Hotel Bristol

El hotel es muy bonito, no es un 5 estrellas pero es muy bonito, muy buena ubicacion. Desafortunadamente el servicio es muy malo, si bien la gente es muy amable el servicio es muy malo, incluso no limpiaron la habitacion en mi estadia.

As a frequent visitor to Oslo I have stayed in several hotels, and this was my best experience so far. Will for sure revisit in future travels.

The hotel is in a good location. Breakfast is exceptional, especially since Oslo is so expensive. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful but the alcohol is extremely expensive in the bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room did not live up to expectations. Our view was of basically a wall. The room was really hot and stuffy at night even though […] it was -3 degrees outside. I enjoyed the stay at this excellent hotel.

Came to Oslo for a short vacation to meet with some of my friends. Hotel room was very comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent and had a wide variety of foods, one of the best breakfasts in the hotels I stayed at on this trip. The hotel also has a very cool old-school bar/lounge for entertaining guests which takes the form of a library. There […] is a popular bar not far away which can lead to some noise at night but I think this would be mainly a problem for light-sleepers. I was fine. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to centre of town and rail/bus/tram if you need. The airport bus also stops close by although I would recommend getting the airporrt express train instead. Very pleasant hotel....great dining, great breakfast, comfortable rooms, great location.

this was the second Thon hotel we stayed in and again, even though we booked the room 3 months prior to arriving they assign the room when you get there and because of our flight it was 9 pm before we checked in.We were put on the top floor, 7th, and the elevator only went to the 6th floor so we had 21 steps to navigate and my husband is legally blind […] so it was very difficult for him. And there was some kind of pump that was running all night and was thumping in the wall wall by his side of the bed, he had to sleep turned around at the bottom of the bed. Leer más

This hotel is good value. Oslo is a very expensive city so the full breakfast is a bonus. The hotel is a bit older but it is very convenient to local sights, parks, the ferry, etc. as well as a close walk to the business/government offices. The rooms were a bit dark, but they were clean. The hotel is very central, great for getting to all the touristy places. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall the stay in the hotel was very pleasant.

This hotel has a lot of older charm, in its public rooms and spacious bedrooms. Location is right downtown and Flybus drops you right there from airport. Don't expect air conditioning, but the windows do open in case it does get warm. Great location for walking to all points of interest from museums to shopping to restaurants. Waterfront also within walking distance. Rooms are well sized and very comforatable. Great breakfast with lots of food...... I would stay there again

I spent one Saturday night in this hotel. My room was on a lower floor, facing the street (#326) and the partying continued under my window until 3:30am. Fun if you're one of the party people ... not so much if you're hoping to get some sleep.

Hotel Bristol displayed such wonderful old-school elegance. The interior was stunning with chandeliers and sculptures everywhere. My room was comfortable and very clean, and even being a standard single had a full-sized bath-tub. Breakfast was included in the price and was a lovely buffet with a chef on hand to create freshly-cooked omelets etc. if […] you wanted them. The library lounge beside the foyer offered a good range of food and drinks, in a very comfortable, yet decadent environment. The staff were always polite and approachable while also being very professional. Housekeeping was friendly and very efficient. A cut above. The Bristol is located near to the heart of the CBD and was less than a minute's walk to tram-lines and the airbus. Saying this, I could not hear any road-noise from my room. I would easily suggest this hotel to any wishing to stay in Oslo. Leer más

clean, well appointed, good location,and good breakfasts

this is a lovely old hotel right in the heart of Oslo. Rooms were clean and quiet, staff were all very helpful and courteous.

Hotel was very nice. Staff was also very nice and helpful. Everyone spoke English very well. The included breakfast buffet was very good, with a large dining room and a good selection. The location is great, one block off the main shopping street. It is about a 10 minute walk to the central train station, which was great since we arrived and departed […] by train. The only fault, if you could call it that, was that the air conditioning wasn't that good. It was unusually hot while we were there and we could have used better A/C. Leer más

I traveled with my family of 5 to Norway to bike the Rallervaegen from Finse to Flam. We stayed at the Hotel Bristol after reading the reviews on local hotels. We enjoyed the historic aspects of the hotel - especially the wonderful lobby environment. The service quality and enthusiasm were top notch. The rooms are average and appear to be working toward […] keeping the "rustic" feel as opposed to modernization. We enjoyed this but others will need to judge for themselves. It is located one street off the main street so it is more quite but less dynamic - we enjoyed that but our teenagers were less enthralled. If someone is looking to be in the middle of the action - the Grand Hotel look to be a better choice. Leer más

Hotel was fine except that the room was hot. The only way to control the temperature was by opening the windows but because of the noise from London pub across the street that went on until the wee hours of the morning, sleep was difficult.

Traditional hotel with classy public areas. Rate included excellent breakfast.

This is a lovely old hotel with an elegant lobby that attracts families and friends to meet over a glass of wine, tea, or sandwiches. It's a very warm, welcoming atmosphere. One might call it a Norwegian version of the Waldorf Astoria, although not that grand. The rooms are clean and nice, but nothing particularly fancy. Some are quite small, others […] are a decent size. People at the reception were exceptionally nice. When I told them I was checking out the next day at 4:30am to catch an early flight, the man behind the desk immediately said that he would arrange for boxed breakfast for me to take with me in the taxi to the airport, which he did. Internet access is free. Location could not be more central. Easy walk to harbor, to Central Station and new amazing Opera House, and to lots of restaurants and shops. Leer más

The Bristol hotel is a great base for any stay in Oslo, the period hotel is well kept with freindly helpfull staff all of which speak good english. The room was spacious for 2 people with a good bathroom and comfortable beds. The atmosphere in the louge is freindly and quiet with a piano player throughout the evenings. Breakfast was buffet a style with […] massive choice and food was available in the hotel during the whole day. It seemed during the day it was a busy corporate seminar type of place, but in the evenings it was quiet and relaxing. The location is excellent for travel in and around Oslo within walking distance of the town centre, underground, tram and bus station. It also has excellent access to the ferry and boat services around the Fjords. The underground gives easy access to the mountains and ski areas. In all i would recomend a stay here although look for a bargain as it can be expensive, we found a deal to get 1 night free and this made it much easier to afford. Leer más

The first impression as you enter the hotel says it all. Classy, cozy, and nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the restaurant also first rate. The staff were not always fully informed of local transportation options, but otherwise were very helpful. Location excellent.

Hotel Bristol is a beautiful hotel situated in the center of Oslo. The public area is very elegant. The staff is accommodating. The breakfast is wonderful with many selections. Location, location, location! Wonderful hotel of the old grand style. Located downtown in walking distance to everything.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Staff were helpful and courteous throughout. My room was very comfortable and a decent size. It was also quiet except from the thumping sound of a club outside. Overall very happy.

The hotel was the right price and has a great location. The bus from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel! How wonderful!

We were quite surprised with the very central location close to everything special. The hotel staff went out of their way to help in an emergency.

It was record breaking heat wave while we were there and needed a fan to help keep the room somewhat cool - there aren't many places w/ a/c in oslo though. The service and accomodation was great. THe breakfast is top notch!

The hotel was great! Great location by the downtown area. The staff was very helpful. The beds were fine and the room spacious and clean. It is a great place to stay.

Hotell Bristol er beliggende i sentrum, nær alle fasiliteter. Hotellet er meget hyggelig med den Mauriske hall, hvor det er deilig å sitte med en kaffe eller vin. I lunsjen serveres de deiligste smørbrød. Stedet er også meget populært blandt Oslos befolkning. Rommene er godt utstyrt. Resepsjonen er hyggelig og service minded. Hotell med sjel og sjarm. Hyggelig betjening og topp kvalitet på rom og fellesareal. Ekstra pluss er den hyggelige loungen. Eneste lille minus er at det kan være trangt i frokostsalen på morgenen.

Flott hotell med fin gammel stil i hjertet av Oslo med førsteklasses gril.

Særdeles god service og atmosfære. Sentralt, rolig, proffesjonell betjening. Stadig færre slike historiske hotell, bruk dem, bevar dem.

Bare synd jeg ikke rakk den deilige frokosten :)

Jeg bor svært gjerne på Bristol - du vet hva du får, og det du får er et behagelig opphold midt i Oslo. Kommer snart tilbake!

Il soggionro presso l'Hotel Bristol è stato più che soddisfacente. Il personale alla reception molto gentile efficiente e competente. L'albergo molto pulito camere pulitissime e molto confortevoli. Ottimo il breakfast con buffet ricchissimo. ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. assolutamente da consigliare

L'albergo è a 500 metri dal palazzo reale di Oslo, a 100 metri dal Parlamento, dietro al porto, ad un passo dall'Hard Rock Cafe, ad una traversa dalla pizza principale, che dire.. la posizione è fantastica. L'albergo ha tutto il gusto e lo sfarzo non vizioso dei primi del '900: arredi e finiture sono curati nel dettaglio, il servizio e la pulizia sono […] ottimi (considerando che siamo in Norvegia il servizio è ottimo ma non lo paragonate a quello dei 5 stelle italiani perché sarebbe scorretto). Ho soggiornato nelle camere della parte nuova e le stanze non sono grandissime, questo per un motivo di riscaldamento. Non so dirvi di quelle della parte vecchia. Colazione a bufffet estremamente ricca e variegata. Ristorante molto prestigioso e caro come tutti quelli della città. Andateci e quando sarete a bere l'aperitivo su quelle belle poltrone in pelle, con il sottofondo del pianoforte (live!), e la fontana da far base me lo racconterete! Leer más

Bodde der 4 netter i januar. Meget fornøyelig opphold. Hyggelige folk i skranken, rolig og god atmosfære og kjapp innsjekk/utsjekk. Frokosten er nydelig.

Utmerket hotell med en service jeg ikke har opplevd maken til i Norge. God frokost.
