We travel a lot!! This hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The location was great. The rooms and bathroom were a good size and clean. The staff spoke great English and the food was great. We would come back to this hotel.

The toilet closet was in the foyer entrance to the room, while the main bathroom (without a toilet) was at the other end. It was a long walk if you had to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Other than soap and toilet paper, nothing else was provided in the bathroom and the shower stall was somewhat small. Other than that, the room was nice and the hotel very "quaint" and well located.

Great hotel centrally located in the old part of Salzburg. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Excellent water pressure, but the bathroom set up was a bit awkward -- a common problem it seems in European hotels. Would have preferred the corners of the shower to be a little cleaner.

Although I expect the rooms to be slightly smaller in European hotels, this room was claustrophobic. Two people literally could not get by one another. The room was unreasonably hot (although the air conditioner worked). The bathroom was so tiny, I was afraid to turn around in the shower. I feared my husband would end up going through the glass when he was washing himself. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. However, for the price I would not recommend this hotel.

This is the place to stay if visiting Salzburg. It's location is right in the heart of the old town. Mozart's birth home is right around the corner from it. It is a lovely hotel. The room is not huge but a decent size. Bathroom is very clean and big for a european bathroom. Location is the number one reason to stay here. Budget friendly and free breakfast.

We booked a king size but ended up in a twin with no alternate. This kind of thing is disappointing and lets down an otherwise good hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful.......

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable though a bit tight for 3. The location is excellent as was the attached restaurant for a nice dinner. Would highly recommend.

Excellent hotel in the centre of the Old Town. Although it is in the pedestrian precinct you can drive to the door to unload. The hotel have a deal with an underground car park 1o mins walk away (11 Euro a day). Room very comfortable and all the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

Conveniently situated in the Old Town close to shops,restaurants and other amenities. Staff were cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a great location in the heart of the Old Town, this is a good choice. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and cheery, crisp linens on beds, though the carpeting and furnishings a bit tired. Like many European hotels, the rooms were also very small. Not much room to navigate with two people and full suitcases. Still, it was just so handy to everything that this was a minor drawback. The complimentary breakfast, served in a charming dining room on the second floor, was delicious. There is a fabulous Italian restaurant right next door (in the basement of the Elefant building)which was very convenient for a jet-lagged first dinner in town. There was some street noise late at night from bar revelers -- a problem solved by closing the double windows. Also noise issues are not unique to this property and would be the same at most any old town hotel location. I would definitely stay at the elefant again. Affordable and very convenient. High marks also to the helpful staff.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was so very helpful and helped us everyday. We loved this hotel.

Petit hotel en plein coeur de la ville historique, à deux pas de la maison natale de Mozart. Personnel serviable, chambre relativement petite mais très bien aménagée, propre et équipée d'une climatisation. Léger vis à vis pour les chambres donnant sur rue mais n'occasionnant aucune gène particulière. Ruelle calme. Petit déjeuner correct.

Das Hotel ist bestens gelegen in der Altstadt, alles in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet, das Bad modern und alles sauber. Zur Straßenseite hin ist es nur leider sehr laut und man kann die Fenster nachts nicht schließen, da es dann zu warm und stickig wird. Es gibt zwar eine Klimaanlage, aber die ist auch laut und kann natürlich nicht die ganze Nacht laufen. Das Frühstücksbuffet läßt zu wünschen übrig. Es gibt jeden Tag die gleiche Wurst und den gleichen Käse. Was alle ist, wird nicht nachgereicht. Der Service an der Rezeption jedoch ist sehr gut.

Ideal gelegen. Hatte ein kleines Einzelzimmer, was aber alles hatte, was man braucht (außer einer Ablagefläche im Schrank, der nur einen Teil zum aufhängen hatte). Wichtig für mich war die komplette Ruhe nach hinten (zwar ohne Blick und mit wenig Licht, aber die Ruhe ist mir wichtiger). Das Personal war äußerst freundlich. Der Frühtücksraum ist sehr angenehm, das Frühstück selbst nichts Besonderes (Obstsalat aus der Dose - dafür separates frisches Obst - kein frisches Gemüse).

Das Hotel hat für einen Salzburgaufenthalt eine hervorragende Lage. Das Haus hat eine angenehme Atmosphäre, Zimmer, Frühstücksraum, etc., das Personal war stes freundlich, zuvorkommen, behilflich. Das Preis-/Lesitungsverhöltnis ist gut
