A most enjoyable experience. Lovely , helpful staff. Would definitely stay again.

On entering the hotel we were immediately taken aback with the colourfull decor, very bright and funky. We were upgraded to a nice modern clean room, fresh cupcakes brought to our room. we ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the food, very good quality and service. We definately will be returning. A lovely hotel.

I was very disappointed in the room. We ordered a superior deluxe double. The room was clean but the view was of a brick wall. It made it quite depressing. I always stay 5 star and I definately would not give this 5 star rating.

Hotel is very impressive at first glance. Interior is modern and bright with many distinctive features. Bedroom was very standard with a view of an industrial estate. Service in restaurant was appalling - 30 mins to even get a drink ( our starters arrived first) Food and hotel very overpriced and to my opinion not 5 star standard. We spent 2 days at the G and we enjoyed every moment, the staff couldn't do enough to make our stay the most amazing ever, the food was excellent and the spa sublime - loved the whole experience - will definitely be going back again and again.

Lovely Hotel, very good food, lovely receptionists, general manager and porter, but absolutely the worst ever service for breakfast, dinner in particular and the bar mans rudeness just capped it all. This was a special family weekend and we were shocked. I was just more upset that this could be the case in what was supposed to be a five star hotel. […] All that said it didn't ruin our weekend and if I was assured that the service level was improved I would consider returning - maybe!. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights and the staff and hotel are some of the best we have ever encountered in Europe or anywhere else for that matter. The breakfast was a bit pricey is my only complaint. 17 Euros for continental breakfast and 24 euros for any single "hot item" seems like a bit much for breakfast. There is a small cafe'/coffee shop […] behind the hotel so we never ate there except for dinner the first night which was great but very pricey as well. We were there for only 1 nite but it was fabulous. The decor is modern and a bit eclectic but interesting and chic. The service was terrific, room spotless and breakfast flawless. I would stay there again in a minute and was sad to leave. The only drawback is that it is about a 20 minute walk to downtown. There is a movie theatre and stores attached […] and free parking. Very quirky and different, amazing place, very comfortable room, fantastic bed.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at the G for two nights midweek. It had come highly recommended and it did not dissapoint. From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Whether it was arranging for our bags to be brought to the room on arrival or making reservations for dinner nothing seemed too much trouble […] for the staff. I would have to say that they truly are a credit to the hotel. The room itself was lovely with a massive bed and ample space, the lobby and bars were very impressive. We chose to eat out in Glaway so did not experience the restaurant, but we did have breakfast in the hotel which was again 1st class. The only drawback that I found was the location, our room did not have any view at all and it cost around 12 euro for a taxi into the city centre. Leer más

Our family had booked 6 rooms in the hotel for the weekend of our nieces wedding My sister was allocated a room at the back of the hotel with a large bush growing outside the window making her room very dark Despite several requests over the weekend that she be moved she was not facilitated and her dissatisfaction marred the weekend for all of us Also […] very disappointed to be charged to use the pool and lack of facilities for children generally The final straw was on checkout when my keycard ceased to function at 12.05 as I was trying to bring our bags to the car All in all while hotel decor is pleasant this does not make up for the unattractive location and lack of a pool which child guests can avail of Also although we arrived at 4pm our room was not ready and we had to wait in reception while it was made up We have stayed in many 5 star hotels here and abroad and would have to say that the G does not compare favourably with hotels like the Aghadoe heights or the Ritz Carlton and we would not choose it again Leer más

Taking the price that you pay for a 5 Star hotel like the G into consideration, I must admit I was expecting more from it. I have stayed in other 5 Stars but the G didn't quiet come up to that required level. Staff were polite but forgetful and the room was average. I've stayed in 4 Stars that had nicer rooms. we spent last week end at the hotel.It is a fantastic place once you gain entrance.It is based in a retail park and very off putting at the start.found a glass of chardonnay at 10euro a glass very expensive.When our room was tidied the papers were thrown on the ground and robes thrown on chair.This should not have been the case.Overall we enjoyed our […] stay though found it expensive in these tough times.we hope to return again at some stage. The G hotel is clean, modern and the rooms are bright and spacious. The bed was extremely comfy and the blackout blinds ensure a good nights sleep. Even though our room overlooked the busy intersection, we couldn't hear a single noise from outside. I got a treatment in the spa which was great. Only complaint was the poor cocktail we had in the bar. […] Our Piña Coladas were badly made and when they didn't fill the glass the barman topped them up with pineapple juice. I ws disappointed to be charged for the use the Therminal pool. Filling in a long medicial questionare for a 30 min dip in the pool is a little over the top. Otherwiese I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. Good managment at the hotel and I hope you do well in the future.

We had a overnight stay at the G not long enough, just love the whole feel of the place. As we toured around Ireland this is our first choice for great accommodation. We also had our breakfast included which was wonderful and a very high standard of service by the staff .....it's a must for anyone

My wife and I stay at the G hotel on a routine weekend break. We were highly impressed with the courtesy and frienliness of the staff. The hotel sucesfully combines a rare mix of luxury and yet relaxing atmosphere. Kudos to the G Hotel

From start to finish it came up well short. inadiquate signs in underground car park for hotel, (Shares with a shopping center.) Corridors of hotel silly dark with low lighting, not a very safe feeling. Standard rooms not 5 star level. room service a joke! asked 2 times for bottled water, never arrived. My wife and I recently stayed for one night at The G on our way to the West coast of Ireland. The hotel's atmosphere is relaxed, it's clean everywhere and the rooms are spacious and clean as well. The staff is friendly, and the food both in the restaurant as well as for breakfast is excellent. However, comparing with other 4* and 5* hotels in Ireland […] it is missing the specialness that makes it a 5* hotel. We have stayed in lots of other 4* hotels and another 5* in Ireland and world wide, and The G is, compared with everything, a very good 4* hotel. The one thing that really would have been great was the Spa area with a nice relaxation pool, however it costs 20€ just to enter the general Spa area, even without a treatment. A very nice and modern hotel, but the negatives out weigh the positives. Full Irish breakfast was one of the worst we ever had. Room large but inadequate storage space. No where to put toileteries in the spacious bathroom!!! - only one tiny shelf. Went down for drinks one night, but found one third of foyer / bar to be in use for wine reception and […] ALL of other two thirds was reserved. No seats or table free, despite us being guests at the hotel. Have to ring reception for almost everthing - even to get tea and coffee making facilities in the room. A booklet in the room lists all the facilities available, but too many basics require you to phone reception. This is very frustrating and annoying. It makes you feel like you are a demanding customer even though you have no choice. Restaurant is expensive, but the food was excellent, which would make you wonder why breakfast is so bad. Warning - restaurant dinner portions on the small side. Bar is not very homely or inviting - went to pub accross the road for nightcap. On the positive side, hotel is very clean comfortable and has efficient and friendly staff. But his not enough considering their price structures. Leer más

We stayed at the G for several days and based out of Galway for some day trips in the country. The hotel was great, albeit ecclectic. The pinks, purples, lime greens and other colors added to the uniqueness of this hotel, although the rooms were more "normal" colors. The best part of the stay, by far, was the staff. Every single staff member went above […] and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. The concierge became our personal tour guide, with great suggestions on where to go. If we wanted or needed anything all we had to do was ask and it was done. From extra linens to power converters they responded quickly to our every request. If you don't stay here, stop by for the action on the first level of the hotel. There are 4 whimsically designed "rooms" for food, drink, music, and dancing. This is a hot spot for sure - but not a traditional Irish experience. The hotel is not in the heart of Galway which has such a great Irish city vibe with countless pubs. Absolutely superb. Probably the best hotel in which I've ever stayed.

I found the bar, hotel reception (and toilets/bathrooms) to be disappointing - black and soul-less! Not a cosy bar as I tend to like. Furthermore the absence of tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom was a big negative - €4.50 for a cup of tea! I won't be going back! The views from the Hotel very disappointing. Overall an over-rated hotel with […] far superior accomodation available in other hotels for the same price and possibly cheaper. If budget isn't an issue then it is hard to beat the Sheraton for location, quality and overall presentation. If Budget is an issue then the Spanish Arch Hotel or Jury's Inn are worth looking at! Maybe my expectations were a bit high, just like the price of of this hotel, but I left feeling unimpressed. Stayed in much more impressive hotels at a fraction of the cost. Staff and lobby decor were great, but the room was basic enough.

We stayed at the G Hotel for 2 nights in early July. The weather in Galway was foul for the entire trip but this didn't dampen our enthusiasm for with Galway or the uniquely and eclecticy appointed G Hotel. The only drawback - especially given the rain - is that it's a little distance from the city centre. However, taxis are plentiful and reasonably […] priced and there is also a very regulatr local bus service that passes the hotel and takes about 5-7 minutes to get to Eyre Square. Very enjoyable. With a decor that would fit well in Disneyland or Las Vegas, the G hotel is whimsical and certainly not a touch of traditional Ireland. But the rooms are superb, service is delightful, amenities abound, and the location is within a 20 minute walk of all the activity in central Galway. The G is a worthy destination and a great value on its own.

Stayed in the G for a wedding recently. I was very impressed with the hotel and the way they organised the wedding. The decor was great and the food was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

everything was great. 24 hr fitness center has everything you could want yet it is small and clean. all equipment is state of the art and has a tv on each piece of equipment. The Hotel staff was very very helpful and totally professional in everything that they did. Wireless access from my room was not good so they brought me a cord to hook up immediately […] when I mentioned this to the staff. Food is excellent. It is the best hotel in Galway and I would definitely stay there again. A great deal for the money. This is a wonderful hotel and the staff is fantastic! The price on Hotels.com made this hotel a great value. The spa is fabulous. I was in Galway for a week and the stay at The G made that week very comfortable.

High end fancy hotel with excellent service. We got a soiled towel, but when we called the front desk, the manager came immediately, apologized and offered remedies. We said we only want to point it out to them, but they sent us champagne during their very nice breakfast included with the room. Rooms are nice, but if you are facing the back, keep curtains […] close so the fantasy of the room is not spoiled the veiw of a shopping malls back parking lot. Leer más

Hotellet var en god opplevelse fra piccoloen hentet bagasjen og parkerte bilen, til han bar den ut igjen og hentet bilen for oss igjen. Kjempe hjelpsom betjening, mat som smelter i munnen på the Matz (hotell restauranten). Rommene blir ryddet og vasket 2 ganger daglig så renholdet er perfekt. På kvelden trekkes gardinene igjen og det settes downlights […] på badet. Betjeningen er behjelplige med bestillinger og gir veibeskrivelser som den største selvfølgelighet. Alt legges opp til at man skal slappe av og bare kose seg. Anbefaler taxi til og fra sentrum da det er en drøy gåtur i kjedelige omgivelser, dette koster ikke mer en ca 10 euro og da orker man å stå i et par timer på en av de hyggelige pubene i Galway. Vi gikk i olabukser og hettegensere på restauranten og ingen lettet et øyenbryn, men anbefaler likevel at du tar med noe litt mer elegant for å sitte ned med en hyggelig drink eller for et bedre måltid. Klientellet er velstående par eller familier stort sett. Jeg kommer definitivt til å dra tilbake både for hotellet og for området som er fantastisk vakkert, kort vei både til Connemara og cliffs of Moher. Leer más

Excellent rapport Qualité - Prix, bon restaurant, chambres spatieuses, claires, propres, comfortables, silencieuses et lobbies et autres salons impressionnants. petits déjeuners somptueux et de qualité. les petits moins : pas de douchette dans la salle de bain, uniquement douche "pluie" haute et assez violente, ce qui est peu pratique pour un shampoing- […] brusching pas de mirroir agrandissant dans la salle de bain pour rasage ou maquillage de précision Un tout petit peu loin du centre ville pour y aller à pied (15 à 20 minutes) Leer más
