Es lo que un buen viajero busca de un hotel en NYC, agua caliente, caliente y limpio el cuarto, un metro cerca, wifi y hasta ahí. Recomendación no vayan a comer a los restaurantes de atras del hotel es muy fea la comida.

Esta a 15 minutos de Manhattan en bus, sale de la puerta del hotel y te regresa al mismo lugar salen casa 10 minutos te deja en 8 y 42 en Manhattan , el desayuno muy bueno , la atención excelente y el personal muy predispuesto a darte información turística , esta en una zona de negocios , supermercados y varios restaurantes, la zona segura para caminar sin problemas

Un hotel de la categoría del Holiday Inn debería tener al menos en la recepción, personal que hablara español. Aquí en México en casi todos los hoteles de más de 4 estrellas, los recepcionistas son bilingues. Gracias.

Muy buena opcion para vacaciones cortas en N York. Accesible a los principales centros de atraccion turisticas de Manhathan. Excelente vista de la ciudad. Personal muy cooperador. Habitacion bastante amplia y confortable.. Emmanuel

"Hotel perfecto para alojarse en Nueva York"
No es el tipico hotel de Nueva York, las habitaciones son muy grandes al igual que el baño. Nos hemos llevado una muy grata sorpresa, es mucho mejor que las fotografias que aparecen en su página web. Sin ruido y muy limpio. Hotel plenamente recomendable, no va a defraudar a nadie.

"Cómodo y tranquilo"
Se trata de un hotel situado en Murray Hill, una zona de negocios, que por el día está llena de gente ajetreada, arriba y abajo, pero por la noche es muy tranquila y segura para descansar. LA habitación del hotel es enorme, y como todo lo americano, la cama también, y además, muy cómoda. En la zona del Hall, hay internet wifi gratis, si traes tu móvil, […] IPAD o portátil; si no tienes ninguno dispositivo por el cual conectarte y lo haces a través del ordenador del hotel, resulta muy caro. Solamente hay 2 ascensores, que además van muy lentos, por lo que hay que momentos del día que para subir o bajar a la habitación, puedes tirarte 5 minutos esperando a que llegue el ascensor. Por lo demás, en general, muy limpio y confortable. Ah! me olvidaba, en la terraza del hotel, por las noches, montan como pequeñas fiestas VIP, a las que tú puedes acceder por ser huésped del hotel, a los que desean ir y no se alojan en el hotel, entran por un acceso diferente y se les cobra una entrada. Está bien, es en plan pijo en Nueva York. Eso sí, una coca-cola, 5 $. Es bueno saber, (porque en el hotel no te lo dicen), que el primer día te piden la tarjeta para cobrarte unos 125€ al cambio, en concepto de fianza. Yo me fui el día 15 de agosto, y hoy es el día que aún no lo han reingresado, espero que todo esté claro antes de finalizar el mes. Leer más
"Buen hotel a buen precio"
Casi todo el mundo comenta lo pequeñas que son las habitaciones en los hoteles de NY pero este no es un problema en el Affinia Shelburne las habitaciones tienen un tamaño estupendo, las camas son enormes y el armario es muy grande. Además tiene un montón de servicios y en el hotel del restaurante se come bien, además de ser un sitio de moda. Pero lo […] mejor es sin duda la azotea, con sus espectaculares vistas, los clientes del hotel pueden acceder a cualquier hora y además te puedes tomar un cocktail. El checkin y el checkout fueron muy rápidos, además en recepción te dan una lista con restaurantes cercanos al hotel lo cual es de agredecer teniendo en cuenta que ellos tienen su propio restaurante. I am overall happy with my stay. Room was very neat and modern. Wireless only available with purchase. I like it due to convenience of location- can walk up to UN HQ and many coffee shops, deli and CVS . A bit pricy.

We had a fantastic suite which was large, clean and had a fantastic view of the Empire State Building! The only slight negative was that the bath was quite small and very low set for tall people or those who may be slightly less mobile. "Great location and good value for money"
Affinia Shelburne almost has it all: great location (~10 min away form Grand Central or Empire State building), nice views (aforementioned ESB from many rooms), affordable prices, very spacious rooms, modern furniture, free wifi in the lobby, relatively helpful staff... I don't know that I would want to stay anywhere else when I go back to NYC. Obviously […] it's not perfect (the outside of the windows are filthy and some of the fixtures in the bathroom didn't look too clean) but these are details. "Too Hot!"
The room temp averaged 77 to 78 degrees, despite fan turned off, windows opened and heat set at 65. Staff were unable to correct this other than to suggest opening windows. That barely worked and let in all the street and traffic noise. Maybe in the Spring or Fall this hotel would be OK. Room size was good, but when I asked for an upgrade, i was told […] I could 'have' one if I paid for it. I don't think that's what an upgrade usually is and I travel extensively. No room in bathroom for toiletries. Counters were not cleaned in bedroom. Rare Restaurant had great food, but music level was deafening. Very nice hotel, excellent Midtown location. Excellent quality for the money. Helpful staff. Nice city views from the roof of the hotel. Nice breakfast in adjoining restaurant for a good value.
"Great Location for a trip to New York City!!"
When we arrived a the hotel the check in process was quick and smooth. I had booked a double room but when we arrived I asked if it would be possible to have a quiet room on a high floor. This was sorted out straight away and without any extra charge. Our room was on the 13th floor with a lovely view of the Chrysler Building. We had two double beds […] and a mini kitchen. Everything was spotless and we had a choice of 6 different pillows! The shower was amazing!! We went in January so it was very cold however, it is worth going up to the roof top terrace on the 16th floor to see the view. Although the area leading out to the terrace is a little tired, the view more than made up for this and I would imagine this would be lovely in the summer when all the seats are out and the bar is open (note to self: - go back in the summer!) The Empire State Building, Times Square, Penn Station were all within 10 minutes walking distance but if you didn't fancy the walk a cab cost approximately $6. Overall our experience at the Affinia Shelburn was a very pleasant one and I would not hesitate to recommend it anyone going on a city break to the Big Apple!!! Leer más

We really enjoyed our stay at the Affinia Shellburne. The room was very clean and very comfortable and the hotel was conviently located with walking distance to several destinations including the Empire State Building, Macy's, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, etc. The only complaint is that the bathroom was a sliding door that did not completely close, […] so it was a little strange. "Bad Pillows"
Hotel is four star, however, the much touted pillows, leave much to be desired! None of them were comfortable! Haven't they ever heard of a truly soft down pillow. I suggest that anyone with neck problems, bring their own, their pillows stink!

I stayed 3 days at the Affinia Shelburne. Very friendly and nice staff, simple but useful lobby and comfortable room. What else do you need for a good stay.

As a frequent traveller to NYC, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. It's centrally located, the staff are first rate and the accomnodations clean and comfortable. I will definetly stay there again and would recoomend it it to anyone. If you want a 5 star hotel at a 3 star price, this is it.

My only real negative comment involves security. There is nothing stopping anyone from accessing the guestroom floors. A key card security system on the elevator would be a good enhancement.
"Nice NYC Hotel"
Affinia Shelburne is a bigger room than most in NYC. Quiet neighborhood but about 5 blocks from Grand Central which is the closest subway station.
"Street Noise is a Problem"
Key issue with this hotel is noise. The rooms overlooking Lexington Avenue are super noisy, especially with traffic noise, trash pickup, etc late at night. Had to move to an interior room in order to get some sleep.

The hotel staff are amazing and the hotel has everything you need, a gym, restaurant, close to grand central and Mavy's and very reasonably priced. Most comfortable place I stayed in whilst in New York.
