Very good location! Excellent breakfast!

I chose this boutique hotel from the internet seeking value for money and location. Most of the reviews written by past visitors were very helpful. I knew this building when it was still a cinema in the late '60s and remember climbing the staircase to get to our seats! The hotel beautifully depicts its past history though the rooms are rather small. […] The breakfast was delicious and the business lounge free afternoon buffet an added bonus. My only complaint was the argument I had with the reception desk insisting I pay a tax surcharge. When one pays in shekels over the internet as I had done, this is automatically included. I've stayed at the Cinema many times over the past four years, and each time has been a delight. The breakfast buffet is superb and the salads, cheeses, cakes and breads change daily. The afternoon tea buffet is lovely, with different cakes, fruits and drinks each time. There is always an interesting mix of Israelis along with European, North American, […] African and Asian visitors. The location is unbeatable for people who want to explore as tourists or get to work commitments in Tel Aviv or elsewhere in Israel. Excellent proximity to the beach, including by free bicycle provided by the hotel. Close to major streets, bus lines, train stations and taxis (always waiting outside). Parking is tight but possible most of the time. Staff are veterans who are consistently helpful and knowledgeable. Simply stated, a wonderful boutique destination. Leer más

My wife and I went with our toddler since there were good reviews and it was reasonably affordable for Tel Aviv. We enjoyed our stay and the hotel has a nice mix of old and new. The bed was comfortable and the service was very good, although there was some outside noise from the square at night but nothing too troubling. The windows are not double […] glazed which is a problem. We particularly enjoyed the great range of Kosher food at breakfast, the free popcorn and the 'happy hour' early evening! Free wifi was also a bonus. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us especially for our child. Parking is free but tight! once we had to ask the hotel to move 2 cars in order that we could move our car which was a little inconvenient. The rooms were clean, although a little small with a cot in the same room. Overall, a very nice experience, great service, good food and affordable compared to the grand 4 or5* hotels in Tel Aviv. We loved this hotel. It is small and friendly, very modern and chic, converted from a former 1930's cinema. The location is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable though ours was a little small. The breakfast is superb but very hot and crowded in the breakfast room (we were there on New Year's eve and they were very busy). The Bauhaus architecture, inside and out, is extremely well preserved in this cute hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but it doesn't matter - the rooftop lounge, convenience of its center location and other things make this a great stay central to a lot of the Tel Aviv day and night scene. We loved the location- right in the city near everything. Also breakfast and refreshments were generous and good quality.

Fun hotel to stay at. Loved the silent movies and free popcorn in the lobby. The old movie posters and movie paraphernalia in the lobbies helped to create a charming atmosphere. The afternoon snacks and drinks served next to the sundeck on the 4th floor was truly a pleasure to come back to after a long day. The views from the sundeck were great as well. […] Great location in the center of the city for both sight seeing and shopping. Good transportation either public or private readily available. The morning breakfast which was included was also excellent. Service in the dining room was excellent and if you asked the staff would usually try and accomodate any special requests. Only complaint one of the evening staff at the front desk could have been a little friendlier. Everyone however was very helpful with all requests even if they lacked a smile. Leer más

I'm a 63 yr old female traveler from the USA. I searched out a good location for a hotel in Tel Aviv on the web and found this. It is a wonderful concept and a mini museum. It is near the train station for taxis to and from the hotel. The hotel staff are very nice, courteous and spoke to me in English. The continental breakfast has a wide range of foods […] with good serving hours. There is a very good falefal store around the corner, friendly and good falafels. Charming hotel in good location. 10 minute walk to the beach. Breakfast was good and plentiful in pleasant dining area. Rooms are clean but sparse. Staff was excellent.

With a great location, super breakfast, and free parking, we couldn't ask for anything more (except perhaps to have wine at happy hour the second evening of our stay, when none was available). We would return without hesitation.

Nice hotel located beside a busy shopping street in Tel Aviv. Avoid the first floor, street side, as there was street noise and a disco that created noise that went late into the night. We stayed twice at this hotel on our trip and on the first stay we were on the second floor, away from the street and it was very quiet. Front desk was very helpful […] and the hotel provides parking. Very nice breakfast although not as extensive as many Israeli breakfasts. If requested cappucinos were available. 10 minutes walk from the Mediterranean. All in all, worth consideration. Leer más

This hotel is in a convenient part of town to walk to the beach (a c ouple of blocks) and to the shuk as well as Old Jaffa. It was cute, the room was small but perfectly clean. they had a rooftop patio with complimentary tea. lemonade and fruits/nuts at night. We left early so have no idea about the breakfast. Great hotel close to everything, comfortable rooms and loved the 4th floor lounge with hot tub and afternnoon drinks!

EASY TO find; nice staff; good location to beach and shopping; room had very comfortable beds...triple a bit congested, but adequate; next to the Kabbalah Center; five - seven minutes to the beach; 15 minute walk to market and 10minutes by cab to Yaffa; good air conditioning; Alfonzo the night manager was awsome when we arrived at 5AM; parking available […] on site and secure; free wi fi, altho it was a bit slow; not a 4 star hotel, but it was great for the price. the staff recommended restaurants and made reservations for us. Gave us beach towels to use. the 3rd or 4th floor had a roof area with a sauna and jacuzzi (altho we did not use them)...free afternoon snacks up there and nice lounge chairs to relax....also a free public computer to use there. would go again and really recommend this hotel. Excellent location and great staff service - young, friendly, helpful. Excellent full breakfasts. Room quality varies - we were in a small double overlooking a rotting parking structure. The bathroom door did not clear the bed and there was little storage space. There was a small work table but no chair. The shower had no shelf for soap or shampoo so […] we had to bend to the floor. The shower door was poorly constructed, so water ran all over the bathroom floor. A/C worked well and bed was comfortable. We would gladly stay here again but would insist on a larger and better quality room. Leer más

We stayed for two nights in May and were delighted with the place. Reception staff were not only helpful and well informed but cheerful too which made a real difference. The room was OK and the hotel building itself is beautiful and engagingly decorated with the circuit boards, posters and projectors of its previous incarnation. Classic movies play […] on a screen in reception where packets of popcorn are available to the casual viewer. The hotel is ideally situated for bars, beaches and shopping streets and the crowd that gathers outside and around the fountain on a Friday afternoon give it a real weekend feel. The Cinema Hotel, on Dizengoff, is perfectly located - a few blocks to King George Street with all the retail needs and also swimming on a beautiful white sand beach on the Mediterranean. The staff was very helpful and they have a very nice lounge with cold drinks and snacks, computer access and seating on the rooftop.

This place was great. The rooms are small and it's not overflowing with in-room amenities but there is plenty to love. The top three things we liked most about the Hotel Cinema were 1) The great breakfast they serve each morning. Eggs, cheeses, pastries, fruit, juices, coffee, tea, cereals, meats, salmon... 2) The wonder terrace on the fourth floor […] overlooking a city square and fountain below with a view of the skyline. Each afternoon/evening they put out refreshments, fruits, pastries, nuts, etc. 3) The location. We love the beach and it was a quick 15 minute walk away. It's also close to a lot of groceries, coffee shops, etc. Tel Aviv is not a huge city so even if it's not in the neighborhood where you want to be located, the Cinema Hotel is probably not that far away. We arrived at 6am on Friday morning, and having rung in advance, they let us check-in to our room and have breakfast even though check-in isn't normally until 2pm. They also allowed us to check-out later when we left as our flight wasn't until later afternoon. The rooms were more on the basic side but a decent size and clean. The roof terrace on the […] 4th floor was nice. There was a computer for free internet use on this floor, as well as free wi-fi for the whole hotel. Overall - not as stylish as the hotels 8 minutes walk away on the beach front, but much cheaper and very pleasant. Leer más

The Hotel Cinema is a lovely boutique hotel with creative decor reminiscent of an old movie theater with tripod tables and spotlight reading lamps. The room was a bit small, but the hotel was very pleasant. The 4th floor rooftop deck was delightful and the 5 pm to 10 pm complimentary refreshments were an unexpected treat. We were there during Independence […] Day, so all the stores in the neighborhood were shut down. I suspect that it is a very bustling nice place for shopping when the stores are open, but we didn't experience that. It was an easy walk to the beach and to Rabin Square. Dizengof Square was also quiet when we were there because of the holiday. We ate at the Indian restaurant next door which was okay, but dark and not welcoming. The waiter was nice enough, but the owner was not cordial at all. The hotel, though, was great and we woudl recommend it. Leer más

The location right on Dizengoff is perfect - good shopping/bars/restaurants right on Dizengoff, and a quick walk to the water and to King George and Sheinkin. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Un service accueillant et plaisant dans un tres bel Hotel d'une belle architecture Bauhaus en plein coeur de Tel Aviv. La situation et l'accueill seront là pour vous assurer un séjour des plus agréable et oublier les chambres de petites tailles d'un confort juste correct. Tres belle terrasse lounge pour les fins de journée ;-)

I love the Bauhaus architecture and this is a really thrill to explore. And if you also have a fascination for film and its story, you have to give yourself this threat and stay a night or five. Im going back for sure.

Das Hotel ist ein ehemaliges Kino in schönem Bauhaus-Stil. Nette Einrichtung mit Liebe zum Detail. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.

2 Freunde besuchen Tel Aviv und fühlen sich im Cinema sehr wohl! Architektur im Bauhaus-Stil und schöne Ausstellungsstücke zum Thema Kino gestalten das Hotel zum Erlebnis! Sehr zentrale Lage zum Shoppen, und ausgehen! Tolles Frühstück! Prima auch der Fahrradservice! Unbedingt nutzen, auch wenn die Räder keine Highend-Geräte sind! Das Hotel ist ein sehr geschmackvoll umgebautes Bauhaus-Kino. Es ist modern und sauber. Die Lage ist hervorragend, das Frühstück ausgezeichnet und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel gehört zu den Atlas-Hotels in Israel, mit denen wir durchweg gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben.

L'accueil comme les prestations ainsi que la situation de l'hotel garantissent un bon séjour à Tel-Aviv. En particulier la terrasse en fin d'après -midi est un vrai plus! Cependant le prix des chambres a énormément augmenté depuis 2007 ce qui rend le Cinéma hotel moins compétitif désormais !
