nice room for price, great central location. terrible breakfast though ie a veggie option is NOT a full english minus the meat, you didnt even add anything extra to make up the difference but cost was the sam - i hate that (oh and there is only a certain number of times you can recook things - reckon my mushrooms were refried half a dozen times\0
The hotel is right across the street from the bus station and there's also trams going by, so it's a little noisy all the time. This didn't affect my sleeping, but if you're a light sleeper you probably shouldn't stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Most sights are within a reasonable walking distance […] (not for kids however), but there are a few things you'd need to take a bus to see. Leer más
"Would not recommend this hotel"
The only slightly good thing about this hotel is the location. The hotel is rundown and shabby and way over priced for what you get. The room we stayed is was only okay, it overlooked bus aras so there were noises of buses going in and out all the time, the bed was very uncomfortable we had paid extra to book a double room but in fact it was 2 single […] beds pushed together so a big divide down the middle which meant you couldn't sleep comfotably also the shower was broken when we arrived but this was fixed the next day. Overall I will not be staying here again and I would not recommend it to anyone. Leer más

"isaacs hotel close to most attractions"
had to move room three times due to problems with the water because of a flooded water pump but was given a free meal in the restaraunt with drinks which was a good gesture
"very nice comfortable hotel"

"Hotel Issacs - central and convenient"
This hotel is very central and convenient within Dublin, the room was clean and reasonably modern. The restaurant is excellent and the adjoining bar is pleasant. The room however was completely uninsulated, the windows were paper thin and all external noise was clearly audible. After two nights of interrupted sleep i slept like a log, but only because […] i was exhausted. In the hotel's defense we were very English about it and never complained, so we didn't allow them the chance to relocate us. However a relacation probably wouldn't have meant a warmer room. Sadly the paper thin windows also mean that the blanket that usually stays in the wardrobe was required for warmth. Good Luck! Leer más
"Great location, great service!"
Excellent place if you plan to stay in Dublin for a few days - very good location (walking distance from all the interesting sights, very close to the bus and train stations, the airport bus is right across the hotel), great service. All in all, excellent value for money!
"isaac hotel dublin-"
10 Minute walk from main bar and restarant area. Our room was fantastic. we we're in the Georgian quarter's of the hotel which was quite grand! lovely big bed, large room with 3 piece suite and tv. Very clean.
"In the middle of Temple Bar area"
I had a nice time at this hotel, and the staff were mostly nice. There was however one man in the reception that seemed a bit stuck up.. The cleanliness was great, but the breakfast was awful (only had the continental). There is a bit of noise at night, but the hotel is in the middle of the Temble Bar area so I didn't expect anything else.. All in […] all a good stay! Leer más

"Been Warned"
Wayyyyy to much noise, it feels like the Dart is leaving from outside ur room door, was aware before booking that it was going to be noisy and when asked at reception for a quite room the reply was ''there are no quite rooms'' haha Otherwise an ok hotel, and quite well run, needs a new lift, and carpets up the stairs could do with being replaced, would […] be nice if the floors were numbered too and a few green plants on each level would not go a miss Great location for walking to town, food was very nice in the restaurant Will not be going back tho, I like my sleep to much Leer más
"Isaacs Hotel, Dublin."
This hotel is very close to the centre of the city and easily within walking distance of all the attractions. Although close to the bus station and with trams running outside, we did not hear any noise when inside the hotel. The staff were all friendly, polite and efficient, the food was wonderful and the location excellent. I will stay here if I visit […] this wonderful city again. Leer más
The hotel is an old one and close to the downtown. The room was clean however there were no chairs in the room, the bath was falling apart but working. There was only one reading lamp by the beds. The hotel is across the road from the bus station so its handy. To get wifi you had to pay 6eruo a day extra. The food in the resturant was good but the staff […] seemed to think we were an interuption to their work especially the head hostess. Some of the front desk people were helpful others were not. "Great Hotel - great location"
Hotel was across the street from Bus Aras - right in the city center - close to shopping, O'Connell St etc. Rooms were clean, bathroom was large - I would definitely stay there again.
"good location"
as our group travelled by bus the Isaacs Hotel is as near a bus station as you will get. I have used this hotel a number of times, so i always remember to bring ear plugs because if your room is facing the main road, the bus and tram noise can be a bit too much. The plus side is the lovely staff, and cleanliness. Will use it again.
"very convenient"
Very convenient location, immediately across the street from the central bus station. Carpets are a bit worn and some other furnishings showing their age, but very clean and comfortable.
This hotel was in a great location in Dublin- Luas stop right outside the door which is great if you are planning on going to the 02 or arrived to Dublin by train. It only takes a few mins to walk to o'connell street. Definitly recommend a stay here for convenience.
"Just ok"
Though it has got the basic facilities but nothing special to pay extra which we can get for half price in travellodge only plus is bus stand taxi stand and trams were all nearby. Floors creaked a lot and make lot of noice.
"Nice, clean hotel"
The hotel staff was very friendly and service minded. Our room was in the Victorian part of the hotel; quite a bit of a walk from the entrance. When you have a big and heavy suitcase and you have to walk through long and narrow corridors with quite a few stairs along the way.... Not good. We ended up in the basement. The room was ok, and very clean. […] Unfortunately we could hear every tram that passed by the hotel, and people walking in the corridor on the floor above us. Still we will recommend the hotel if you get a room on the upper floors. Leer más
"Issacs Hotel Dublin"
Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. Would definately stay again. Food was great. Restraunt and rooms very clean and tidy. Great location. Close to train station.
"helpful staff"
pity that they didn't provide free wi-fi in the room.. but the staff was kind enough to look up on the internet the nearest location where I can have access to free wi-fi. other than that, the room was nice, but there is a nightclub close-by and you can slightly hear the music noise at night... overall, not so bad.

"good price, great location, ok hotel"
Well start with the good: the price was very good for the location of the hotel. the roughly 10 min walk from almost all important city center sights was great. the bus station is right across the street from the hotel so coming in from the airport and going back using the express bus was amazingly convenient, they even sell half-price bus tickets to […] go back to the airport. The staff was mostly nice and helpful. The room was tiny and not very convenient, it was in the Georgian Wing which meant a very inconvenient walk up and down stairs through the hotel. the safe wasnt working and the shower current was just ridiculous so we asked for a different room. They moved us the second day to a much more spacious and modern room which was very convenient. Wish we had gotten that one first. It was a bit louder than the first room as it was facing the street but it didnt bother us, maybe because we were so tired after walking all day long... if youre very sensitive to noise at night though, beware,,,, We didnt pay the extra 10 euros for breakfast at the hotel, there are so many wonderful places to have breakfast at, and for about the same price, in the city. "Fantastic Stay"
Nothing was too much trouble, asked for a quiet double away from the street and got a lovely room in the georgian wing. Great service Great central location Would stay there again
"Loud, but nice hotel"
The bar next door had music and bass so loud that your room shakes. It is a nice location, but if you plan on turning in early, this is not the place to stay.
"Hotel Isaacs - great location, great service!"
Me and my partner stayed in a standard double and had brekkie included and we are very happy with the hotel. Yes, we did have a train line outside of our window but we were sightseeing and tired after long days so slept good anyway. I can understand how it would be an issue for some people staying there for business though. The hotel staff was great, […] always greeted us with a smie and were happy to keep hold of our bags when we needed to check out but still had time before we needed to leave. Much appreciated! If you're in Dublin for a short break then go on and stay at Isaacs! Its 5min walk to Temple Bar and even closer to O'Connel street! Leer más
The bus station across the road makes it a very noisy place, especially at night time.
"Isaac Hotel Dublin recommended"
this is my 3rd time to stay in this hotel during 2010, and can say the comfort of the beds and cleanliness of the room is always good, our room had a problem with the radiators, they very much to hot and we couldn't control them, but we were moved to a really superior room and had a very comfortable and noise free stay.

"Isaacs Hotel, Dublin"
Stayed in Isaacs hotel for a business trip to Dublin. Main reason for staying here was the convenient location - the hotel is a few mins walk from St Georges Plaza. The room was clean and comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast was efficient and plenty to choose from. The only snag was a machine outside my window which hummed away all night consequently […] spoiling my sleep. I am told the restaurant is good for evening food too but sadly arrived too late to prove this. All in all a decent hotel for those looking at the cheaper end of the business spectrum. Leer más
"Good Location, and all that implies ..."
The Isaacs is near a Garda Station, Bus stop, and around the corner from the water front. For the price and the location, you're getting a decent room at a fair price, but know that you will be getting city noise, too. Having been to NY I thought no big deal, I failed to take into account that we'd be 1 or 2 floors off the street rather than 40.
"Hotel in Dublin"
Internet not Free, lot off noise from the street and the other rooms
"Isaacs Hotel Dublin-in the heart of the city"
I found Hotel Isaacs to be a lovely hotel in the heart of |Dublin. It is within walking distance of all the main attractions, but also conveniently placed close to public transport links. I had several reviews where people said the hotel was noisy at night.I requested a quiet room and certainly wasn't disappointed. For the whole of our 3 night stay we […] didn't hear a single sound(Room 115) The breakfast in the hotle was fairly basic, but adequate. All in all,a gem of a hotel !! Leer más
We really enjoyed our three night stay at this hotel. Room was a bit small, but adequate for the price. Hotel is well maintained and cheerful. Two great restaurants on-site with Kate's Cottage just two blocks away. National bus station is just across the street and city tram stop is just a half a block away. Only a fifteen minute walk to city center […] shopping, tourist sites and pubs. Great location and very nice place to stay. Leer más
"Good location, but VERY loud"
For the price, everything about Isaac's is totally acceptable -- great proximity to the city sights, decent rooms, clean and well-maintained, though a little on the smaller side (which isn't such a big deal if you spend your time sight-seeing). But if you're gonna to stay here, bring earplugs since half of the building overlooks the main bus terminal […] in Dublin and a very busy Luas stop. Stays loud late into the night. Be prepared! "Issacs Hotel Not the best choice!"
The Issacs Hotel was close to the bus, train and tram stations. Infact so close you might as well be sleeping on the street with them. Upon arrival, the clerk, Tamara, was so rude she made me feel as though I was lucky to be staying at her hotel. The room we were given was okay for an old hotel. I di not realize it was on the street and so I called […] to find out what time the noise would stop and was told it goes on late and starts early in the morning. We were moved to another room. It was like going through a maze just to get there. We went up to go down and down to go up and then more stairs all the time lugging our luggage. We were told we had an upgrade but believe me, it was no upgrade. We were in the basement in a room that was outside a smoking patio and next to the gym. At least it was quiet. The shower did not drain and the hot water set off the smoke detector. I must say the worst part was trying to find our way out of the room. I think if the desk person, Tamara, had been plesant, it would not have felt so bad. I should have staed at the Ashling and taken the tram into city center. Do yourself a favor and choose a different hotel. You will be glad you did! Leer más

The hotel is clean, conveniently located and decent value for money.Very good quality breakfast. The only down-side was some noise from a near-by pub / disco on Saturday night - but not the end of the world. Would consider using this hotel again (depending on price / deal).
"Isaac Hotel Dublin recommended"
This is my 3rd stay in the Iaac Hotel in Dublin in 8 months. Must say i cannot say anything negative about my experience. I will say i have learned to pack a pair of ear plugs, just in case i get a room looking onto the street where the trams and buses run, this can be a little noisy. Staff at the reception are very competent and polite. Will stay here […] everytime. Leer más
"Which seniors does it cater to?"
This hotel specified that it catered to seniors, perhaps because they are hard of hearing often. The trains, trams and tourists made a racket outside our window all night. My friend and I had our mothers ( 66 and 75 yrs) with us and there is no way they would have been able to get their luggage to the rooms. While the lobby is lovely and there is an […] elevator, once on your floor you must push through 2 sets of double doors ( lugging suitcases) then haul the suitcases up a curved, steep double set of short steps. At least that is what we had to do although I suspect that we had the worst rooms in the place as the train passengers could have counted my teeth they were so close to our window. The complimentary airport shuttle service was discontinued some time ago although when we booked that is what was advertised. Happily the manager did step up and give us tickets without charge, but only, I suspect because we asked about it repeatedly. The rooms are small and claustrophobic with the windows shut but deafening and putrid with deisel and smoke fumes with the windows open. Perhaps the rooms on the other side of the hotel were better. Our floor felt like flimsy plywood about to give out any minute. Also, we specified non smoking and it does say that on the doors, but the cleaner assured us we could smoke in our rooms??? Leer más
