La unica mala experiencia que tuvimos fue con las hormigas dentro de la habitacion, incluso dentro de las maletas. El desayuno es normal.El resto muy bien, servicio genial, buen restaurante.Internet solo hay en recepcion (dos ordenadores), y en el restaurante, a las habitaciones no llega wifi.

Gran eleccion para visitar la zona del volcan Arenal. Calidad-precio inmejorable. Habitaciones muy grandes y cómodas con jardin propio y doble cama matrimonial. Desayuno buffet correcto, con bastante variedad. Piscina con jacuzzi, no muy grande pero muy vacía. WiFi gratis en zonas comunes, no en las habitaciones. Parking privado gratis en el propio […] hotel. A 7km. del centro de la Fortuna y a 10min. del parque nacional del Volcan Arenal. Volveria sin duda a este hotel en mi próxima visita a Arenal. Si prevéis viajar en coche desde San Jose pasando por San Ramon hacedlo de día, ya que de noche cae una niebla bastante espesa y a nosotros nos costó más de 3 horas hacer el recorrido. Leer más

Ventaja. El hotel se encuentra en un entorno impresionante, rodeado de jardines y selva, justo de camino a la laguna y el Parque Nacional del volcán. Inconveniente: El hotel está a unos 3 km del pueblo. El trato del personal es muy correcto. La comida es nefasta, pero el desayuno merece la pena por su entorno y vistas. Los jardines son espectaculares. […] Las habitaciones son amplias y muy tranquilas, dependiendo del vecino que te toque, ya que el aislamiento acústico entre las habitaciones es prácticamente nulo. En medio de la estación lluviosa en Costa Rica, mitad suerte y mitad promoción de temporada, tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el Magnífico Hotel Volcano Lodge & Gardens, ubicado a tan solo 7 kilómetros del Centro de la Fortuna en San Carlos. Desde el momento de la recepción hasta el momento en que dejamos el Hotel para partir a San José, vivimos una […] de las mejores experiencias en los últimos viajes, que por cierto han sido muchos en esa zona turística. No me atrevo a hacer comparaciones con otros hoteles cada uno tiene lo que los ticos llamamos un toque especial. Este por ejemplo nos permitió disfrutar del trato amable de todos y cada uno de los colaboradores, de los bellos jardines, las magníficas habitaciones y por si fuera poco un área libre de nicotina. Del restaurante ni se diga, felicitaciones al Chef, que logra dejar parte de su inspiración en cada uno de los platillos que degustamos. Muy bonito el Hotel, cumplió nuestras expectativas de descanso, tranquilidad y belleza natural que buscabamos, desde la persona que nos atendió en la caseta de seguridad hasta el trato en el restaurante fué excelente.

Excelente trato en el front desk y el staff. Muy cómodo y cerca a La Fortuna. Punto bajo fue que me ofrecieron servicio de comida hasta la 10pm cuando en realidad cierran la cocina a las 9.30pm. Nunca vayan a comer a Benedictus (que está cerca), hay mucho mejores lugares en la región que esa soda de comida típica que le llaman restaurante.

Un verdadero lodge. Simpatia de los empleados. Buenas habitaciones, no luxuosas mas muy buenas e bueno restaurante.

Recomiendo este hotel a todas las personas que les guste la naturaleza, muy romantico, tiene jardines muy bien cuidados y un sendero muy tranquilo alrededor de la propiedad, el personal muy amigable. Las albercar y jacuzzis con buena vista al volcan. Muy Limpio.

Cumple con las expectativas, es limpio, completo, el restaurant Sura es excelente, la comida muy buena. Las piscinas agradables, los jardines impresionantemente bellos. Hola la verdad es un excelente hotel no caro y muy limpio y la comida muy buena saludos desde Toronto Canada mi esposa quiere ir otra vez gracias.

El mejor hotel de que hemos estado en Costa Rica, el servicio muy bueno. La habitación espectacular cuidando mucho los detalles. Con parking en la puesta de la habitación. Recomiendo ir en coche por comodidad. Las vistas al volcán increíbles, desde la cama. Great facility, beautiful grounds, great staff. Greatly exceeded our expectations.

I've stayed at 3 different hotels in the same price range in La Fortuna and I this was my favorite one. Keep up the good work. Food wass decent, nothing great though.

after staying in hotel el silencio, we stayed one night at Volcano Lodge and we really enjoyed it. Nice view, beautiful plantations and flora, nice pool and jacuzzi and finally we have enjoyed an open buffet dinner with a reasonable price. they even prepared to go breakfast fro us because we checked out very early in the morning.

We originally hoped for a different place but where more then happy to stay at this hotel. The people the gardens the location was just great. The rooms to pick are 309,310,311, 312 which have a direct view of the Volcano. The evening buffet was outstanding.

Yes, the rooms are large and clean with a tv, and they serve a good breakfast buffet, but that's about where most of the perks end. While it's well maintained, I just couldn't help but feel that the rooms were so dated. And the bugs. Yes, it's tropical, but we were fending off bugs in our room all night, and it didn't help that the door that leads to […] your back porch (which isn't private by the way) doesn't close unless it's locked. So if you want to enjoy your back porch, your door remains open letting even more bugs in. Service at check in was fair. Even though we had our own car, they insisted that we wait for a bell hop to show us to our room and how to use things in there. We had to wait 20 minutes for a bell hop, which was completely unnecessary since we didn't want or need one to begin with. Location is a bit remote from La Fortuna, so might be problematic if you don't have a car or don't want to hire a taxi all the time. Wifi never worked. At the front desk or the restaurant. You can tap into the restaurants Wifi, but otherwise the hotels' never worked. Basically, would rate higher if the hotel was half the price. The quality for what we paid was definitely not worth it. 2 Negatives about this hotel: 1) Maids clean the rooms with the door staying wide open. Outcome: we were killing mosquitos the size of Texas for our 4 day stay. Great surroundings, awesome garden, delicious food, nice all around. No issues whatsoever, the entire staff just want to ensure you have a good time. Very helpful about attractions in the area (with or witHout guides)

It is a very relaxing place with beautiful tropical plants and garden surrounding the lodges. Each room has its own outdoor sitting area facing the volcano. You could easily see a humming bird flying around the flowers everywhere in the lodge. But what surprises us the most is its restaurant-Sura. It has a fanstatic kitchen; food are creative and delicious […] yet at reasonable price. We ate there three meals a day for three days and the restaurant never failed to surprise us. My husband and I stayed at the Volcano Lodge for 1 night after spending 2 nights at El Silencio del Campo. The room was clean and comfortable and had a little porch with 2 chairs and a table with an amazing, direct view of the volcano. It was the best volcano view that we experienced on our trip. The view was of the black side of the volcano where lava […] has spilled. The walls of the hotel are a little thin as we could hear our neighbors. Breakfast is included in the room rate and was simple but tasty. Staff is friendly. There is very little lighting where the jacuzzi is, which we loved because all we saw while sitting in the jacuzzi was darkness and a star-filled sky. Living in a city surrounded by high-rise buildings, we really enjoyed and appreciated that. We prefer El Silencio del Campo b/c we like that the rooms are set up as private casitas, but we were happy with our stay at Volcano Lodge since it gave us a better view of the volcano and it was a great value. The positives: great location (only a couple kilometers from the various thermal springs, and maybe 10 km from Arenal National Park), good view of volcano (when it's not shrouded by clouds and fog), superb all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at no extra charge, decent pool and jacuzzi, free wifi in the pool/restaurant area (and a couple computers available […] at reception for general use if you don't have your own), beautiful grounds, nice bungalow-style detached rooms, good service. The negatives: thin walls, (though you generally only have one or two neighboring rooms), rooms are pretty small, our safe stopped working at one point (needed new batteries?) and we had to call for help. Great hotel with great view of the Volcano. Price was very decent and the buffet breakfast was fantastic. Staff couldn't be any friendlier and helpful. I loved this place so much we've decided to extend the stay one more night. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

we stayed 2 nights and enjoyed our stay: the staff was very helpful there is a wifi in the bar and the lobby plus 2 computers for guests the volcano view is fantastic the breakfast was very good and copious: real american breafast with local fruits and smoothies the location is perfect for hiking around the volcano the garden and pool bar are beautiful […] and very well maintained. It was everything you expect from a Resort. The only bad thing was that you need to go to the Lobby or the Restaurant to have Wi-fi. For a top-end resort of this kind, I would like to have wi-fi in rooms. The rest was ok. I recommend you to rent a car with adobe rent a car, or you'll spend a lot of money in taxis (as the hotel is 5km from town)

Our room was pretty big with a king size bed and a new and clean bathroom. We had a huge window facing the volcano with a terrace. The service at the hotel is very good. The only but that I found is that the restaurant where you have breakfast is open and it is not comfortable because of the insects. Appart of that, I would recommend the hotel.

This hotel is very nice, beautiful and we really enjoyed our time there. Don't expect the 4 Seasons, but it's great. Great view of the volcano (if you are lucky and the weather is nice), close to La Fortuna (shops, restaurants), hot springs, ziplining and lots of other tour options. This hotel was a good surprise. The gardens the breakfast was beyond expectations. The service was lousy, it took them 3 hours and 3 phon calls to get extra towels and explanation on safe operation. Other then that it was a very good value for the money.

The hotel surpassed anything I had ever imagined! For the price and quality, it is unbeatable! Such a convenient location right outside La Fortuna town which made it quiet and remote. AMAZING views of the Volcano. The hotel grounds, rooms, and restaurant were all wonderful. Definitely recommended for all. This hotel made our honeymoon!

just a very very nice place with spectacular scenery at a very very competitive rate. Later in week we stayed at all inclusive and we feel the volcano was nicer/better at 1/3 nightly price. Lots of things to do nearby and town very nice for adjacent activity.

The large grounds offer an abundance of trails through the gardens to stroll through. The restaurant is well appointed and offers an ample variety. The rooms are large and very clean. I prefer to explore the local area and appreciated having my own car. Taxis are readily available as well. WiFi was available at the pool and main lobby. Breakfast was typical for a buffet in this country (eggs, beans and rice, sausage, etc.) The unexpected surprise was the pancakes. Waitstaff was unenthusiastic. This hotel was everything I dreamed of and more. The staff was great and friendly. The rooms were comfy and clean and had the most amazing view of the arenal volcano. The restaurant on property was probably the best food I ve had, the complimentary buffet breakfast in the morning was also very good. The tours they have recommend are worth the price […] you pay, the ATV tours on the private farms was very fun as we'll as the volcano hike which I highly recommend . Adrian the bartender makes the most amazing drinks and also super friendly. Good service, great restaurant and beautiful location. We had a wonderful view of the volcano out our back door and the grounds are nicely landscaped. Best hotel in the area for your money.

Rainy season in paradise.....still beautiful, even without volcano erupting. Grounds are beautiful, but it is 7 km out of Fortuna, so getting to town is more than a walk. But with a car, its about a 5 minute drive. pools are wonderful, clean and inviting. Food in Sura restaurant was tasty and service was good, as long a a soccer game was not on....

Very nice property! The rooms were nicely decorated and up to date. Service was wonderful, especially our waiter Eric. Spa services were priced reasonably and there were good specials. The buildings were a little far apart, so getting around wasn't super easy, so having a few more golf carts shuttling would have been nice (but it was slow season, so […] I can't blame them for fewer staff). Volcano Lodge was a really good hotel. The grounds were maintained beautifully and you really felt like you were in paradise. The rooms were clean and comfy although I wish my shower had been a bit cleaner for my tastes. Otherwise, it was a pretty excellent place to stay, swimming pools were clean as well as jacuzzi. The hotel had an excellent view of the Arenal Volcano. There was a soap dispenser in the bathroom for hand washing and in the shower for washing. I would recommend that you bring a bar of soap, which the hotel did not have. Also, bring your tissues, as there were none in the room. The restaurant was beyond wonderful! The view to the Arenal volcano from the room was great. Clean and big room. No internet access from the room, need to go to the lobby.

We found the volcano lodge to be a very pleasant hotel with beautiful gardens. The room we were in had a secluded back porch with a picture perfect view of Arenal. One thing to be aware of is that if you are without a car it costs at least $10 to get out to just about anywhere. The sevice was freindly and helpful. We had a great time

Great time in Costa Rica, good breakfast, new clean rooms, very helpfull, friendly staff, much better than we were expecting for the price. Would definitely stay there again and would recomend it to family and friends.
