Efectivamente como otros viajeros comentaron el hotel es limpio , esta remodelado, los baños son buenos, es ruidoso por el bar que esta en el primer piso y que es el lugar donde sirven el desayuno , que es abundante ( no como decian otro), pero el lugar y el hotel en general es muy oscuro y deprimente ( por los edificios de alrededor supongo).Creo que […] el precio es alto para lo que es, cuando u no va a Nueva York, lo unico que espera es que la habitacion sea limpia ,lo mismo que el baño, y tener un buen descanso, respecto al barrio que de seguridad para llegar en la noche esto no ocurre en el Wingate manhattan, por lo menos para nosotros.El personal del desk , los hombres muy amables hablaban español , pero las srtas en general poco amables,tremendamente gritonas ( aunque es una caracteristicas de las norteamericanas y de color).El lugar de desayuno atendido muy bien , muy amables reponian todo, cerraban a la hora indicada, pero por lo oscuro parecia sucio.Con mi esposo no iriamos otra vez, porque por el mismo precio a traves de la pagina de hoteles .com encontrabamos mucho mejores hoteles, esta pagina la ocupamos bastante y primera vez que nos equivocamos tanto.Gracias por su preocupacion y esperamos que esta critica le sirva a otros viajeros.Nueva York la repetiremos pero sin duda no en este hotel. The location of the hotel was great. Within walking distance of Madison Square Garden as well as the massive Macy's on Broadway. The room was cozy although really chilly. We had the thermostat on 78. Parking was really expensive. They do not mention there is no parking and you can park your car in a garage a block away. Parking is $35 per day plus  […] tax. Leer más

Clean, safe, convenient, affordable, and very friendly staff. Small fitness center, but great to have nonetheless. Perfect for the business traveler who needs to get in/out of the city with no hassle.

Pleasantly surprised with cleanliness and breakfast which included hot choices. Staff was helpfull. Only drawback was that you could hear the street noises such as garbage truck on some mornings. Location was great...only a few blocks from Times Square! Overall ...great price for location!

Very happy with the Wingate. We had a room on the 10th floor and it was very quiet. We had no view but that was not important. We ate breakfast around 9:00 am every morning and it was very crowded but a good way to start your day. Our biggest mistake was to drive to the front of the hotel to pick up our bags at the end of our stay - a short trip around […] the block took about 30 minutes - should have dragged our bags down to the parking lot and left from there. Great service, comfy, quiet room and perfect location!

My family of four stayed at the Wingate by Wyndham in Manhattan and we highly recommend it. It is brilliantly located a short walk from Macy's, the Empire State Building and Penn Station and It's an easy walk to Times Square. This was another nice Wingate hotel, very very conveniently located on Fashion Avenue (7th Ave). The staff was ready to handle questions and requests, but the location really sold the place. There is a nice bar/restaurant attached that I didn't take advantage of. Hotels.com gave a much cheaper price than directly through the hotel!

Nice size rooms w/king. New decor, granite bath, etc. Excellent location. One block to Macy's, Penn Station. Only 10 minute walk to Time Sq.

My friend and I decided to stay here on a whim.. we got a wonderful rate and really liked how close the hotel appeared to be to Penn Station. We LOVED it. From the free wi-fi (in room) to the free continental breakfast (which had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.), to the location (walk around the block to Penn Station/subway […] and Macy's).. it was exactly what we were looking for. This is a VERY comfortable hotel. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the only missing convenience was a bathrobe. Despite the double pane windows, you could hear some street noise and some noisy people on the streets, but this is hardly the hotel's fault.. it's New York! (The hotel is on 35th street: busy on weekdays but rather deserted […] weekends and nights). The noise was NOT out of line for NY, though sensitive sleepers might want to go to a luxury hotel. The neighborhood is not NYC's finest..a bit downscale, but not dangerous. Very close to the best camera shops. Penn Station is a block away, so you can walk your luggage (though crowds) to the hotel if you take the air train and Long Is RR from Kennedy. A short walk from Broadway, and every shop (EG drugstore) you could need near Penn Station. Half block from Macy's. Excellent bus and subway access. A 10 dollar cab ride can get you most places, and cabs are everywhere. 10 minutes from Broadway. You can stay in nicer neighborhoods, but not for this price.. and nothing is more convenient. My only complaint: I had some trouble working the modern thermostat, but then I never asked for directions. (My bad). I'd stay here again anytime. This is an excellent hotel. Very nice, modern room. Very good size room for staying in New York City. Bathroom very large. Bed's, comforters & pillows so so comfortable. Includes microwave & fridge. Great location, right in the shopping area, close to empire state building and close to Times Square (.06 mile). Staff so so nice. Finding hotels in NYC is such a pain - it's never reasonably priced..or conveniently located. This small hotel tucked in W. midtown worked perfect for us. The room is spacious in NYC standards. Note that this hotel is not a luxury hotel, but it works. The only amenity that failed on me was the lack of iPod/iPhone dock. Very friendly staff. I stayed for one night and needed to catch a flight at EWR. The hotel is very near to Penn Station thus it's super convenient if you want to catch the NJ Transit to EWR. They won't allow late check out though...

My stay at the Wingate by Wyndham was excellent. The room was very well kept, the staff was very attentive and professional, and the location of the hotel was very convenient to an array of stores for shopping. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Location is great-- very central to everything. Rooms are modern and clean; front desk staff is nice and helpful. Overall a great value for NYC and midtown.

People were helpful. Close to Time Square..Cleaning people had to be told to leave a extra glass and then it was a cheap plastic glass..Did not put bedspread on the bed after the first day.. Cleaning people could of taken more care. Lobby staff very helpful.

Our recent stay at the Wingate Inn was perfect. We got to the hotel early, so our room was not ready for check in, and they stored our luggage for free. However, upon check out, they required a $5 fee per luggage item to store the bags. That is the only down side I found. Everything else was fine. Overall, a great experience.

I was thoroughly happy with this hotel from the start to the finish. It was clean centrilised to all the tourist attractionns,it had a great friendly atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and a quality resturant with fantastic food and service. I would recommend it for sure.

Very convenient to subways stations (35th Penn St). Heaps of dining options close by. 10 minute walk to Times Square. Hotel is about 18 stories high. No views. Fairly quiet area, noisiest thing is the air-conditioner (sounds like a truck). Hotel rooms are fairly small (ours had 2 doubles). The free wi-fi and breakfast was great. Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly. I found the rooms to be clean and furniture arrangements very nice. The hotel is near everything we enjoyed doing, eg, shopping, people watching, eating etc. I would certainley come back as the price was good and that was important to us Thank you

For NYC a good hotel in a good location. Room was spacious w/ all the amenities. Free breakfast was GOOD and rich. Free Internet comes in handy. Location (between 7th and 8th Ave @ W 35th) is very convenient (just near ESB, MSG and Penn Station).

Right near Madison Square Garden, the hotel is convenient to the subway/Penn Station. It's a bustling hotel with a lot of patrons, so if you're looking for a intimate getaway, this isn't the hotel for you. It is, however a place with a clean bed and bathroom, and it was quiet the nights we spent there.

Both the hotel and the room was very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent! The staff was very friendly and accomodating. I plan to stay there again on my next trip to the city. Also- BEST Mojitos in town!!!!

The hotel is in a perfect location. Easy access to everything. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. Breakfast is included which was a huge plus. My sister and I stayed here overnight during a museum-and-musical trip to NYC. It's only 2 blocks from Penn Station and 5-6 from the theater district, Times Square, and restaurant row--easy walking distance. Stayed here for a romantic weekend in the city. Our room was neat and clean. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Conveniently located not far from Penn Station and a quick walk to Times Square. Would definitely stay here again.

The best hotel ever!!! I loved my stay at this hotel. This is a brand new hotel. The room was confortable and relatively big to be a hotel in NYC. Don't bother so much for free breakfast (not reallyh anything different than what you get any other hotel) and there are places right a around the corner for cheap. The location is just ok for the price , also considering that the room comes with a fridge and micro (not kitchenette at all) free breakfast is also a plus. The room smells when we first got in, we call housekeeping and it turns out it's coming from the bathroom ( a very disgusting odor ), someone came and clean it and the smell got a little better […] but it's still there. The front desk clerk specially the women has an attitude problem...we're just asking for direction since we're new at the area and it seems like they are getting upset, the other lady even rolled her eyes...like we are so stupid. We really enjoyed our stay in NYC although to be honest we spent very little time in our hotell room as we were up and about early each morning and rarely returned before midnight. the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. the bathroon was spacious and the shower provided plenty of hot water. we had a room facing 35 the Street which was a […] bit of a problem as they were doing concrete cutting outside for the first 2 nights until at least 3am which distubed our sleep! the location, however, was ideal for all sorts of sight seeing, and we would be happy to base ourselves there again. I travel to NY often and usually stay on the UWS or in Midtown/Times Square. This hotel was a total gem to find. Convenient to Midtown but out of the fray, close to public transportation, to plenty of stores on 8th Ave, to Macy's. The street itself is just so-so, but you can't beat the convenience. I had a group stay here and we used four rooms for two nights. Staff was friendly and welcoming, breakfast was good, bar onsite a plus. Workout room was small but gets the job done. Good choice for a hotel in manhattan. The rooms were a decent size and clean. Overall, we had a great experience. I had requested adjoining rooms when making the reservation (2 months in advance), but we ended up on 3 different floors because the hotel was "sold out."
