Foscari Palace - Venecia 45.4406, 12.33462

This hotel was a real fantastic find...thanks to hotels.com. The highlight of our trip to Venice was the view from the rooftop terrace of the hotel...stunning!

We enjoyed our stay. The Hotel room was well kept. They were very pleasant and generally helpful. My only complaint was that we requested a wake up call when we were scheduled to get up in the morning to get to our plane. However, the call never occurred. Fortunately, we had a back up alarm to meet our scheduled deadline. Otherwise, the staff were friendly, courteous, and professional.

Lovely hotel, with a Vaparetto stop just around the corner (Ca' D'Oro) and a Traghetto outside the front door, although walking to San Marco from the hotel takes barely 15-20 mins. Breakfast is excellent and the mini-bar prices surprisingly reasonable (for Venice, at any rate). We would definitely have no worries about staying at the Foscari again (especially if we were upgraded again:-)).

Comfortable and spacious hotel, very well placed within Venice for access to "Sites" and shopping and restaurants. Close to both Traghetto and Vaporetto stops.Helpful and friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Superior double room was very good value, large and with a side view of the grand canal

this hotel was advertised at having tea and coffee making facilities in room. was very disappointed that this was not the case. excellent shower but no room to move. outlook! a wall you could almost touch

A very pleasant stay. A smallish hotel with friendly staff. Room was good - just a shame my pockets are not deep enough to get one with a Grand Canal view. Decent breakfast and a reasonably priced bar. It does a very good Spritz. The highlight is a brilliant rooftop terrace overlooking the Grand Canal. We visited in October, so it was a bit cool, but it must be great to sit out on it in the summer. If you are feeling flash you can arrive direct to the door by water taxi. We got the water bus to Rialto. It is a short walk from there.

The Foscari Palace is perfectly placed at the centre of one of the more amazing places on the planet. Venice in late October seems perfect - everything still fully open; calm weather; busy but not impossible. Getting around Venice from the Foscari Palace was easy using a combination of leg-work and a three-day vaporetto / bus pass. The hotel sits on the Grand Canal close to C'a D'oro and sends you out into Venice perfectly relaxed following a quiet night and an excellent breakfast. The lack of a restaurant is no problem, allowing all other food to be taken wherever one finds. The room - a classic double - was smaller than expected but compact turned out to be OK, never claustrophobic because of the high ceilings - and very comforatble and clean. It was not possible to stay in the room other than at night as there were no chairs save an upright cahir at a desk wedged at the foot of the bed. The city is unique and wonderful; the Foscari Palace an ideal place from which to see it.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were updated and the bathrooms were gorgeous with all marble. Then only complaint is the lack or really hot water for showers, but the shower was high tech. They offered plush robes and slippers, a nice touch. It was in close proximity to the water buses and shopping. St. Marks Square was not far and it was fun to get lost in Venice exploring while trying to find the main attractions!

We loved this hotel. We stayed at two hotels in venice on this trip and this was by far the best. It was updated and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Hotel prices in Venice are high, but this hotel was reasonably priced compared with others in its class. The location was centrally located and easily accessed with a vaporetto stop nearby on the grand canal. The free breakfast was quite good. They even let us check-in early which was nice.

Stayed for 2 nights. Service was excellent. Room cleaned twice a day, fresh towels each time. Located near Rialto Bridge. Although on the Grand Canal, it's off the main street so it's quiet when needed. Breakfast is good with a variety of food. Would stay again, if i returned to Venice.

I actually found this hotel on another website, but hotels.com offered a better rate. What a find. Great boutique hotel in the middle of Venice. A real bargain for such a top notch hotel. We especially enjoyed the roof top terrace with its magnificent view of the city.

A nice small hotel with a local flavor. The room was clean and the rooms have LCD TV's. A fair walk from St. Marks square. Since this was our first time in Venice, we found it challenging to arrange transportation from our cruise ship to the hotel. But once we arrived at the hotel, the hotel helped with all of our further water taxi needs. Also a very good breakfast was provided by the hotel. It was mostly couples at the hotel. Did not see any children.

This is a lovely hotel. The rooms were oversized and the bathroom was large and luxurious. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is in a great location with restaurants and shops nearby and a gondola dock at the dpoorstep.

Beliggenheden ved Canal Grande er helt i top. Værelserne rigtig fine og betjeningen i særdeles serviceminded. Morgenmaden var med alle mulige kostvariationer, så man kan i princippet springe frokosten over med det som udgangspunkt. Og så skal man lige huske, at den danske konge Frederik den 4. boede i dette palace på hans anden Venedig rejse i 1708.

Lage des Hotels sehr dicht an der Anlegestelle der Vaporetto-Linie Nr. 1 "Ca d'Oro", Frühstück hervorragend, Service ok. Blick auf den Canal Grande grandios.

Exelent food , great service, 1.2 km nice walk to St marco and close to Rialto bridge. Bring a car navi, I could walk anywhere with it.

Bella camera. Ottima posizione: a metà strada tra stazione e S Marco. Personale cortese ed efficiente. Spettacolare vista sul Canal Grande dalla terrazza panoramica.

bonne situation,le personnel est tres agreable et competent ,il fait des efforts pour parler français.Le calme est au rendez vous
