the staff did not have this same attitude. The room was really large and had a nice balcony. The cleaning staff was very friendly. (There was a bit of […] sand on my floor and a few ants but they did a really great job cleaning otherwise.) Certainly not so for the restaurant or security staff. Security would not even acknowledge you and the restaurant staff was very aloof and not proactive. There was info available on area attractions but I never saw anyone at the activities desk. Apparently there was a shuttle to Bridgetown but I was not told by hotel staff, but instead fellow travelers. At check-in, I received no info except my room number. The other service I received from the front desk staff was much better. Overall, a positive experience. I believe you would enjoy this hotel whether you wanted to simply lounge on the beach / by the pool or were just looking for a place to lay your head. It is on a main bus route and you can get to Bridgetown and restaurants/bars (St. Lawrence Gap) and the fish fry (Oistins) very easily. There is parking if you have hired a rental car. The food is okay and is not overpriced, but I would recommend trying the other restaurants available on the island. Overall, despite some shortcomings in the staff, a great hotel and experience. Butterfly hotel was was affordable choice in Barbados at the heart of Oistins. It is only a 20min drive from the airport and has access to it's own beach. Here is the bottom line on this hotel: It is on the beach, inexpensive and good quality at a reasonable price. It attempts to be a resort hotel but falls just short. There are kitchenettes with fridge and stove but no microwave - big mistake. The restaurant is rather expensive with a limited menu. The surrounding area has only a Chinese place and a […] bar within walking distance. Taxis are expensive but the bus/maxi service is directly on the same road and inexpensive. However, taking the bus or maxi is confusing and uncomforting to know if you will return or not? The hotel rents cars but most have no doors and are stick shift (on opposite side of car since they drive on other side of road). The location of the hotel is good for beach access and access to Accra beach and Bridgetown. Harrison Cave, Wildlife Reserve and other attractions are well away and will be pretty close to price of hotel to book at hotel as a tour. The room itself was standard - king bed. We had a child with us so we got a roll away bed. Staff was good but our accent led to communication problems with housekeeping. Front desk was good about getting taxis when needed and directions in the area. The hotel is not a cambio and exchanging money in the banks was difficult with many banks refusing unless using US dollars or ATM exchange. The hotel said it was oceanview but like all 15 of the rooms in our section of the hotel complex, one had to go out on the balcony lean over the rail to see the ocean. If you are looking for a large bay window to view the ocean, this hotel is not for you. The place was quiet, there were not too many kids there while we were there but the pool was maintained well. The hot tubs were not heated but bubbling mechanisms worked well. There was no dress code but the hotel did ask that casual dress be used if all possible. It was an upgrade hotel. We were very pleased with our stay at the Butterfly Beach. The room was very nice overlooking the sea and well maintained. The staff was outstanding with their friendliness and helpfulness. On returning to Barbados we would stay here every time. The only thing I would suggest is an ice machine!

I probably would recommend this hotel to my friends and family however I got away from noisy NY hoping to find peace and quite. What I did find was loud banging of room doors until 11pm. Very annoying.! Perhaps the hotel can install some mechanism to slow the doors down as they are closing.

We stayed at Butterfly Beach for 5 nights. The hotel is across the street from a bus stop which is great to use. We took the bus from the airport to the hotel (20 min for $1USD). Hotel restaurant does not have much selection. Breakfast hotel was okay-eggs, sausage, cereal. Our room has an island/garden view. Room looks old and bathroom could use some […] upgrade. Bring your own beach towels and shampoo/toothpaste. There is a stove and fridge in the room along with a tube TV. The beach access is located at the hotel. Pretty views. I was very happy at this hotel. The staff was exceptional- very attentive and they actually made me feel very safe and looked after. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a bus stop right nearby, making it very convenient to hop on a bus either direction and get where you need to go. Beautiful beach side location. Large, clean, comfortable room. I did not like the hotel food, but there were many great restaurants nearby at St. Lawrence Gap ($1 bus ride down the road).

We spent 2 weeks here and overall enjoyed it. It is very well located and it's great that it's on the beach. The rooms are a really good size. The negatives are that we had to wait often for clean towels to be brought to our room, we had to wait hours for beach towels, many of the sunloungers (of which there are not enough) need to be thrown away, there […] are certainly not enough umbrellas. Some of the staff could do with a course in customer service (just a smile occasionally would help), others were great. If you can ignore the irritations, it is a good place and we would actually return. It's just that it could be so much better for not much outlay in my opinion. And they only need to cut down one palm tree and many rooms would then have a much better view of the ocean! The food in the bar is usually good and happy hour is very popular. We returned to Butterfly Beach again this year prior to a cruise from Barbados. It is a very unpretentious place and many of the same people from the UK who were there last year were there this year. The location is good, 10 min from Laurence Gap and in a quiet area (it will be a nightmare to stay in Laurence Gap, this area is super noisy). The hotel is in front of the water, with a beach on each side, and the beaches are nice and relatively quiet. The area is less upscale than the west coast, but the only thing that you will mess are the huge hotels […] and the people trying to sell you stuff, from our point of view the location of the hotel is much better than the commercial area in the west coast. The restaurant has acceptable drinks (but nothing to be too enthusiastic unless you are in happy hour), the food is boring and not really recommendable. There are three open-air jacuzzis, very recommendable for relaxing at the end of the day while drinking a beer. The hotel has a great beach,helpfull staff,phone in my room did not work well,kept cutting out.TV had no instructions couldn't find channels.The sheets had a funny smell as did the towels,didn't feel clean.Thay need new linens and bedspreads!!

Right on the beach. Good value for money. Cheap bus ride to Bridgetown. Helpful and friendly staff.

Although the rates were very affordable, the truth is you get what you pay for. Room was very small and uncomfortable. There were a few bartenders/restaraunt staff that were very nice but the majority of the staff was rude and not helpfull at all. The hotel is right on the beach, but thats about the only thing that the area has to offer.

The best part of the hotel stay was the location to the beach. Nice white sand beach. Make sure to carry along rubber flip flops or slippers for the room. Tile floor that is mopped daily in the mornings and when you leave your room . The prices at the restaurant and bar at the hotel is pretty reasonable compared to prices outside the hotel. We chose this because it was between the airport and the docks. We were pleasantly surprised by the location on the water, the little kitchen and free internet connection. We would happily stay there for longer than the two nights we did. It was quite reasonably priced too. It seems to be handicapped accessible.

Lovely setting, lovely people, very reasonable rates and a great breezy dining room looking out on the Caribbean. Our room was clean and spacious and we had a large private balcony overlooking a lush, tropical garden. Plenty of parking for our rental car.

The hotel has an excellent beach, it's located very close to another of other well known beaches so easily accessible by car. It's also between the Ositins and St. Lawrence Gap famous nighlife areas so location is the big plus. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable but no frills. A good basic hotel - clean, comfortable, and great location. […] Bathroom is the only part not as high end. It's not connected to the airconditioning or faning system, but has window/vents. O Hotel é maravilhoso...fica na beira da praia e a localização é muito boa para quem não irá alugar carro e irá depender de ônibus/vans. Além disso, os quartos são muito limpos, há computador para acesso à internet gratuito e dentro do hotel tem uma pessoa que pode agendar qualquer passeio na ilha sem nenhum custo extra. Bra hotell med pool och nästan egen strand. Barnvänligt! Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Restaurangen har bra lunchmeny men något mer att önska för kvällen. Missa inte fish market i Oistins på fredagar, gångavstånd!

Hotellet ligger perfekt, ikke langt fra fiskemarkedet i Oistins (man kan ikke gå derind om aftenen). Der er stille og roligt og fri parkering (vigtigt), Personalet og omgivelser er i top, prisen taget i betragtning. Venlighed ud over alle grønser. Kan varmt anbefales.

Estive no hotel em outubro de 2011 e a primeira dica é justamente sobre o período que é conhecido como temporada dos furacões, mas Barbados está fora da rota, o que é de conhecimento de poucos. Assim, a procura reduz MUITO e os preços também! Os dias foram todos com muito sol e calor e valeram a pena. O hotel é muito bom, sem luxos, mas limpo, com diversas […] facilidades como aluguel de carro, organização de passeios, boa localização, à beira do mar, numa praia deliciosa pra quem quer um mergulho ou esportes que dependam de vento como vela (fica fora do barulho da agitação a ponto de ser calmo e silencioso, mas perto para deslocar de carro - 10 minutos das duas regiões de maior agito). Em relação a estrutura, a piscina e jacuzzis são excelentes e sempre bem limpas, há apretreços para praia para alugar (material de mergulho, brinquedo para crianças, etc). O pessoal do hotel é muito simpático e disponível, principalmente a Debrah da actvities desk e shop. Os quartos são amplos, bem conservados e equipados, inclusive com uma cozinha que tem todo o básico necessário para se passar uma temporada. L'hotel è proprio sul mare ...anche se devo dire che a Barbados ci sono talmente tante belle spiagge da visitare che diventa NON indispensabile la collocazione dellhotel.E' comunque buono per le volte che non si ha voglia di uscire. L'unica pecca (se proprio la vogliamo trovare) è la poca disponibilità al ceck out ritardato...era alle 12 e anche offrendoci […] di pagare una differenza non siamo riusciti a spostarlo di un ora.La posizione per la sera è leggermente (10 minuti a piedi) fuori mano se non si affitta un'auto o non si prende un mezzo di trasporto.Comunque noi l'avevamo, pertanto punteggio ottimale, camere molto ma molto spaziose (noi avevamo il monolocale), e personale disponibile. We were 9 days in hotel Butterfly in july 2011. The hotel was a positive surprise, as we thought it wouldnt be on the beach (hotels.com map shows there is a distance to the beach). However, the hotel is right on the beach and the beach is actually a very nice, white sand, "private" beach. And if that is too small, there are other beaches just nearby. Hotel […] staff was nice and the hotel has a swimming pool plus 4 swirlpools, where it's nice to relax etc. loads of sunbeds aswell and you are able to move them to the beach. There is a restaurant at the hotel, where they have different menus lunchtime and dinnertime etc. We didnt have breakfast included, so we didnt eat the breakfast at the hotel as it would have been really expensive. I would like to also mention, that there werent really any restaurants nearby, except maybe a few.. and a nice chinese restaurant across the street. Hotel is perfectly situated if you want to enjoy laying in the sun and swimming in the perfect light-blue caribbean sea. But as I said, you need to take a taxi or a bus to get to restaurants or night-life (there is a gentemans club across the street aswell). Oistin's mall is like 1 km away, so you can easily walk there, though. Our hotel room had everything we needed. We bought groseries and made breakfast there ourselves. If you are very sensitive to noise, you might be disturbed by neighbour rooms tv or the sound from the street. There are a lot of things to do in Barbados (cruises, snorkling, adventure trips), and the hotel staff can help you with those. I would recommend this hotel :) Leer más

O hotel é muito agradável e acolhedor. Os quartos são claros e muito espaçosos. Tem uma boa cozinha. Os empregados são simpáticos e prestativos. Boa relação preço/qualidade. O menos favorável é a localização.
