Limpio, bien situado, muy cómoda habitación, de buen tamaño. La cama muy agradable. Cero ruido a pesar de estar en la entrada de China Town. Será mi selección si vuelvo a SF

Estupenda ubicación, atención, limpieza. Somos una pareja joven recien casada, fue nuestro viaje de luna de miel. Nos encantó!!!

We are a family of three and stayed for 4 days. Two double beds. Room very well appointed, clean and modern. Furniture modern and appropriate. TV excellent. WIFI access free and fast enough. Bathroom very spacious (good put 1 sqm of bathroom back into main room easily), modern and well appointed. Coffee shop/restaurant wasn't well patronised so there […] might be a message there? Very nice staff. No frills hotel, but very comfortable and clean. Great location with a nice diner across the street for breakfast.

Just back from a 3-night stay at the Orchard Garden Hotel in SF. Last time we were there we stayed at the sister hotel, the Orchard, which was also very good. The location is perfect, close to everything but quiet, the room (a junior suite) was big and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice, clean, updated hotel within a quick walk of Union Square. A few doors down from the China Town Wall. Great location. Nice staff.

Small rooms but great location and reasonable service. Concierge not as helpful as expected. Restaurant gas limited hours of operation. Quiet location with well maintained but small rooms

Great hotel, staff was friendly and helpful with directions etc. Perfect location right next to chinatown. Overall a wonderful time.

I read the reviews that the rooms were on the smaller side but they are simply too small for me. We had a king bed that faced a long desk and when my wife was working at the desk, I had to jump onto the bed to get by her. This area near Union Square is very busy, but the hotel is well-insulated against the street noise, which I have found obtrusive in most other hotels nearby. Clean and sleek design. No children allowed. Excellent and cheerful service. Good restaurants within walking distance.

Our hotel stay was wonderful! It would have been perfect if the standard room we stayed in was a bit larger. Other than that it was, nice & clean and the bed oh so comfortable after a long day of walking & sight seeing! I loved the location it was central to so much action and fun!! This hotel was perfect for our week end get-away. It was at the entrance of China Town, walking distance to Union Square with lots of shops on the street on our way there. The hotel its self was very clean and they had our room ready when we arrived at noon. Employees were all very nice, cuteous and helpful. I love this hotel! Very convenient to the downtown area. Very minimalist in their room decor but who is going to be hanging out in their room when they're on holiday in a great city like SFO!? The rooftop patio is amazing! Just take your leftover grog (if there is any) after dinner and enjoy it there! Fitness center is basic but serves its purpose. […] Beds were very comfortable!! Nice hotel, good location for tourists. Would recommend.

We spent our wedding night at Orchard Garden Hotel and were very pleased. They were wonderful about an early check in as we had a wedding to dress for. Ours. They also brought us a special bottle of wine to toast each other. Beautiful. Oh and did I mention the box of decadent chocolates? We will stay there again for sure. This is a good boutique option for downtown. Location is good for both business and vacation travelers. I've stayed here twice. I remember having a good sized room the first time, but that is probably because it was a double. The room with the king was a bit small, but adequate. The couch bed was a mess and bent beyond use. We left it closed as a couch […] and my daughter was luckily able to sleep on it. Room was very quite and window faced Grant street overlooking entrance to Chinatown. Staff was courteous and helpful. Newer hotel. Young owner (who I actually met). Outstanding service. Right at the China Town entrance. Just outstanding.

This hotel is nicely located near Union Square and China Town in a safe neighborhood. Thou advertised as a king suite it was a normal sized room with a couch and a view of an alley. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem occurred when we tried to get our car in the morning. I called 15 minutes ahead of when I needed the car as instructed by […] the bellman the night before. It took 30 minutes for the car to arrive and when it did I was in a panic to get to the airport. My friend and I wheeled the luggage cart out of the lobby towards the car and started to load the car while the bellman, after telling us where to putt he luggage cart, looked on in a daze. I finally had to say to him, "isn't this YOUR job?" it was unbelievable. He seemed to be in a daze. I've never experienced such bad service before. We love boutique hotels and Orchard Garden was no exception! When we arrived, we asked for a room with a view and we were informed that the hotel was very busy and unfortunately there were no rooms with a view available. We received our keys and went up to our room only to discover that housekeeping had not finished cleaning it yet. We went back down […] to the front desk and Joy immediately fixed the problem. We ended up with a room on the same floor, but that faced the street so we had a bit of a view. They also gave us a box of complimentary chocolate truffles and a $10 gift card to the minibar to make amends. We were personally escorted to our room by a lovely gentleman (I believe his name was Eric), who explained all the green and eco-friendly aspects of the hotel. What a nice touch! Had stayed in this location before and loved it. Walking distance to all the places at Union Square and right next to the gateway of China town and along the av of the French district. The Hotel is very fresh and clean. The staff and management were delightful and we felt very welcomed here. We definately would return our visit to this property

The hotel is well designed and on the right track. However, there were two glaring issues I found that need room for improvement. The first was shower pressure. It seemed to run in and out, would drop off out of nowhere and then come back. Temperature remained consistent though. The second, was housekeeping. Trash in the form of empty coffee cups […] and bottles from the minibar were not thrown away. Things were not tidied up on the counter. Clothes were not folded or put into piles. The cleanliness factor was fine. Beds were always made, towels folded in the bathroom, but nothing left out was organized. One other thing - I asked that they take the basket of minibar food left in my room away and it took 2 requests to do so. On the plus side, everyone seemed pleasant enough and were helpful with getting us cabs when we needed them. Leer más

Rooms are small but great value and very close to China Town and Union Square. I have stayed there twice...great experience both times. The staff are very nice and very helpful.

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in SF and this one is at the top of the list. Quiet is a premium in the city and this hotel is QUIET and yet, in the heart of the city. It's also simple and yet lovely.

Attentive staff, perfect location away from the noise of Union Square, walking distance to most places you want to go! Immaculately clean, well appointed rooms, perfect a/c. A great stay.

Hotel was very modern, clean and comfortable, and good location. If that is all you need you won't go wrong here. Room was small, but bathroom larger. It was almost too quiet and lacked the excitement of larger hotels. If walking is an issue, you can easily get to your room without a long walk as it is a small hotel - fully accessible, it seems. We […] had no view what-so-ever and the morning sun beat into the window in the morning, so that the air stayed on a lot. Maybe a street view room wouldn't have changed the atmosphere. Leer más

It was our 13th years wedding anniversary so we decided to go to the city, we had an amazing time. We were very impressed of this hotel very clean, so convenient and also walking distance to Union Square and other known nearby streets, hotel staff were very helpful, we would definitely want to go back.

Great hotel, and right in the middle of everything! Bed especially comfortable and my husband and I are extremely picky about beds; Eco-friendly which added to a very nice stay.

The wife and I have never stayed at an eco-friendly hotel so we were a little worried when we first checked in. The accommodations were incredible and the room was very nice. We did have a issues, mostly to do with the surrounding area. The view from the room wasn't great because we were staring into the neighboring alley. Parking in this area is terrible […] at best. I was told that all the hotels in the area share a parking garage and if you choose valet then expect to pay ~$46 a day to do so. Alternately you can park on the street or self park in the public garage up the street for about $30 a day.This should be figured into your travel plans because if you stay for more than a few days parking can get really expensive. Also like most hotels expect to pay a premium for everything in the room. Even the first-aid kit had a price tag on it. The hotel is very closely located to MANY attractions nearby so if you are planning on staying for awhile you are better off "cabbing" it everywhere or walking. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely stay in this area again. On a final note since it is an eco hotel run your hot water for a bit when you first get up to the room as it will take awhile to get up to bathe-able temperatures. Leer más

I live in SF but booked this hotel for when my mother & sister came to visit. It's 7 blocks from my apartment, but I ended up staying there most of the nights with them anyway. The hotel was super accommodating -- my mom got in much earlier than she had planned to and they not only let her check in 5 hours early BUT they also UPGRADED her room (for […] no charge)!! The rooms were clean and the hotel is a green hotel, which is really cool (& pretty typical for SF but I'm sure not nearly as many hotels are really up on it). They didn't have compost bins in the rooms though, which I thought was odd. One of the coolest features is how they control the electricity. When you enter the room, you have to put your room key in a holder (for lack of a better term) next to the front door to turn the lights and AC/heat on. Not only does this help cut out unnecessary use of those things, but it also reminds you to grab your key before you leave! (FYI, once the key is in, you can manually control the lights and AC too). Mom thought the beds were very comfortable, I thought they were fine. No complaints but nothing amazing. The room was a little small (2 double beds) but was fine for us. Location wise, you're on the border of Chinatown, Union Square, Nob Hill, and the Financial District. It is close to lots of major MUNI routes (bus, train, trolley) and it's easy to get everywhere from here which is always really nice when you're visiting. I wasn't around for checkout but I assume it was a breeze and they even got my family a town car for the same price as a cab to the airport, which they were grateful for. Staff was friendly, restaurant/bar area looked nice but we didn't spend any time there. Bathroom had a really cool sliding door but no lock ... odd. Overall, it was the perfect place for them to stay and I would recommend it to anyone coming to visit this incredible city by the bay. Leer más
