The service was horrible, we had no instructions to pick up the key and had to walk down the street to use a payphone when we arrived. The apartment was in run down. We also had do way in the apartment to call the property manager and had no instructions on check out time, therefore we ended up checking out late and they charged us 10 Euros per hour […] of late check out. With nobody working the front desk you won't find any assistance unless you go to a different hotel five minutes down the street. The parking lot that's a big hassle to find and park at and fight traffic trying to get back to the apartments. The cops told me to avoid the road behind the apartment because it's very dangerous. The remote to the tv was […] broken as was the door to the balcony and the shower. The bed was very nothing but springs with no padding even though it was listed as "pillow-top". The water and kitchen smelled like sewer. I enjoyed my time in Dublin but it had nothing to do with this room. I would avoid at all costs if give the choice in the future. Leer más

We have had wonderful experiences staying in apartments before, but this wasn't too enjoyable. When we arrived, there was a sign on the door to call the office. They then told us they would put us in another unit that looked nothing like the one advertised. It was practically in the basement, with the water heater for the entire apartment block in our […] unit. Needless to say it was very noisy. The place got almost no daylight light, and because it was on the ground floor, not safe to leave the windows open at night. This apartment is within walking distance of most everything we wanted to see but we didn't have enough time to go everywhere. Very spacious and clean, neighborhood is safe, prices are awesome!

There is no one on staff in the hotel, so you won't be able to get in if they don't email you the building code and room code ahead of time - which they didn't for us and we had to borrow a stranger's mobile to call. Then we got sent to a room that reeked of smoke and had to get switched. The washer/dryer in the room was very convenient though.

I stayed at the apartments for a weekend and was very pleasantly suprised on my arrival, the apartment was clean and modern and had nice furniture and fittings. We all thought it was a great deal for the price we paid!! It was in a great location and even though we did leave the apartment at the alloted check-out time (we over slept), the cleaner was […] happy to give us 15 minutes to finish packing. The apartments were in the perfect location for seeing Dublin. Since it was an apartment, not a hotel, there was no front desk or help. Checking in was a bit difficult.

A good value. Interesting method of check-in/check-out but no problems whatsoever. The place isn't anything fancy, but was a great value and wonderfully close (15 minute walk) to all major sites in the city. My only complaint is that the voucher codes for "free" wireless were not available upon arrival. When they were finally supplied, it required registration […] and a CC that supposedly wouldn't be billed. We opted for wireless elsewhere. For travelers not used to washer/dryer units overseas, beware! The cycles can take up to 6 hours to complete. You also need to plan for your hot water use (directions are posted in the apartment as to how to make additional hot water available). All in all a good place for travelers not looking for too much fluff...a clean bed, clean bathroom, a nice kitchenette and good sized family/dining room. It suited our needs perfectly! Leer más

The apartment was a most pleasant surprise. It worked out very well for us. A few minor shortcomings: A few more pieces of crockery would have been helpful, as would a slightly wider range of cooking vessels. Also, it would be very helpful, especially in winter, if there were a reading light in the living room. The one overhead light was problematical. […] And, the shower could have been a bit stronger; heat of water was no problem, but water flow was. These are minor complaints; everything worked out just fine. It was very helpful to have a combination washer/dryer available, but it did take a while to figure it out. Nice that instructions for the various appliances were available. Apartment was quiet, in spite of facing the street (might be a problem in the summer if you needed to open windows). The apartment was perfect, it had everything you needed. However, the shower was useless and the window in bedroom leaked. Apart from that it was great.

This hotel did not have our reserved apartment available and on top of that sent us into it while it was still being occupied. They then attempted to send us into an unclean room to stay. We ended up leaving for another hotel. There is no one at the apartments to help you so everything is done by phone. The individuals I was on the phone with were helpful […] and sympathetic to our concerns. This might not occur often but I would be careful to double check reservations before stating. Our family with two children were stranded in Dublin over the Christmas because of the weather conditions. The apartment was booked online from a computer in the arrival area at the airport and we took a taxi straight in afterwards. The apartment was located straight across from the church with a nice view (4th floor) and a walk to the Temple Bar area […] took 5 minutes. The apartment had a kitchen, a living-room with a large dining table, two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom. The maintenance in this establishment is TERRIBLE! Kitchen. Oven door missing. No microwave so no way of warming up food for the children. No Dishwasher but there is a washing machine! Inventory incomplete. Not enough plates etc for a family meal. Lounge TV remote missing batteries so children had 1 channel and very low sound - DISGRACEFUL! Lamp […] broken had to move table lamp from bedroom Bathroom. Ceiling covered in mould. Limited hot water. Bedrooms Clean and sheets fresh. Overall I think this place is used as a doss house for large parties of people going out on the town in Temple Bar. The hotel room is very dam. And the milk provided is out of date. Location is good. Ideal for a family or 4 travellers. There is no toiletries provided, so make sure you bring your own shampoo, soap... The bathroom definitely need furnishing.

Christchurch apartments are just that - an apartment with no reception or help like a real hotel. Couldn't get in at checkin without a code (which was NOT sent to us by e-mail as they said it should have been). Called 3 different numbers for maintenance issues (one wrong # listed in room info was somebody's personal residence - NOT affiliated with the […] hotel!). Showers are a ridiculous. Yes, it's would have been great to use the washer/dryer but you needed to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. The instructions for it were for a completely different model! Couldn't work the heat, either. One bedroom for two people was ridiculously small. But, the location was ok, and I guess the cost for 3 people was "ok." Wouldn't stay there again, though. Leer más

The day before I travelled I read some of the reviews of this hotel and was very worried at the condition of the hotel and what horrors might be might greet me when I arrived. I shouldn't have worried. The rooms were newly cleaned and well furnished. Yes the outside of the windows was a little grimy but the hotel is in the city and on top of a sometimes […] windy hill, so with the combination of wind rain and street grim this is to be expected. There was copious amounts of hot water and a booster heater if this ran out. Internet vouchers were provided for the whole week, and although I was travelling alone plenty of room for a family of four people. The hotel is close to the lively part of the city with plenty of shops bars and other amenities. People booking this hotel should remember that it is completely self catering and pick up some shopping to provide a basic pantry or be prepared to eat out every day. The public areas are really, really shabby. The reception desk has not been manned for a very long time and is very run down. The windows are filthy and when we were dropped off by the taxi we could not believe we were in the same place as depicted on the web site. If you stay make sure you have the door access code and code for the apartment key safe […] - there is no reception or service staff on site - we were not provided with them before we arrived. The actual apartment was reasonably clean (except windows - not sure if they are ever cleaned) and reasonably furnished although some items had condition issues and had not been fixed for a long time. On arrival many of the lights in the kitchen and dining area were burnt out but the service call was promptly answered. Location is pretty good although we faced the main street and the traffic noise was loud. If you like walking you can get into the town centre pretty easily. Would not use again. Leer más

For the price, we thought this was a great value. Having an apartment was great, especially when people are jet-lagged- some can sleep while others are in the living area, watching tv. We saved a good bit on breakfast by having an apartment. You do have to be prepared for a less than "full-service" experience. Our group had two apartments, one was […] unit 13, a 2BR where the bedrooms were at the back of the building. The other was unit 30, a 1BR with the bedroom at the front of the building. We needed the window open, to keep it from being too warm and stuffy- but the street noise did make it hard to sleep at night, and I am typically a sound sleeper. The kitchens were nicely equipped- we could have saved even more money by preparing dinner and/or lunch at the apartment, but were only there for 2 nights. The bathrooms were a "low point"- both were mildewy, and there was a bit of complication in figuring out how to use the water heaters. They were not horrible, but were definitely not a highlight of the stay. We had warm showers and clean towels, so there's only so much to complain about. We found the apartments to be reasonably clean, not spectacular, but tolerable. There was no phone, shampoo, hair dryer. However, there was a washing machine- which is great when traveling! The location was pretty central as well. I would probably stay here again, but only if it were a comparable value to this trip. Leer más

The hotel was not that central but within walking distance to all the major night spots. Good size bedrooms and great value for money. The shower was really dismal - there may have been a problem with the taps.

a big group of us (12) stayed in 3 apartments for a couple of nights. the accommodation was great; loccation ideal for our needs and I was able to park a car safely nearby thanks to the management arrangements

This apartment is in an excellent location, 5 mins walk into the centre of town but far enough away from the pubs and clubs that you can sleep. The size of the apartment was huge, with a good size kitchen and a decent bathroom with bath.

Upon entering the apartment we wanted to turn around and leave. The smell of mold that greeted us at the door was overwhelming and got worse as you moved into the apartment. There was black mold all over the ceiling of the bathroom and surrounded the toilet on the walls. The windows were filthy and there was caked sirt in the corners of the window ledges. […] I did not even have my children shower because the bathroom was so filthy. I now live in Scotland but frequently visit Dublin with friends. We LOVE Christchurch Apartments. Very central, very clean and modern. I always stay here, whether there are 12 of us or I am on my own - great value, very comfortable and very convenient.

Good hotel totally electronic never meet anybody just use passwords to access facilities i.e front door, obtain keys. only disapointed to find family asleep downstairs when got up in morning maybe had trouble accessing facilities . Need to check email or get sms message to get passwords.

Bedrooms fine. Bathroom musty and door kept slanning shut. Washer & dryer hard to use, but glad they were there. Kitchen and living room fine. They need to redo the bathrooms like they have done for the kitchens.

Very nice room with kitchen. If we would have known about this (or noticed), we might have planned to use it better than we did. The unusual part of this experience is that there was never anyone at the desk. We got an e-mail with a code to get into the door - and a code to get into the lockbox that contained the key to our room. These appartments are great value for money and are comfortable and give you allot of freedom compared to a hotel

If you are seeking a two bedroom apartment, with full kitchen, dining and living room areas, at a very reasonable rate for 4 people, this is your place. Near Christchurch, we were able to walk to most of the places we chose to visit in Dublin.

This hotel met all of our hotel needs and more. We expected box size rooms in a bad neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised with the rooms, living room, kitchen and location. It was a little hard to find and there was never anyone at the front desk which would have been bad had we not checked in at their sister hotel down the street. Checking in was aweful! They no longer have 24 hour reception. They have a phone number to call on the locked front door to the apt building. Good thing we had a cell phone with us. They gave us a code to unlock the front door. Then they gave us a code to the key lock box, which holds the keys to all the apartments. After figureing that all out we made […] it our room. Which smelled of mold. We quickly found out the toilet did not flush properly. We called the phone number again to find out about parking for our car. They told us about the parking garage at the St. Augustine Aprtments, which they own too. After parking the car there we talked to them about the toilet situation. After a short talk they gave us a new apartment. Which was an upgraded apartment with two bedrooms and a nicer view. After all the check in issuses our stay was great. Walking distance to everything. But it was frustrating after a day of traveling to not have anyone at reception to help you check in. Leer más

This hotel looked great in theory. Decent price for a one bedroom condo with kitchen! However: The building is in some hot water saving mode, you get two hours only a day of hot water.. unless you hit the boost button which gives you more, after another hour. There were no amenities of a hotel, no shampoo, one tiny bar of soap for 4 people.. they […] will charge you for it if you want it at the front desk. Rip off. Also, there is a big sign on the building that says Free WiFi! But go inside, they want you to pay for WiFi. Unit 6's clock wasn't working, the light in the bathroom didn't work, the toilet seat broke off, the shower required a "boost" device that was loud in order to pump water to the shower head, there was NO place for luggage aside from the small closet.. I like to keep my bag out on a stand or something when only staying for a day or two. The kitchen supplies were nothing.. no soap, and only 2 of each item, 2 plates, 2 glasses..etc even though the place sleeps 4. For the same money, I will stay at the Jury's Inn down the road and avoid the hassles of stocking up a condo for only 3 days use and no amenities. Leer más

This was great. My Wife and I age 71 & 72 were delighted with this apartment. Location wise this is within 5 to 10 minutes walk to many attractions. The major bus services have stops within one half block of the front door. The apt. was very clean and everything worked. The bathroom had some tile along the bottom that had been replaced. They had used […] dark (almost black) grout whereas the original grout was white. The grout was clean but from a distance one could get the impression that it was mold. This is the grout color and definitely is not mold. there were at least 3 small grocery stores nearby, but there was a much larger and much cheaper store about 5 blocks away. The last morning we ran out of toilet paper and they made us go buy more, as it is an apartment this was understandable, but 2 hours before checkout? We had to buy a 4 pack...what a waste of money! Had a few problems flushing toilet, but just had to be pacient. If multiple people were using it it need time to refill.

We were pleased with the size of the apartment for 4 people. The location was good for shopping and restaurants but a little far for walking downtown. We had no problems with the water heater during our first 6 nights. We left and checked back in for an additional night and had no hot water. Stayed here 4/9-11/09. We were a little concerned because of some bad reviews. However, we found the apartments very nice and well located as we walked everywhere. The staff was very helpful. They had an off site parking lot for only 10Euro/day as well. Would definitely say here again. It was basically a tourist class stay.

Christchurh Hall Apts. in Dublin offers a great location, just on the fringe of many major attractions, close to some nice restaurants, shops, and away from most of the noisy pubs, and we got a fairly good room rate. However, I was appalled by the condition of the tub/shower and apartment maintenance in general is a definite problem!! The shower sprayer […] holder in the tub did not work, so you couldn't take a shower and there was red and brown mold growing all over the tub, tub surround and wall - it was disgusting!! Only one towel rack worked, the bathroom had no exhaust fan and smelled funky all the time - there was little to no water pressure to speak of, you had to "boost" the water 1/2 hour before bathing to have hot water and then it was scalding hot and in short supply if mulitple people wanted to take a bath over a period of time. the toothbrush holder was broken, little to no counter space and if you want clean towels, you have to buy laundry detergent and clean them yourself or pay for more towels, they don't provide enough toilet paper and there is no klennex or other amentities provided. they charge you if you leave even one glass out, and there is no maid service at all - apartments are not cleaned, no fresh towels or linens. the bedroom curtain rod was broken, the fireplace was only decorative,and the sofa bed we needed to us was also broken. they sent someone up to look at it after we complained and they assured us he would fix it the next day, but they didn't, we never saw the guy again. the lobby is very small, only a couple of chairs and the computer there was broken - you buzz to get in the front door to the building, but they open the door to everyone anyone and the buzzer system up to the rooms apparently doesn't work because the phone in our room didn't work. there were people there working on it several days but it still wasn't working when we left. they charge you if you want to check in early, we were told there was no room available and we co Leer más

We stayed in one of the apartments for several days while visiting Ireland. Location is fantastic for walking around Dublin taking in all the sights. There is also a great grocery store just down the street (which we found on our second to last day- skip the Spar convenience store which is a little closer but much more expensive and has little selection). The […] condition was decent. Apartment was clean for the most part but could've used to be swept again. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of blankets. Our fireplace didn't work (a bit letdown) and the receptionist had no idea how to work it (an even bigger letdown). Don't plan on doing a ton of laundry. Housed and slept a family of 5 including 2 teenagers comfortably. Within walking distance of Christchurch Cathedral, the Dublinia, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Trinity College, Guiness Storehouse, the River Liffey, several pubs, restaurants, and convenience stores.
