Fancy nice hotel in a great location, but there were lots of little things that kept it from being perfect. We did like the big room. The standard room was full and we got upgraded to the superior. Very nice. We liked that there were tons of plugs for electronics. Surge protector was included in at the desk. Wiring was 20 amp instead of 15 (at least it it had that receptacle). Free wifi at least with the rate we got. Huge TV, nice bathroom. Towel warmer. All that. The little things could probably be rectified with a bit of work. We didn't get our paper. The front desk didn't answer the phone. There's no fan in the bathroom. Room was oddly drafty. And most importantly we never got good directions to anywhere we wanted to go. The front door staff seemed clueless about how to get to obvious places. The doormen were better though. Walking around in the cold because the front staff couldn't give you directions to Legal Seafood was annoying. You can get good prices now so I would stay here again.

When it comes to service, the Back Bay Hotel is second to none. From the moment you are met at the door by the car valet, to the person at the desk or even anyone in the halls, you are surrounded by people who wish nothing more than to ensure your stay is fabulous. When our hairdryer had a malfunction, someone was there in an instant. The coffee from room service was actually hot, the bed was perfect, and the towels (heated) were thick and fluffy. My only regret was that the shower spray was a bit sad.

The hotel was great! The staff was friendly and helpful when I lost my cell phone. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was spacious. The location was great for doing anything in Boston. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Boston.

I was very happy with the hotel. The room was very comforatble with all of the amenities. The only amenity that I expected and did not get was an in-room coffeemaker. I was told that one could be rented fro the length of my stay, but I thought that it should have been included. Otherwise, I enjoyed staying at the Back Bay and would definitely return.

This was an extremely friendly hotel. Room service and lobby staff were congenial and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and very comfortable, but a bit small. Access to all the tourist venues is extremely convenient. Two of two resturant suggestions by two different concierge were real bombs. We would have been better off asking strangers on the street for reccomendations.

This is a very nice hotel. The rates I was able to get seemed to good to be true so I was worried until we arrived. Wonderful renovations keeping the history alive with modern updates. The staff wonderful, recommending restaurants nearby that were very good. I was traveling with 2 other couples and know they were also very pleased with their rooms. One day a newspaper didn't get delivered and staff immediately brought one up to the room, in less than 5 minutes. The hotel was very near the metro, the bar was fun and lively and actually had dinner twice in 5 days in the restaurant that was also excellent.

Outstanding service staff. Nice, comfortable room. Only negatives: steps from lobby to street entrance are scary to ladies, particularly with heels, and room doors are very noisy when they close or slam shut.

Cant say enough, got in very early, most hotels make you wait for check in..They didnt. Room was wonderful, location is great. The shampo and other product were top notch..Just a wonderful experience. Only thing..You need a few coke machines.You have a wonderful hotel..wonderful friendly and helpful employees. I will stay there again..

We had a spacious room with a wonderful little coffee machine which made the best coffee I have had in a hotel room,it was with coffee pods! The reception staff was warm and friendly,especially Natalie,and so was housekeeping.You could walk to everything from the hotel,2 blocks to the Commons, the Theatre District and Copley Square.There was a restaurant and Bar on site and a little pastry sort of place where you could get coffee,yoghurt parfait,an apple turnover and sit in a living room setting to have them.There were 2 computers in the business centre where you could check your email and free wifi in the rooms for those with their own laptops.Loved the down comforter and firm mattress in the room.Quiet elegance and comfort but not stuffy would describe this hotel aptly.

Comfortable beds! We walked to all the Boston sites or walked to the T. Lovely sitting room off the lobby. Nice Irish bar downstairs. Only complaint is that maid service woke us up one morning with their blaring walkie talkies. I spoke to the manager who apologized. While I appreciated the apology, nothing else was offered. A basic hotel anywhere is supposed to provide a quiet place for guests to sleep and not have their staff disturb them first thing in the morning.

Back Bay Hotel [Formerly Jury's Hotel] is a high quality hotel catering for both business and leisure guests, with the usual facilities, including free wireless internet access, free bottled water daily and an expresso style coffee machine. Staff are courteous, efficient and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully furnished, and have the most comfortable and luxurious of beds. Whilst we only used the in-house facilities for breakfast, this proved to be excellent. Pancakes were exquisite - though one of the three served was filling enough on its own. When my wife asked to bring one of her left-over's back to the room for me (on a conference call), the waiter went to get the usual box that American restaurants use, but returned to say, "the chef is not happy to send cold food to the room, so he is making a fresh one".. Which was very nice of them, and did not result in a charge for an additional meal! The hotel is convenient for Newbury Street's many cafes and restaurants and a pleasant walk from the harbour area. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Excellent!

My first view of the hotel got me right from the beginning - upscale but not pretentious feeling. The staff was very friendly, the restaurants on location were very good and decent value. The rooms themselves were quite lovely - while smaller than some, they were very nicely appointed, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, and the room was very clean, much cleaner than any hotel I've stayed at in a long time. Overall, was a great hotel with great value.

I have stayed in several hotels in Boston, including in the Back Bay area, but this was my first stay at the Back Bay Hotel. My wife and I were very pleasantly surprised. This boutique hotel is very comfortable, with finely appointed rooms, excellent room service, a fine restaurant, and a nice Irish-themed bar. We loved it and will stay there again when we next travel to Boston!

This hotel is excellent! Very modern and they go the extra mile for you. We got an incredible rate for this hotel. Upon check in I told the General Manager that I was going to propose to my girlfriend and could we upgrade to a bigger room. They gave us a big, beautiful room and a late check out at no additional cost to us. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and nice and they are very sincere. This hotel also has extra touches like an Espresso Maker in the room, and a turn down service where they leave chocolates on your bed and fill your ice bucket for you. We stayed at another Hotel the night before which was several hundred dollars more and they did not do anything extra for you. This hotel is absolutely beautiful and modern and the bar, cuffs is the happening place to be. Just be careful ordering mixed drinks as they are very expensive. This hotel is a great value for your money.

Rooms, bathrooms are wonderful. Flat screen TV's - only complaint is that the superior rooms do not have coffee makers. If they had those this would be the very best.

What made my stay at Boston's Back Bay Hotel was, without a doubt, the high quality of service and personal attention. The staff went above and beyond my expectations, from the first day to the last. Two examples of things they did to make my stay more comfortable and less stressful: - It's difficult for me to sleep without the sound of a fan, and they accommodated me promptly. - I brought along my bicycle, and they were kind each time I checked it in and out of safe-keeping (I did it frequently). I only ordered room service once, and I'm a connoisseur of french fries: theirs are fantastic. The rooms are quiet, and I never heard any noise from neighboring guests. The bathrooms were well stocked, and the quality of the products they offered was better than I expected. The location is fantastic, and though I had my bike, I didn't always need it to go out exploring, shopping, eating, etc. I would, hands-down, stay there again.

Very nice upacale, boutique-type hotel in a good Boston location. Room was small, but nicely appointed and clean. A more comfortable chair in the room is desirable. Climate control is a little noisy. The lobby and nearby lounge areas are nice, lobby stairway with water feature and lighting is unique, beautiful light fixtures, and the staff were courteous. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.
