The hotel was great and one of the better deals in the city. Although it is a bit further from the central area, they have a shuttle that comes pretty frequently. It takes you to the main attractions in Boston (boston commons, fanieul hall, airport, etc). We followed the schedule and apparently missed the shuttle by minutes. We then called the hotel and the hotel called the driver to come back for another round of pickups; that was definitely an A for customer service. The rooms were clean and very nice. An additional benefit was that they provided a great complementary breakfast with your stay.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Boston for four days last week, and am thoroughly satisfied - and will gladly reserve my next trip with them. Upon arriving at Boston Logan, we called the hotel and they provided free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel! Tips are definitely a must. :) They also provide free shuttle service to the main attractions of the city, on a pre-determined schedule. They'll give you a print-out of the schedule either on the shuttle or at the lobby. Some of the stops are Prudential Center, Boston Common, and Quincy Market. They were even gracious enough to shuttle us to South Station (to catch a Greyhound to NYC) since they had an extra driver who was not occupied (even though that's not one of their tasks).. very kind! The hotel itself is basic, but clean. That's my #1 priority when searching to reserve a hotel room. The bed and pillows are surprisingly very comfortable for a 2.5-3 star hotel. The bathroom was very clean, and housekeeping changed the sheets and towels daily. Even if you sleep in and leave around 11, they will clean your room during the day - as we returned after midnight and it had been cleaned. I only have two mini gripes. :) One, the bath towels almost always had a piece of long-ish hair in them. I am assuming it's the hair from one of the housekeeping staff, but perhaps they may want to wear a hair net to prevent this. Second, the hotel is right next to Boston Medical Center, so you *will* hear sirens all night. I am a very light sleeper, but I guess all the daytime activities wiped me out enough to fall asleep through it anyway, but I did stay awake a couple of times before conking out. :) We were on the third floor, so perhaps the higher floors will be more quiet. My room was not facing the street either, it was facing an office building and a landfill type place..hehe. So make sure you're at least not facing the street, if noise is an issue for you. The hotel is OK. It is far from the city AND from the T-line (15 min walk from the stop). The shuttle service is not as frequent as convenience would require, there are 3 hour gaps between buses. The swimming pool is tiny and so is the gym, but it has the advantage of being very quiet if you need to relax for an hour. Breakfast was OK, but offered only yoghurt, fruit, lots of carbs and bacon. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but I expected more for the money.

We frequent the Boston area regularly for business, and have now stayed at this hotel several times. The shuttle service throughout the city is a huge plus. The shuttle, breakfast, good rooms, and friendly staff keep us coming back. There's not much around the area within walking distance for any kind of nightlife or walking about, but you have a shuttle service and taxi rides are no more then $10 to anywhere in the city. Unless another great deal pops up that's too good to refuse, we generally look for vacancies with this hotel first.

The hotel staff was less than helpful. My bathroom toilet overflowed, and no one came to fix it -- ever! We asked the front desk to call a taxi, and they suggested we just get in their shuttle van. When we declined, and asked for a taxi, we waited for more than 45 minutes for a taxi. Reason being? The first time we asked, no one had called for one. I have stayed in other Hampton Inn Suites, and the service has been hospitable. This location I believe, does not know what hospitality is.

This was a great hotel experience. The staff was friendly and responsive with every encounter, from the reception desk to the shuttle drivers. The location of the hotel, although a little over a mile from the downtown area, was walkable, making this hotel a great value compared to the pricey hotels near the convention center. Having the free shuttle was a great plus, especially for getting to and from the airport. Know that the shuttle runs on a loop throughout the city and is not available to pick you up on an on-demand basis. My room was very clean, included a microwave and a fridge, and the bed was quite comfortable. I agree with the posts about the ambulance sirens from the nearby hospital - this happened at least once per day and was a little annoying, but didn't bother me so much that it kept me awake at night. I would definitely stay here again.

Did a one night stay in Boston to take our 2 year old son to the Children's Museum. The hotel was pretty easy to get to. Parking was convenient. The area is congested around rush hour. It is near a hospital so there were a lot of sirens (from ambulances) during the day and night. Didn't use the pool at all. Breakfast seemed to be a typical continental breakfast.

We had a king size nonsmoking room. No extra amenities such as refrigerator or microwave. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was not huge or luxe, but did have a tub with shower, not simply the shower. What makes this hotel a good stay are the services provided. They serve a hot breakfast every morning with a full complement of sides. They also offer a shuttle in town and from the airport that save some time and money with taxis. The T is a ten min walk from the hotel. The hotel was flexible and allowed early check in when we gave them early notice. The staff is attentive and friendly,we would stay there again.

This hotel by far is one of if not the best hotel and experience I ever encountered. The people at the front desk were very helpful and nice, the room was gorgeous and sooo comfy, the breakfast in the morning was fresh and very tasty and was FREE! Granted the hotel is about a mile and a half from the Wharf or downtown, but they offer a FREE shuttle service! I am planning on visiting Boston again in the future and will DEFIENTLY stay here again!

We were visiting Boston and needed a place to stay for the weekend. Most of the hotels in Boston were expensive but this hotel was more within our range and looked pretty good from the pictures. It's a bit further away from the main touristy areas (2 miles or so) but it's still great because they provide free shuttles to the main areas: boston commons, fanueil hall, airport, etc. As long as you're along the route/way, they'll drop you off but of course, don't forget to tip the drivers! What's even better was that they provide an awesome complementary breakfast with your stay. You get to save on breakfast and car rental. :)

This hotel does provide parking but it is 25 per night. Also if you have more than two people in a double bed suite you must pay an extra person fee. Besides that everything else was like all other hotels.

The Hampton has an excellent breakfast for its guests. From fresh fruit, yogurt, rolls, danish, bagels, cereal, eggs, and sausage. This was a wonderful bonus to staying here.

Area surrounding hotel is not safe, especially after the sun goes down. I was overcharged for parking - had my rental car in garage for total of 9 hours and was charged for 2 full days of parking fees. Fees were not explained in full before being charged to my account. Service from front desk was less than satisfactory. There was not one person that seemed to care about customer service. I would not recommend this hotel to any one of my friends or any stranger.

THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE. THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE BUT A LITTLE SMALL FOR TWO PEOPLE. THE BREAKFAST HAD A GREAT VARIETY AND A GOOD TASTE. THE KIDS LOVED THE INDOORS HEATED POOL. GREAT HOTEL AND GREAT PRICE.

This hotel has absolutely great service. My girlfriend traveling with me found out she was allergic to the laundry detergent used and the hotel upgraded us to a better room and specially washed the sheets for our room so that she would not have an allergic reaction.

The only complaint I have is that the sofabed mattress was lousy: springs poking and sagging. The regular bed was a lovely King. Indoor pool we didn't use was just big enough to get wet. Aerobic equipment was mediocre but at least present. Excellent breakfast one day, not so great the second day with lousy "french toast" otherwise, great value and very helpful staff.

Hotel staff really worked to accommodate guests -- when more tables were needed in the breakfast room - they were added, when an additional shuttle was needed for guests on Saturday night - it was provided. Our room was great - a suite roomy with a couch sleeper sofa. Parking was reasonably priced.

The hotel was at a good price near North Eastern University. The hotel is not a good hotel for enjoying everything Boston has to offer. It is located about 10 minutes from the main areas of Boston. The price does not include Parking!!!! Which is $25!!!! If you saved that $25, you could get a hotel closer to the main spots in Boston. The hotel was near buses.

We stayed at this hotel to attend Paul McCartney concert at Fenway. Mostly satisfied with accomadations,but the 25.00 parking fee abit high. Hotel is real easy to find right off 93. There isn't much to see near hotel. Would stay again but prefer a place more centrally located.

This is a new hotel with great bedding, free wifi internet, nice roomy rooms with lots of amenities. It is in the south part of Boston near the hospitals, so if you needed to be in this part of town its the best place to stay. It is not too convenient for tourists as those parts of the city a tourist would like to see are not close by, but there is a shuttle service that runs every hour or so to take you to Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and other sites around. Also, there is an hourly free airport shuttle that will pickup and dropoff, which saves about $30 in cab fares. All in all, the service and amenities and shuttles all were really great, but location wise for the average tourist its a bit out of the way.

The staff were very helpful and overall the hotel was lovely. There is a shuttle that will go out of its way a little for you, which is nice--for instance, on its way to the hospital, it dropped us off at the Boston Fine Arts Museum, and will also make drop-offs at near restaurants, etc. The one bad thing was that our "non-smoking" room had a distinct cigarette smell. It might have been that the people before us had broken the rules and smoked in the room, but they should make more of an effort to air out the room if that is the case. Oh, also, the pool is tiny & not worth bringing a swimsuit for.

This was my first trip with out my parents picking the hotel and i could not of picked a better hotel! they serve an amazing breakfast with a large variety to make everyone happy the rooms where very clean and the beds where supper confey! I really enjoyed my stay here and I plan to return the rates where as great as the hotel!

We enjoyed our stay. We did have an issue with our toilet in the room several times over the three days. The staff was always right up to our room to resolve the issue. Management should look into this ongoing issue!

I really did like the hotel, it was clean and I did like the complimentary shuttle. Our shuttle driver, Greg, was awesome. He was helpful, polite and very helpful to my fiance and I due to the fact that we were travelling with our 8 month old daughter. We do wish that the hotel was closer to other amenities such as Fenway and shopping but overall we were happy with our stay.

We stayed one nite June 13-14. Great stay parking is 25$ add that to your budget. Breakfast is free til 10am all the fixins and then some; subtract that from your budget:). Overall, Hampton Inn is very close to a luxury stay without the price tag. Our 1/2 suite was very suitable to all of our needs. Just south of the airport everything is great.

We were in Boston for my sons graduation and did not know how we were going to get 14 people there. The staff made arrangements to shuttle us back and forth and took a big worry off our shoulders. My parents are both in wheelchairs and it would have been very difficult. I feel they went out of their way to be helpful. I can't tell you how much we appreciated it.
