The smallest room we have ever seen. You could only reach the bed from one side and that they called a double room. And the window was in the bottom of a yard big as the the bed whith hardly any light at all but a lot of dirt. You could hear the subway just under the hotel. They want you to pay an extra 20 pound just i case !! And asked us to pay for a lunch we hadn´t eat. But the hotel is very close to two underground stations central and circle lines and it is newly renovated and clean.

The hotel was clean and well situated. The room was elegant though small. The staff were pleasant. Here's why I wouldn't recommend it: Our room had a window that opened onto a ventilation shaft with another wall about three feet away. In this wall, directly facing our window, was an enormous, loud fan. So you really couldn't open the window for fresh air without being assaulted by the noise of said fan. When we complained, they could only give us a much smaller room, in which two people could hardly turn around or be out of bed at the same time. Actually, we could hardly both be in bed at the same time as the bed in the new room was a smallish "full." So what should have been a lovely three day treat in a nice hotel was disappointing, and they would not give us a refund to make up for the difference in the room size. We won't be going there again.

Room a bit small, even for Europe; but overall a nice place, good / convenient location, free Wi-Fi worked well.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and we knew from the previous review that the room is small. However considered the room is modern and clean and the location is great (just a few mins to both Bayswater and Queensway tube station), the staff is also friendly. With the discount that we've got from internet, it's a great hotel that we will come back next time.

After reading through hundreds of feedback on several hotels, we took a chance on this hotel and were VERY glad we did! It was clean and the location was PERFECT. There is an excellent breakfast/sandwich shop nearby, 2 tube stations (1 blk for the Green/Yellow line and 2 blks for the red line). Hyde Park was only a block away - everything was very convenient and the hotel staff was very helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Arrived at 12 noon and had to wait two hours for the room after traveling all the way from San Francisco. The room I got was tiny...six feet wide by maybe ten feet long. It was modern and clean. Closet-sized bathroom, but well appointed and clean. Adequate ventilation and quiet.

A clean and comfortable hotel in a very good location (minutes from Hyde Park and very close to two underground stations).

Hotel was in a great area with access to 2 tube stations and 1 block from Hyde Park. I would stay here again!

From other reviews of this hotel, it was exactly as I expected. Yes, the room was small, but it was plenty of room for me (I had the single room). I could keep my suitcase on the stand out of the way at the end of the bed, the wardrobe was plenty big enough, with three shelves, the bathroom had plenty of room with space for my toiletries, the shower was perfect. Yes, I could hear hotel noise in my room, as it was right behind the front desk, which did not have carpeting, so I could hear the attendant walking, and doors opening and closing, and the room was across the hall from the Club Room and a staff closet. Altough I couldn't recommend this room, I would stay in it again as I live in an apartment building that can get noisy, so I felt right at home. I even enjoyed hearing the train run underground. I never heard any noise from the room next to me, though, so that makes me think that the rooms farther back would be quieter, so I would recommend the hotel in general.

This hotel is located in a great multi-cultural neighborhood. The hotel staff was very receptive to requests for service and able to provide useful information. The hotel is located within a city block of both the Queensway and Bayswater tube stations. The neighborhood restaurants are plentiful and of every ethnic type you might imagine (Italian, Greek, Persian, Chinese, French). We would enjoy staying at this hotel again, in the near future.

On arrival we were told that the hotel had no water because of mains work being undertaken in the area and so our booking had been transferred to a sister hotel. We were transferred by car. The hotel standard and decor were fine, but the room was tiny. They gave us complementary breakfast.

The location of the hotel is amazing and cannot be beat. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood only a block and a half from Hyde Park/Kennsington Gardens and a block from the Tube, you are always close to wherever you want to go. The service was very good and the room was apportioned very well with coving and woodwork which added to the elegant furnishings. Although the room was small, as almost all hotel rooms in Europe are, it was very comfortable and I will definately stay there again.

I didn't think it was possible to have such a small hotel room. I could touch the two side walls! Honestly, I bet the room was 5' X 8'. I couldn't even walk through the door with my luggage. The furnishings were nice but the room was not cleaned very well. The hotel service was poor. I almost missed a flight because they failed to give me the wake-up call that I requested. But...it was a great location near Hyde Park, easy tube access, a lot of shops and restaurants nearby.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday and having stayed in 4* hotels before we were both very much of the opinion that this should not have been in the 4* rating! The room was TINY!!! We could not open the door to the room with out first closing the bathroom door! floor space was miniscule, it was almost impossible to stand on the floor once both our bags were in! As for the bathroom - you could almost sit on the toilet, have a shower and brush your teeth all at the same time! The only saving grace for us was that it was only a minute walk from the tube station!

Very shabby outside, unknowledgeable staff offered to get car service to Paddington but questioning revealed to be 2x taxi fare

Very comfortable hotel. One block away from stations for the Circle, District and Central lines. I recommend an Oyster Card for ease of travel around the city. Lots of places to eat near by.

The location of the hotel is good with some modern decor in the rooms. The main problem for me was the size of the room. Our deluxe double room for me was the equivalent of a single room for a "very small" person. Shower space etc was also the same. Would not recommend this hotel.

Great location. Cosy room and ideal for short stay. One down-side is that it gets quite noisy in the morning when your neighbours shut their door or hotel staff do clean-up in adjacent rooms.

This hotel is well situated being very close to Bayswater and Queensway stations. The hotel is clean and reasonably comfortable. Clean sheets and towels every day. Free internet service is great but the hotel lacks a bar. Also my room was on the ground floor and while clean it was small and I could hear the rumbling of the underground trains every few minutes. The staff ery friendly, the situation great but the noise of the trains and lack of a bar to drown my sorrows put me off!

This hotel was brilliant, for the price I paid I wasnt expecting much, but I was extremely impressed and would definatley go back if I was in the area again. The only down side to this hotel was the room size. They are on the small size, but if your not bothered about that and just want a place to sleep, I recommend this hotel. There are two tube stations right by the hotel, one on the circle line, and the other on the central line.

Well located, nicely refurbished, good service but DON'T BOOK A SINGLE ROOM!!! I have stayed in this hotel twice, booking a single room on both occasions. The first time I thought the room was small - to use the computer I had to first find somewhere to put the tea tray, then there was not enough room to pull out the stool to sit at the table. But I coped. The second time the room was even smaller. The single bed had less than 500mm (18 inches) between it and the wall, and it was hard up against the other wall. The LCD TV was wall mounted - but couldn't be watched as the only place to sit was on the bed, and the angle of vision meant the picture was distorted. To give them some credit, when I asked the staff about an upgrade they were able to put me in a double room on the second night of the stay. Apparently the room I was in on my first stay was larger than the rest of the singles....

The hotel is located and a great spot just a block away from the tube stations. There were many restaurants just one block away. The hotel itself was very neat and clean. The room was very well updated with everything you need or want. Just ask the front desk for power adaptors and they are more than willing to loan them out. We will be staying there.

We stayed at the Shaftesbury Hyde Park International for 9 days. We stayed in a Twin Deluxe which was very nice with plenty of space for 2. It is in a great location just a block away from Hyde Park and steps away from the Bayswater Tube station. Which is good and bad. The good is obvious, the tube is close by. The bad is that the tube runs right under the hotel so you can hear it. For us it didn't matter we can sleep with noise, but light sleepers might have trouble. The hotel staff were all very nice, but most did not speak the best English and so communication was difficult at times. Another downside is the hotel charges you for all phone calls made from the room even if they are local and you use a calling card. Another plus was on the next street over there were loads of restaurants and shopping places. I would happily stay in this hotel again, it was very nice.

Lovely people, very helpful - room very small but clean and had everything you need

Vores hotelværelse var kæmpe stort - en enorm dobbeltseng, lækkert og stort badeværelse og masser af plads over det hele. Der var stikkontakter på badeværelset, hvor vi kunne bruge vores egne stik fra f.eks. mobiloplader og glattejern. Hotellet ligger ca. 50 meter fra nærmeste undergrundsstation, så det kunne nærmest ikke blive nemmere at bevæge sig rundt i hele London. Den sidste dag, fik vi lov til at opbevare vores kufferter på hotellet, indtil vi skulle flyve hjem, senere på aftenen. Alt i alt en super dejlig og positiv oplevelse - kunne sagtens finde på at vælge det samme hotel igen.

Vi hade bokat ett twin/dubbel rum, och fick ett dubbelrum som var snyggt och väl inrett och rent, men väldigt väldigt litet. Jag kommer trots storleken att välja detta hotell igen, då läget är perfekt .

Velplaceret roligt og stille hotel med god værelseskomfort.

Hvis du ønsker å bo på et hotell hvor du kan sove om natten velger du ikke dette hotellet. Nærmeste nabo er et svært rimelig overnattingssted. Under vårt opphold var gjestene tyske skoleelever som oppholdt seg utenfor hotellet mesteparten av natten, noe som innebar hyling og roping. I tillegg var det mye trafikkstøy.

Vi ble meget overrasket over hvor bra hotellet var, og hvor grei beliggenhet hotellet hadde i forhold til undergrunnstasjonen. Dette hotellet anbefalesw gjerne.

Hyggelig hotell med bra standard. Rommene inneholder det meste, men er utrolig små. Bra frokost. Kun to minutters gange fra undergrunnen. Stille og rolig. Kan anbefales dersom du er forberedt på liten plass.

Deluxe enkeltrom, var et kvistværelse med kun en seng. Her måtte man ut for å skifte mening. Ikke mye deluxe over det rommet.

Lidt dyrt men et rigtig godt hotel

Vi bodde på "standard dobbelrom" som viste seg å være så lite var så lite at vi måtte avtale slik at den ene pustet ut når den andre pustet inn. Bagasjen måttte settes på badet for at det skulle være mulig å bevege seg i rommet. Mye mer for pengene på andre hoteller i samme strøk. Ufattelig at hotellet har tre stjerner.

Små rom. Blid imøtekommende betjening som ikke nødvendigvis sørger for at beskjeder gitt blir effektuert.

Die Lage ist sehr gut und zentral, allerdings tummeln sich hier lauter Touristen. Zimmer klein, aber fein - nur etwas dunkel (Fenster zur Wand). Für Londoner Verhältnisse aber mehr als in Ordnung. Wir nutzten ein Sonderangebot, deshalb würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.

Utrolig sur resepsjonist som gjorde at jeg egentlig ville snudd i døren hvis jeg ikke alt hadde betalt. Så innom nabohotellet som tilbød rom for 1/3 av prisen. Neste gang tar jeg heller det. Der får man valutta for pengene. På dette hotellet fikk man det IKKE!

Il quartiere è vivace e cosmopolita, pieno di ristorantini ma la posizione dell'hotel è molto tranquilla. Inoltre si trova vicinissimo alle due comodissime fermate feramte della metro.Potete andare a portobello's road a piedi.

Rummet var otroligt litet. Det fanns ingen stol att sitta på, knappast någonstans att lägga kläder och annat. Man kan inte ha mer än en kappsäck på rummet.

Dejligt rent og pænt hotel. Høfligt og venligt personale. Fint værelse MEN utrolig småt (bak ind & gå forlæns ud). Vær opmærksom på at nogle værelser kun har 3/4 senge ! PERFEKT placering - 1. minut fra Bayswater Undergrund som vi brugte rigtig meget (ingen omvej at smide købte ting af på hotellet inden turen gik videre). Dejligt sted - vi kommer tilbage

Rommet var veldig fint og reint. Badet ypperlig. Men rommet var svært lite. Greit nok for eit par døgn, men over tid (4 døgn) i meste laget. Ikkje ein stol ell. sofa å sitte i. Måtte tilbringe tida på rommet i senga og det var ikkje noko særleg. Men alt i alt eit fint opphold.

Hotellet var nydelig, lyst og fint, rommet var kjempefint!

Dette hotellet hadde jeg litt forventninger til før reisen, da det er et 4 stjerners hotell som ligger rett ved Hyde Park, og ikke langt til Bayswater og Queensway T-bane stasjon, det skal sies at det var også de eneste fordelene med hotellet. Hotellets lobby har en helt annen profil enn hotellet generelt, rommet vi fikk var utrolig lite i forhold til en normal standard og i tilleg var det så og si ikke rengjort, dette kunne man klage på men det hjalp lite, da man måtte vente til neste dag for å få det fikset. Det mest ille var at de valgte å låse seg inn å rydde rommet da jeg hadde hengt ut skilt for ikke å rengjøre rommet, hadde masse private ting av verdi liggende ute og var en tur på butikken da vi kom tilbake og de hadde ryddet i alt og vært på rommet. Dette stiller de seg også uforstående til. Jeg anbefaler på det sterkeste ikke dette hotellet da det fins så utrolig mange andre så og si helt identiske hoteller i London som er mye bedre, bare rundt dette hotellet lå det 2 andre hoteller hvor det var vesentlig flere besøkende enn på dette vi var.

Hotellet er i god stand. Fine og rene rom, god service.

Meget sentral beliggenhet, rett ved Bayswater stasjon. Vi hadde rom inn mot bakgård som gjorde at det var lite støy.
