Fue muy acogedor el hotel. Claramente el personal está preparado para atender la demanda que se produce (incluido en invierno). El servicio de SPA es cómodo. El restaurant también es importante mencionar, dado que es muy buena la preparación, pero carece de variedad. El bar es muy apropiado. En general el costo es un poco más elevado de lo que estás dispuesto a pagar por un servicio de este tipo, pero el alojamiento y los alrededores te permiten descazar de forma muy agradable. Nota: Quizás no sea tan importante este comentario, pero las habitacions no tienen buena conexión a internet por el hotspot (es pagado)

Mi familia y yo nos hospedamos del 5 al 15 de julio en este apartahotel. Reservamos el mismo a través de Hoteles.com en esta misma página desde el pasado mes de febrero, aprovechando una oferta. Alquilamos un vehículo en AVIS, para recoger en el aeropuerto el mismo día 5 y dejar en la oficinina de la ciudad de Edimburgo el día 12 de julio. Llegamos al hotel sobre las 18 horas y nos atendieron perfectamente en recepción (no hablan español, pero se esfuerzan por entendernos). Nos cobraron un suplemento diario por el parking, por adelantado. Habíamos reservado un apartamento de 2 habitaciones y nos entregaron una de 3 habitaciones, como atención y sin coste adicional. La reserva la localizaron inmediatamente, sin ningún problema y nos entregaron 2 juegos de llaves (Ios que solicitamos). Al llegar a nuestro apartamento quedamos gratamente sorprendidos con lo que nos encontramos: 3 habitaciones de matrimonio, dos con roperos empotrados de 4 puertas y una con vestidor y baño. Otro baño principal más grande en el pasillo delante de las 3 habitaciones. Una gran cocina completamente equipada de electrodomésticos (placa de gas, horno eléctrico, campana extractora, microondas, lavavajillas, tostador, lavadora-secadora, nevera-congelador de una altura de 2,00 mts aproximadamente) , todo tipo de utencilios de cocina, vajilla supercompleta (vasos, copas, tazas, tazones de desayuno, platos de diferentes tamañes, fuentes de cristal para el horno...) 3 trasteros (en uno de ellos estaba el termo y los cuadros de luz, en otro estaba la tabla de planchar, la plancha y un tendedero y en el último no había nada, estaba completamente vación y era muy cómodo para dejar las maletas) y un gran salón comedor para 6 personas, con un ventanal que daba al canal, con un sillón equinero de piel. Los tres dormitorios compartían una bonita terraza que tenía una mesa y dos sillas. Las cristaleras que dan al canal son abatibles y pueden bloquearse con llave. Hotel con buena situación si tienes que coger un vuelo temprano. El desayuno es muy bueno y creo recordar que el horario es desde las 6 o 6 y media de la mañana, cuando en la mayoría empieza más tarde. La única pega es que está mal señalizado y nos costó mucho encontrarlo, quizás porque era de noche.

clean, modern hotel in a great location for edinburghs royal mile attractions on foot. also within easy walk of train station 15 mins and princes street 20 mins. great value breakfast for £8. situated within the university area.

This was our second time to stay here as we were so impressed the first time. We stayed here for our honeymoon and we were upgraded to a superior room as a result. There was also a present left in the room for us. The hotel is lovely and the staff are helpful and very pleasant. it is situated in a quiet area less than a 10 minute walk from the Royal […] Mile. "House keeping was sub-standard"
The room looked good, but the housekeeping and maintenance were sub-standard. There were sticky rings on the bedside table and it was impossible to close the shower screen, so I could not have a shower in the morning. I was only staying one night, so it was not worth the effort of trying to change my room.

This hotel is clean, modern and eventhough it is centrally located is ever so slightly off the beaten track so isn't noisy at all. I had stayed there a couple of years ago and would definately go back. Highly recommended !

Best characteristic of the hotel is its location. Within easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh and the walk is no bother as the city is lovely from any angle. We recently stayed for a long weekend in Edinburgh at Ten Hill Place. The hotel itself is only 10 minutes walk from the Edinburgh Castle and is located on a main road with lots of shops/restaurants. The only […] downside was an unwanted wake up call at 4am and cleaners entering the room at 8:00am - the staff were very apologetic and it turned out they had checked out another couple under our room.... for our trouble we were given a free breakfast which did make up for the slight inconvenience. Great hotel. Would recommend to anyone! The manager left us a personally written letter and gave us a free upgrade because we mentioned we were on our honeymoon. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was somewhat difficult to find but was well located.

Convenient location given the very reasonable price. Modern rooms with plenty of room including sitting area.....veyr good value IF you book well enough in advance. 5-10 minute stroll to Princes St & castle.
"Nice Hotel"
Generally everything is good about this hotel, the price and the location was fine and within walking distance of the Royal Mile and Arthur's seat. The only issue that I did have with the hotel is that it weirdly had glass doors to the bathroom, whilst this is fine for showers or bath's I did find it very odd when going to the toilet!

Nice, clean, modern hotel, located near the old city center. 5 min walk from flybus. Cosy room w/ bathtub - but a very hard bed! Nice staff. Expensive breakfast - we chose to have breakfast for half the price on a nearby café instead. Extra praise for the fair trade/ecological awareness in the hotell. We defenitely recommend this place.

Our only comment would be that the fabric of the hotel shows signs of wear and tear ie the handle on our bathroom door was loose and difficult to shut and the temperature control knob for the shower could be turned up but not down so we found the water rather too hot (which we did report […] to reception). This hotel was a perfect place to explore Edinburgh. It's so close to everything, yet off a quiet street. The rooms are modern and well insulated. And free internet is greatly appreciated, especially for someone traveling abroad! Overall the room was very comfortable and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Pros: - Good location. Close enough to be a short, pleasant walk to the Royal Mile, but far enough away to be very quiet. - Clean rooms. - Nice staff. - Never ate at the hotel, but the food always smelled and looked good. Cons: - Hotels.com lists Ten HIll Place as having wireless internet. This is not entirely accurate. The cafe has wireless internet. […] The rooms DO NOT have wireless internet. The rooms DO have a wired connection. The wired connection is listed as a high speed internet connection, but I never got above 500 kbps, which to me does not qualify as a high speed connection. - I'm six feet three inches tall, and found the bed to be irritatingly short. The pillows were also incredibly uncomfortable. This probably wouldn't be a big deal on a one or two night stay, but after a week, it did take it's toll. Overall: The price of the hotel makes it a bargain compared with a lot of similar places, and for the average traveller, I think Ten Hill Place would be a great, economical place to stay in Edinburgh. For travellers like me who are expected to be on call even when they're on vacation, the slow internet connection and lack of wireless can be a major drawback. Additional notes for people who do decide to stay at Ten Hill Place: There is a great coffee shop called Black Medicine a couple of blocks north of the Hotel on Bridge Street. Great coffee and pastries, scones, etc... Highly recommeded for a quick breakfast, or a pick-me-up on the way back to the hotel. Leer más

I can't rate this hotel highly enough. It was excellent value, especially as we found that we had been updated to a suite on our arrival! The fifth floor rooms have spectacular views over East Edinburgh and we were able to watch the sun rise over Arthur's Seat in the morning which was very special. The staff were super friendly and efficient, our room […] spotless and the breakfast tasty and plentiful. The hotel is very quietly situated on a square off Nicholson Street and is owned by the Royal College of Surgeons. All profits go back into the Royal College of Surgeons which, personally was also a big plus. There are no leisure facilities at the Hotel but a deal had been negotiated with a nearby hotel for a small fee. We would definitely return. Leer más
"Central, quiet location"
Ten Hill Place in Edinburgh is a wonderful, centrally located hotel situated in a quiet pocket. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on the food. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. As we were suffering from a bit of jetlag, we napped in the afternoon on two occasions, and asked for wake-up calls to ensure that we didn't […] sleep too long (there is no clock radio in the room). While our morning wake-up calls went without a hitch, the late afternoon wake-up calls did not come through. Luckily, we woke up on our own anyway. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Our only complaint would be with the bathrooms. The lighting is very modern, but it is not good bathroom lighting as your face is in shadow, making it hard for my husband to shave and for me to apply make-up. This is a small thing though, and the bigger issue is the bathroom door - it is glass. While it is largely frosted (although there are strips of completely clear glass every 30cm or so), I do not want a glass door on the bathroom. Especially in a hotel room, where everything is close by, more privacy is necessary. On top of this, if you get up in the night turning on the bedroom light floods the sleeping area with light! I don't know who thought that a glass door was a good idea, but it's not. As I said, this is our only complaint. I would stay at Ten Hill Place again, and recommend it to anyone. Leer más

Great service, good hotel, clean nice rooms, great bathroom in the room i stayed. 7-8 min walk from the royal mile. A couple of very nice pubs and cafes close by. The breakfast is optional. I thought it was good but not great. Any cafe nearby will be just as good if not better.

We were visiting Edinburgh to see our son who is studying there so the room was only two minutes from his student residence in Robertson's Close. One of the places we wanted to visit was Surgeon's Hall which was just around the corner. In fact we were surprised to learn the hotel is owned by The Royal College of Surgeons who seem to own most of the […] block. The basin waste was blocked the first time we used it but this was put right quickly and without fuss. The room heating is fully adjustable if a little noisy but as we like a cool room at night we turned it off so no problems there. Didn't try breakfast so can't comment. Staff was friendly and helpful with all our questions about restaurants, bus routes etc. Hotel was well maintained and our room was right on the street but since it was a very quiet street we slept well. I enjoyed 4 nights here with my wife and we loved our room and the location. Hotel room could use a coat of paint but otherwise it was great! the location was perfect and quiet. Relatively large rooms and great bathrooms that even have bathtubs. Ask for a room at the front if you like to see trees out your window. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is situated on a quiet street steps from shops, restaurants, and attractions. The lobby is clean and well appointed, and the desk staff friendly and efficient. "A SPOILT VISIT"
We were in Edinburgh for our son's wedding, staying the Friday night. Check out time was 11 am (which is unusually early for this type of hotel.) We asked for an extension to 1 pm so that we could get changed before going onto the hotel where the wedding was taking place. We were charged an extra £20 (which was reduced from £25 after some discussion […] with the duty manager) to stay the extra two hours. We both travel globally frequently and this is the first time we have been charged unless we have asked to to stay for the entire afternoon to await our flight, It would not cost the hotel anymore to extend our occupancy of the room by two hours we felt that as the room charge was above average; very hard done by and disappointed.
