hotel vintage. muy lindo y muy muy bien ubicado. Esta reciclado muy bien y con buenos muebles. Hubiese estado ideal si en el reciclaje le hubiesen incluido una aire frio calor

La situación lo compensa todo. Está enfrente de la playa de Santa Mónica, en una zona muy tranquila. Es increible levantarse y ver desde la habitación a la gente haciendo deporte en el paseo y la playa de fondo. Cada habitación tiene junto a la puerta una mesita donde puedes sentarte y relajarte con las vistas. La habitación estaba mejor de lo que esperábamos, […] no es muy grande pero la cama es muy buena. Hay habitaciones que dan al mar, otras laterales que también estan bien, otras al interior y otras al parking, preguntad disponibilidad. No tienen servicio de desayuno, pero sí minibar por lo que podéis comprar algo y disfrutar de las mesitas que tienen las habitaciones situadas frente al mar. Leer más

Clean and comfortable, though not fancy or updated. Reasonably priced, great location and they are dog-friendly. Only hotel I could find in Santa Monica that allowed a dog the size of our labrador retriever.

Excellent location,extremely friendly and helpful staff the only thing bad is tha they do not have a restaurant or eating facilities on site. However they are all within walking distance from the hotel. I would definetely stay there on my next visit

It has such a great vibe - clean and nice, many rooms have kitchens. I love the patio and the proximity to everything in Santa Monica. A bit noisy but I definitely recommend.

I am very satisfied with my stay here. Everything was perfect: from early check in to cleanliness to friendliness to in room conveniences like snacks and drinks. Loved it and will stay again!

We unfortunately did not get the rooms with kitchen that we had booked/paid for. Apparently a misunderstanding at the front desk ??? we felt a bit crowded in the double rooms (3 adults) Another rooms was offered by the manager the next day , only it had a garden view, we decided not to waste our time with the move. This hotel was very sweet. The bed was excellent, room clean, and free parking in a beach lot just in front of the hotel. The only thing that could have been better is that the bathroom fan made a loud vibration, and bathroom could have been updated. There was not place to put soap in the shower. I stayed at the Bayside Hotel on two different occasions over the Christmas holiday period. They offer 24hr reception which was very convenient as we arrived late at night and had to check out very early also. Great location: its a short walk to Santa Monica Pier and shops and restaurants. Worst hotel stay I have ever had. No parking avalible at all at or close to the hotel. room was stuff heater would not turn off. Lights worked but no outlets from 8 am and when I checked out they came on at 11 am. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL WARNING!!!!!

Clean and comfortable for the budget traveller... perfect location for cycling, walking , shopping and sightseeing. Will definitely recommend and stay again!

We love this hotel. Walk to 3rd street promendade and the pier easily. A nice hike to venice. Beautiful ocean view in a safe neighborhood

The sunset view from this hotel is breathtaking. The actual room itself was comfortable enough, but not stellar. Unfortunately in my room, the mirror in the bathroom was not located directly over the sink, so shaving was a challenge. Also the water in the shower and the sink did NOT get hot enough for me for my showering and face washing. It was lukewarm […] water, which is very irritating. I mentioned this misfortune to the front desk upon check out. The actual bed was very comfortable however the furnishings in the room were cheap and the tile work was poorly crafted. Initially I had difficulty getting the television to give me picture and sound at the same time, but after a call to the front desk, and some technical support, that was all sorted out. The hotel has a great location and they even rent bicycle cruisers for taking in the sights at Santa Monica beach if you're there for a vacation. Parking for $12 a day seemed pricey, but at least they have parking available. I like the interior courtyard, which is nicely lit at night and some of the rooms have kitchenettes and balconies. Great location right on beach and walking distance to Promenade, Pier, restaurants. Older building kept clean but could use remodel in bathroom. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, and right across the road from Santa Monica beach.....only a few minutes walk to the pier! Amazing service - Bayside couldn't be friendlier or easier to recommend! Brilliant!

It was an old hotel across the street from the beach. The bathrooms were not updated in the garden view rooms. The only heat was from a free standing oil heater. The beds were comfortable. Parking was tricky. If you are on a budget, this place isn't too bad.

Great Hotel in a great area.

We had a snafu and the guest I'd made a reservation for didn't show up on the scheduled arrival date. The hotel accommodated him for a change in reservation dates on exception even though they didn't have to. Thank you! We will use you for future guest stays.

This hotel was clean and uch nicer then I anticipated after some of the reveiws read on hotels.com Very very close to santa monica pier perfect location, Bedroom was perfect bathroom was a little run down but did its job overall a pleasant stay

Overall a comfortable clean hotel. Although if you have a room downstairs you can hear every single movement and step from upstairs very loudly. This kept me awake most nights as the insulation is really bad. I also had a room near the maid's entrance and could hear every conversation through the wall which was really annoying. Room was clean and nice. The garden area is nice, clean, and was fun with the night lights. The only downside was the noise of the people next to our room but otherwise it was a great stay.

It is located in just front of the Santa Monica Ocean. You can rent a bike at the hotel and looked around Venice and Santa Monica. Good neighborhood, convenience!

Great location.Very near the beach. Quite recently done up with new beds. Make sure you specify a bedroom with a view of the sea. This will be extra. I liked it and it wasn't a rip off.

noisy - you could hear every step of the person upstairs

the hotel was in an excellent location- and looked cute from outside- but our room was located right next to the laundry room, and so starting very early in the morning we were barraged by the constant conversation of hotel staff which rebounded out of the laundry room down the corridor and into ours. it seems they reserve these crappy rooms for hotel.com […] customers- to switch they said we would have to pay $800 a night. totally ridiculous. also- the flip flop? and art work? not really worth the price of the room. Easy walking distance to Santa Monica Pier, Downtown Santa Monica and Venice, 30 min easy drive to sunset strip, 1 h drive to Huntington. We loved the location, but disappointed in the room, it was hot with no aircon, and very very old and dated. Would probably choose somewhere else next time.

The best part of the hotel is the location. It is relatively well-maintained but is a motel, not a hotel. The walls must be super thin because it's VERY loud at night when you're trying to sleep...especially if you have a room downstairs. Bed is VERY comfortable though. Also, it would have been nice to have the option of pay-per-view movies to watch. […] Parking is very limited... we had to park in metered beach parking and get up the next morning by 6:45am to move our car. The price was reasonable compared to surrounding hotels. It was ok for just a one overnight stay, but try to room on the 2nd floor. Leer más

Bayside Hotel was the perfect location for our 2 days in Los Angeles. It is close to the beach, stores, restaurants, and activities. The hotel is very cute and cozy and the rooms looked comfortable and inviting. The problem we had was there was no aironditioning in our room which was located in a hallway. Although it was cool outside, the temperature […] of the room was warm and we had to leave the door open to get cool air in the room. The window did not provide enough airflow. There was a ceiling fan and a box fan available but because the room was warm already, it just circulated warm air. We were out most of the day so we were not bothered too much except for the fact that we had to leave the door open in the evening. I was told that because of the age of the building, the electrical system did not support airconditioning units. I would suggest to install screen doors to the hallway units to add privacy. Overall, we enjoyed the 2 days we were there. There are probably other units that had more than one window with better airflow and privacy. We will request for that next time. Leer más

The location is perfect, but I would label this a Motel, not a Hotel. The people that worked there could not have been nicer. The fact that there is no air conditioning proved to be the factor that would keep me from returning. The window had to be left open to get any air, yet people were walking by at all hours impeding air and privacy. The noise […] of the fans we had on for comfort were too noisy to allow restful sleep. This was a nice comfortable hotel for the price and we were so glad we stayed in Santa Monica Beach and not in the centre of LA. We could walk everywhere, muscle beach, the pier and the shops. When we wanted to see the whole of LA we just jumped on the open top double decker bus at the pier and off we went for the day. This was a great place to start […] our American holiday. Leer más

Really liked this hotel. The double room had a double bed that was small for america, but normal for europe. The room itself was also quite small, but really pretty and very 'beachy' which reflected its location. I give this place top score! Very clean, nice interior, close to the beach, and I didnt want to get out of that bed in the mornings :)Beautiful little garden in the middle of the building! If I go back to Santa Monica, this is where I'm staying. For sure!

My first hotel on my arrival in the USA from Australia, arrived before 7am, and was luckily able to check into a room. Comfortable and clean. Across the road from a park and then the boardwalk and beach. Easy walking distance to Santa Monica Pier and 3rd St Promenade.
