We enjoyed this award winning hotel very much. It had all of the convienences that you needed -- hair dryer, iron and ironing board, etc. The breakfast buffet had good hours and had everything you could want. We were about 3 blocks from the train station and bus stops.

A wonderful value. Good location, very comfortable, all necessary amenities, and great buffet full breakfasts. Free bicycles when available--the perfect way to get around in Helsinki. I will stay there again when in town!

"Great modern hotel in great location"

We stayed here for a weekend break in April and the hotel was great. It was very modern and comfortable. The only problem with our room was that we requested a double bed and instead had two singles. When we asked about it we were told all the double rooms were taken. However we pushed the beds together and it wasn't really that big a problem. Free WiFi and Internet was great, and the breakfast selection was also very good - and of course the saunas were fabulous!

"Great central hotel"

This is a great centally located, modern hotel in the heart of Helsinki, within easy reach (two minutes walk) of the main bus and train stations. Also there are plenty of shops and restaurants all around including a food store that you can get to through the basement walkway of the hotel so you don't even need to go outside. Also there is free wi-fi which is something London hotels might want to adopt for their guests...

You can walk to most places you want to go in 15 min. The breakfast is wonderfully varied.

"Very convenient location"

We enjoyed this hotel very much. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and bilingual. We needed to take a bus to Turku, Finland and this hotel was right across the street from Kampii, the city center shopping mall, where the bus station was located. Couldn't have worked better for us!

Good location, nice and clean, comfortable hotel, breakfast better than in many hotels (def better than even five star hotels in other countries, but even in finnish standard it was good), bit pricey during the week but weekend rate was ok.

An outstanding hotel both in quality of physical layout and its room amenities, and its staff. One suggestion: provide better soap dispensers; current dispensers too difficult to squize to obtain an adequate amount of soap, and arthritic hands/fingers experience too much pain to obtain soap.

Simonkentta is walking distance to major shopping, museums, design centers, and restaurants in Europe's most livable city, Helsinki/Helsingfors. Everyone we met spoke at least three languages!

Emplacement de l'hôtel : très central, à deux pas de la gare, des rues commerçantes et de l'Esplanade. De plus, le tram passe juste à côté. Accueil et ambiance : très grand hôtel, à l'accueil du coup plutôt impersonnel, mais efficace. On passe sans problème inaperçu... Chambre : assez spacieuse, confortable et très propre. Pas de fioritures ni de luxe excessif, mais c'est parfait pour un voyage d'affaires. Salle de bains très propre. Petit déjeuner : colossal. Certes il est habituel de trouver des petits-déjeuners copieux et variés dans les pays nordiques, mais celui-ci est particulièrement remarquable. Dans l'ensemble, un très bon hôtel, bon rapport qualité / prix, idéal pour ceux qui cherchent du confort sans chichis dans une ambiance plutôt anonyme.

Een zeer prettig hotel: schoon, zeer goed en uitgebreid ontbijt, comfortabel en gratis wireless internet. Het ligt zeer centraal, 5 minuten lopen naar het station, restaurants en winkels om het hotel heen.

perfekte Location für den Citytraveller. Guter Service und sehr hilfsbereite Desk Mitarbeiter. Negativ sind die kurzen Öffnungszeiten der Saunen.

Hotellet höll bra standard generellt. Bemötandet i receptionen var inte alltför serviceinriktat, särskilt inte från en manlig receptionist. Hörde av personer bosatta i Helsingfors att man i Finland i allmänhet inte "fjäskar" för mycket utan går rakt på sak. Kanske var det en kulturskillnad och inte så mycket att hänga upp sig på. Städningen var bra förutom att det fanns några små fläckar på toalettsitsen som jag tog bort (inte trevligt). Det kändes lite osäkert att lämna in bagage i bagagerummet före och efter vistelsen eftersom man fick känslan att obehöriga lätt kunde ta sig in när dörrarna öppnades. I övrigt var allt utmärkt.

Jeg og min samboer er begge veldig fornøyde med dette hotellet. Hyggelige resepsjonister, hyggelig i baren, god frokost samt middag i resturanten. Har kun opplevd upåklagelig service. Standaren er god, det er rent og pent over alt. Vi har bodd på hotellet flere ganger, og skal vi tilbake til Helsinki vil dette være hotellet vi velger.

Dette var mitt 4de besøk på Scandic Simonkenntta hotel. Har ikke overnattet på andre hoteller i Helsinki etter første besøk her. Hotellet ligger midt i sentrum og prisene er lave. Kommer gjerne tilbake

Sehr freundliches Personal; riesiges Frühstücksbuffet; absolut zentrale Lage - nur 4 Min. vom Bahnhof entfernt; alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar; einzig die Sauna-Betriebszeiten sind nicht ausreichend

Das Hotel bietet einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und befindet sich in einem guten Zustand. Es ist zentral gelegen. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Restaurant ist gut, und das Frühstück ist reichlich und sehr vielfältig.
