Nice hotel, very comfortable and in a good location for getting round Boston. Easy walking distance to several good restaurants / bars as well as shopping. Good concierge and helpful staff.

Great hotel and great location. The Back Bay is located only a quick walk away from all the great parks and shopping. Many restaurants surround the area with delectable food. Highly recommended.

The Back Bay hotel is a great hotel for a city break or for business. It is located in a most convenient location close to gardens and shopping areas. Transportation is easily accessible - most attractions are within walking distance or can be reached within 5 or 10 minutes by public transport. We found a great deal online and stayed at the Back Bay for one night during Columbus Day weekend. Had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful building (inside and out), comfortable, luxurious room (with a bonus small chaise sofa that was perfect for my son to sleep on when he and his sister wouldn't stop bugging […] each other!). Valet parking is a bit pricey, but hey, it's Boston. Very conveniently located--an easy walk to the Public Garden and other attractions, as well as several restaurants. Leer más

Excellent Hotel with regards to service, friendliness, location, restaurant & food. Only complaint: room with kingsize bed was too small. Bed dominated the room and allowed only 1 nightstand. Made for negotiating the room a bit tight. A coffee maker in the room would have been a nice touch. My wife and I were visiting Boston for the first time in 25 years. Our choice of the Back Bay Hotel was exactly what we wanted. The Hotel has an excellent location for anyone wishing to be close to the best shopping in Boston. Our evening dinners were excellent and all within walking distance. The rooms are a little on the small side so perhaps not […] the best hotel for an extended stay but we were very pleased with the Hotel for our short visit. Hotel lived up to expectations only negatives were despite being at rear of hotel air conditioning unit on ground floor was noisy. Breakfast is too expensive.

Great hotel spoiled by building noise from neighbouring site which starts early (7ish) and includes weekends

lovely hotel although room a little on the small side., we really enjoyed our stay. Local restaurants on the expensive side - also very busy

Nice Hotel in the right area.

The staff was so friendly and the place was so clean. If I were to complain about anything is was the air conditioning in the room, it got very cold and was blowing on my head. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature, to complicated. Other than that...I loved it and would stay again.

The staff was helpful, the bartender at Cuffs was great although the security guy was a little scary. Loved the location and the room. Funny decor in the elevator and a coffee maker in the room would have made it perfect.

My recent stay at the Back Bay Hotel was enjoyable for the most part. The only real disappointment was the 7 am jackhammers across the street. There was no sleeping in, that's for sure. While it is a somewhat temporary situation (due to building reno), it is bothersome and would help if the noise didn't start quite sooo early. On the positive side, […] I ordered in room service for breakfast both mornings and it was deilicious! Very impressive especially, for a hotel breakfast. And the coffee was good too! My family of four stayed at the Back Bay Hotel for three nights. We felt very welcome at the hotel. The staff at the restaurant where we ate breakfast each day were congenial and helpful. In addition the hotel made arrangements on short notice for a party of 16 people for lunch one day. I have no complaints!

This is just a lovely hotel in the middle of everything. The staff are warm and knowledgeable. The rooms are terrific as are the public spaces and the restaurants.

Staff helpful without being intrusive. Sometimes noisy in daytime from renovations in the neighbourhood.

Close to Newbury Street, and nice and clean. I would go here again.

I went to Boston for a conference at the Hynes Convention Center. The Back Bay Hotel is close to everything. The Convention Center was within walking distance. A shopping center, a grocery store, and several places to eat were very near-by. Also, the subway system was a very short distance fromthe hotel. Highly recommended!

Excellent hotel, within easy walking distance of Boston Common and Freedom Trail as well as other city amenities. Warm welcome from very friendly staff and restaurant meals and breakfast were of a high standard.

The people at this hotel were fantastic, from the front door greeting, to check-in, to extra care delivered to the door, to helping at check-out! When my flight was cancelled last minute, the concierge had me rebooked on a new flight before I could call home and arrange childcare... The room was lovely, bed comfortable, and what better location is there […] to Boston overall? I ran a few blocks to the river, had dinner in the South End, and attended business meetings in Copley. A beautiful hotel in a great location. Loads of great entertainment and places to eat within walking distance. The service was impeccable - they spoilt us.

Stayed here for an extended weekend and was very happy with the hotel. Two things that made things a little less enjoyable was that there was not a coffee maker in the room. Dunkin and Starbucks are right down the street. And no mini-bar. Other than that great hotel!

Excellent hotel with nice rooms, central location, and extremely efficient and polite staff. We had to move to a different room through no fault of the hotel itself and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Will stay here again on next trip to Boston.

The location of the Back Bay Hotel is fantastic. When we arrived at 2am on a weekend night the neighborhood was CRAZY with people our leaving the bars. But the hotel was just further down the street to really avoid all the noise and people. The building is beautiful and the rooms had the largest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel room. Recently stayed two nights at The Back Back Hotel. Room was small, but very comfortable and clean. My 6th floor room was also very quiet. Staff was friendly. I'd stay there again assuming price is competitive with other similar hotels.

I really loved this hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Boston. Great location, lovely staff.

My adult daughter and I took a vacation trip to visit another daughter attending a summer session at BU. We decided to splurge and stay at a nicer hotel and we were not dissappointed. Everything about the hotel was lovely. Beautiful accomodations, friendly helpful staff and a great location. We sent the car off with the valet service and used the T […] or walked everywhere. A really good hotel just a short walk from shopping and good eating at Newbury ST, Boyleston ST and the large Prudential mall. Boston Common the same distance on the other side. Excellent room and bathroom and great service as you would expect from a top hotel with Irish connections.

We loved the location but were dissappointed on a few things. There was a parade the day we arrived and the streets were blocked. We were told by valet to drive around until parade ended (90 minutes later). We parked at a garage and walked....no compensation provided by hotel even though we mentioned we had to walk with luggage from a garage. The room […] was very clean with an enormous bathroom. The linens were high end but the mattress visibly sagged when you sat on the edge. Both of us woke up with terribly sore backs. My friend lost her wallet in the elevator which was turned into the front desk. We asked at the desk if a wallet was turned in and were told no. Then a person in the lobby noticed us looking around the floors and in our luggage and asked if we were looking for a wallet. He said he had turned it into the desk. We returned to the desk and were told again that nothing was turned in. We pointed out the person who said they had turned it in and then guess what.....the front desk found our wallet. We loved our 4 night stay at this hotel! We arrived much earlier off the cruise ship than anticipated, and after giving us a choice of rooms, we chose the very private and spacious room, 1 of only 3, on the 10th floor, the top. In our choices they told us about the room with a view which on tues again would have noisy construction, so we could pick. […] Our room was so roomy, with such a private entrance it felt more like our own condo! Very quiet up there on 10 too. This hotel was perfectly situated near two "T" stations, and only a short walk to Boston Common, Copley Square, the Boston Public Library, Cheers bar, Freedom Walk start, and theatres. Heather, our concierge was fabulous and helped us plan a trip to Salem one day, and use the subway and commuter trains. She referred us to a great little down-home coffee/sandwhich shop, Billy's, only a short walk from hotel. All staff was cheerful, always greeted us with a smile and opening doors or elevators. The complimentary water bottles each day are a BIG plus considering what some hotels try to charge for them!! Turn down chocolates are the best I have had. cleaning service to the room was immaculate, they even gave us new towels for the ones we tried to hang up and re-use! The hotel is quite perfectly situated in Boston for seeing all attractions and getting around town. We were able to easily print our boarding passes in the business center free of charge. We ate in the Stanhope Grill (sp?) but off the other bar menu. food was prepared excellently, tasted great and service was just right. Room had bathrobes, and slippers, lots of towels, and pillows, and room darkening shades so you could sleep in... and it stayed dark! Small touches like turning on soft music and placing slippers bedside for you for turndown was such a nice touch. Big closet for clothing, and space to put suitcases. Good size shower and bathroom, and a sink with room to store your stuff on it. The only thing it was missing was a pool! but we didn't Leer más

An elegant hotel in a very convenient location. Housed in a former police station though you get a far better level of comfort !! the building is beautiful with a very luxurious feel. I would certainly stay there again.

Very nice hotel in a fabulous neighborhood in Boston but I it is the first hotel I have stayed in at this price range that did not offer free coffee in the lobby or at least provided a small machine in the room. Regardless of room rate, coffee is a cheap perk for the hotel. When asked about it, hotel personnel responded that only 'upper tier' rooms […] have coffee makers. That's ridiculous!! Leer más

Several of my co-workers have stayed at this hotel and recommended it for my trip to visit our Boston office. Really nice hotel, and I love that it's set in the old Boston Police Department headquarters. The room was very comfortable, although a bit small. The staff were fantastic: friendly and helpful. My only gripes were the LOUD A/C fan and that […] housekeeping didn't show up until after 3pm (when I was sick and just wanted to sleep). The staff are so pleasant at the hotel and so helpful. AC a bit on the noisy side though - woke us up a few times in the night.
