The hotel was under renovation on the main level, that being said the rest of the floors by the elevators werent that clean. The room was way too hot and we had to open the windows to sleep. The mattress was way too low to the floor and needs to be replaced.The staff could have been a little more friendlier to accomodate the mess in the lobby. The ice […] machine was broke on the 4th floor, the phone in our room didnt work, and the vending machines on 2 floors didnt work. Me and my husband stay here overnight. We stayed in a newly renovated room. It was very nice and comfortable. It was an enjoyable experience and its near the mall and restaurants.

Yes, it is the same chain, but a more up-scale Red Roof. It's an interior hotel. Has security. Renovated rooms. Close to a huge mall and a Hockey Arena and a Famous Dave's and the beach is only a few miles (15 or so) directly south of the hotel. A very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable at a very reasonable price. We'll be back again!

This hotel provides a quaint setting for an overnight stay. It is currently under rennovations, and upgrades. Carpets were removed and replaced with hard wood flooring. The sink was a bit odd, and the microwave and fridge were old, which took away from the upgrade. Aside from that, I was pleased.

The new hotel rooms are spacious and modern...they will be my new home away from home.

This hotel was great....I could not have asked for better...from the outside I was a little leary of how nice the room would be....However once i saw the room I was amazed...I guess that's why they say never judge a book by its cover..great location very convenient...I will DEFINITELY be back.

Room was big, beautiful and clean. Loved the desk for my laptop. The bed was so comfortable, fridge came in handy for leftovers and the shower preasure was awesome. Will stay there again.

Hotel registration could not find reservation. we had great difficulty clearing matter. They told us we would have to contact Hotels.com. Eventually another clerk simply looked again in file and found it. The bedspreads looked soiled. Shortage of tissues.Carpeting was disgusting. Could hear next room guests.....mother screaming at child. Child crying. The desk clerk was very helpful in trying to help us maneuver out of the area. No street maps.,etc., no restaurants for area listed. hotel was excellent value; stayed overnight, it was quiet and more comfortable than other hotels I've been in. only thing that could be changed is at coffee bar in lobby there is powered creamer instead of liquid creamers -- ugh! but all in all we enjoyed the overnight stay and would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean and safe and all workers were friendly but the beds are terrible if not for those hard small beds the hotel would be a 5 I give it a 3. great mall very near to hotel.

There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. And the coffee in the lobby was always luke warm. Other than than it was o.k for a two star hotel.

We did online reservation , so when reached there, there was no reservation! It took about 40 minutes. Room was clean but pillows was from 1950s.

This hotel is probably #1 on my Worst Hotel Ever list. There were drug deals going on across the street from the hotel. My daughter, who stayed in a different room from me, heard knocking and doors opening and shutting across the hall from her all night. The small and messy lobby was filled with people hanging around the coffee pot, in pajamas and shower […] caps at different times during the day and night (no kidding). The desk staff was not friendly at any time during our several interactions with them. In fact, one front desk receptionist was texting on her phone while checking us out. At 7AM on Sunday morning, the fire alarm went off for about 10 mins. When we got out of bed and out of our rooms, we were told nonchalantly, that someone had just put something bad in the microwave in the lobby, causing the fire alarm to go off. We stayed at this hotel because it was located near the reception hall we were attending, also our family lives in the area. Room was clean and quiet. We would recommend this hotel and stay again in the future...

Close to Roosevelt Field Mall. Quite convenient and near highway. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Nearby shopping and highway. Near movie theaters. Not many ammenities though.

I needed a place to stay while visiting my parents in their tiny apartment. Red Roof Inn fit the bill. The room was large enough, had all the necessities for "hanging out" when not with the family, and, since I had a car and knew the area, was accessible to the local shopping/diversions, including Target and Walmart for simple food for the refrigerator […] and microwave (no freezer, though). I did notice that for one person, they turned down one bed and provided only one cup for the hot beverage machine and one at the sink! The second night a teeny bottle of shampoo and a packet of tissues appeared. The only major complaint is that one night the bathroom smelled of stale smoke and part of the second night the room smelled the same; the front desk immediately entered my comment into the computer. There was also a sign at the desk announcing their NO PARTYING policy, so, they appear to listen to these reviews. I would recommend this hotel for those needing a place to rest and sleep and who have a car. Without a restaurant or other amenities outside the room, it's not a place to spend much time at. I had booked this at the last minute because of a snow blizzard and it was very affordable. The room was clean and warm and the hotel was pretty quiet. In the morning they had a snow blower in the lot helping us get our cars out of the snow. I will stay here again if I need to be close to my job at the mall!

Found out after the fact that this hotel is a frequent spot for young adults to host drinking parties. They reserve rooms on the same floor and take over. There are many other hotels in the area so I would hope they will address this problem.

Cramped room, very bad odor when I came in and bedsheets were not cleaned. Pipes burst during stay and power went put simultaneously. Showers and faucets gave brown water for 2 days. A miserable stay without much surrounding the hotel. Cannot and would never recommend to anyone.

The Red Roof Hotel is the best deal in town. However, you do get what you paid for.

Easy access well lit, adequate parking. Equals any other economy accommodations. On line photos = actual rooms. 3 of 4 rooms had iron/w board, coffee, Microwave. All had Ref., TV/remote, room safe. Friendly staff. We did not see any restaurants within easy walking, had delivery from Domino's - Only order in Pizza ever on time and hot, however, a little […] pricey. Quiet on all floors. The hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. The room was clean when we arrived and was cleaned daily with the beds being made and clean towels left.. The hotel was quiet and the room was supplied with a mini fridge, microwave, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, safe and soap and shampoo. We were very satisfied. Compared to other LI hotels, this was a great deal. Needed only over night stay close to the city. Love Garden City as it has everything close by; resturants, movies and a great mall. It was clean and quiet

room contained everything you need (bed, bathroom, sink, tv, wifi, desk, coffee maker), affordable price. the bathroom door must've been kicked in at one point; the spackle job was horrendous. the king size bed was lumpy, had to lay on the far left side for any firmness. tho for a smoking floor, it did not smell like it. it was the night of the blizzard […] and i had a wedding to attend: the walkway was not shoveled and had to trudge through the snow to get to car picking me up. the next day they allowed me a late check out of 2pm, but they had no one to shovel my car out. front desk told me to call for roadside assistance, but i seriously doubted snow removal was part of that plan and called a friend who came and digged me out. all in all, you get what you paid for... decent price, basic accomodations. For those with pets, this is a great location. The accommodations are bare minimum at best. Very few amenities and lacking in basic amenities (no towels in bathroom, no kleenex/tissues, dirty coffee-maker, no extra pillows, no blankets). Its walking distance to many locations and its organized. But it needs some tlc. Would love for warm breakfast to be offered. Also, housekeepers do not change sheets every day. Price is the one excellent thing in this hotel.
