In town on business for 1 night. Handy to public transport hub and restaurants. Hotel room a little musty but otherwise all good

Stayed 5 nights here and it was grand, clean, nice bed nice shower. We didn't get breakfast but had a small kitchet which was good. Perfectly fine

We'd stayed there before, and its efficient friendly Management Staff on arrival make you feel very welcome. The site of this Hotel makes it easy to move around Down town Auckland

Excellent location in heart of CBD, easy walk to waterfront restaurant. Room was a bit dark with a window onto brick wall, decor a bit austere, but staff very helpful, looked after bags will lunchtime, etc. Valet parking worked well but quite expensive.

DONT STAY HERE great location ,now i have the good points outta the way ,got to hotel toilet seat was on the ground ,then i got stuck in a lift for 30 mins . Breakfast was horrible .not too helpful when i told them i got stuck in the lift , managed to get a breakfast outta them which see above was not great i would not reccomend this hotel to my worst […] enemy Also went to use the spa and was under renovations was not told of this at all , this was one of the reasons i stayed here Leer más

This Hotel is not the most modern but it is clean and inexpensive, the rooms were a reasonable size and very comfortable and it was right in the middle of downtown Auckland, so very convenient for what we needed. The staff were also very helpful and friendly - overall very good value for money.

Slightly tired building but clean and fresh room with large bathroom and plenty of light. Typical inner city outlook on adjacent body's.

On the whole we were very happy with our choice. Hotel was very central for walking, trains and buses. Staff very helpful. Room comfortable and adequately cleaned every day.

Nice and clean hotel and helpful stuff, we enjoyed our 5 days stay in Auckland.

Cheap price. Small pokey room w noisy heat pump. Changed room to smaller room. Upgraded myself to karger room. All rooms still smelled of stale smoke. Reception staff v good. Nice to have recent magazines available to read.

very central to everythings but u pay $35 for parking which is still reasonable compared to public parking surcharge + hotel staff very helpfull in taking ur car to their parking and bringing it to the hotel door as u request

this is a nice hotel, the staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and reasonable for the price, if you need an internet connection however get yourself another room, it will cost you 30-40 dollars a night to connect from this one.

While laocation of the hotel was great, at night there was a Karoeke/nightclub next door. And all we could here was the music, 3 nights of very little sleep. We won't be staying again.

It was a decent hotel. Major plus point - fantastic location. It was right smack in the central district, and near to the wharves and buses. Our major complaint was that the room was damp, could see water bubbles travelling down the bathroom walls. Everything else was just average.

Centrally located hotel with great staff, very nice and responsive. Rooms are a good size and very clean although our room smelled like mildew. The downside is that the hotel is located above a bar and it is VERY noisy at night. I was awake all night Friday night because of disco music from the bar which went on until 8 AM.

We arrived early (before midday). We booked straight into our room. Very pleased with the room etc. - not really high class but for us very comfortable & great value for money. The location of the Hotel was very good - busses, trains & shopping etc. We were delayed 3 nights due to airlines not flying(South American ash) The staff were exceptional - […] (Reception & room servicing) The only minor problem we experienced was the room lighting was not great. The hotel was in a prime location, with easy access to anything in the city centre. The staff were lovely and kind, providing exceptional service. Would definitely recommend.

It was amazing. I was here for 3 nights. The breakfast was great check-in and check-out were fast. Location is just great its in center of downtown walking distance to anything u would want to do. Airport bus stop is 30sec walk to the hotel. With out a second thought book this hotel.

Stay was ok. Pretty annoyed at reception accusing us of taking a can of coke in the mini bar but overall great for couples.

I was pleasantly surprised at how large my room and bathroom was when I arrived but despite double glazed windows the noise from Queen Street in the evening meant I was glad I'd brought earplugs with me. I also found the bed very comfortable. I didn't eat at the hotel due to the close proximity to great cafes and restaurants. A shame about the cost […] of in room internet but it was good to have a daily 30 mins/8 mb free wifi in the lobby. I went through it in about 15 mins though... Leer más

We had just stayed at the Mercure in Queenstown so I knew what I was getting us into but I had hoped for better. Just as in Queenstown we got a lower rate room so I was fully expecting a well worn room but what we got was a foul smelling room. I didn't even make it into the door before my husband said 'We aren't staying in this room'. The heavy smoke […] and general odor from the room was very potent but I was horrified to have to go down and exchange rooms, I don't want to be a picky guest and I don't like putting people out but my husband insisted since we had a 'No Smoking' reservation that we should get a room that hadn't been smoked in. The gentleman at the front desk exchanged our room without a word and the second room was better. It was well worn but clean and very large. It was more in-line with what I was expecting. This is a very minor thing, but I did notice and it did detract further from our stay, that the area that our room looked out on was the roof of a lower section of the building and it had lots of trash on it. Tissues, containers, just not what you want to see at any place you stay - no matter the price. And lastly, parking was a bit more than I had expected so be in the know. Leer más

Really pleased with the Mercure Windsor, excellent position and best value accommodation throughout NZ.. Only downside was the street noise but as our visit coincided with a Fri and Sat night perhaps not unexpected. Sunday was alot quieter. I guess Aucklanders like to party late - our room overlooked Queens St but we were high up so quite surprised. […] However would certainly recommend hotel (plus ear plugs). Leer más

I cannot understand the high ratings given to this hotel by previous travelers. My wife and I were VERY disappointed, and giving it a "2" is generous. Strongly advise that you try one of the other 2 Mercures in Auckland. The only virtue of the Windsor -- besides making my cabbie chuckle ruefully -- is its excellent location, just short blocks from places […] that will cheer you up. Leer más

The hotel's position on Queen Street is ideal for access to the waterfront and ferries. It is small but ideal for a short stay in the city. The special offer on the breakfast was particularly welcome, as was the free internet in the lobby. Look for special deals for your stay there.

The Hotel is very close to the harbor, also close to shopping and the train station. Just a short walk from having coffee overlooking the harbor. I enjoyed the mall nearby and the shops close by. The little cafes on the side streets were very nice to sit at. Was fun being in downtown Auckland on a sunny day.

The hotel is well situated in the city centre and represents good value for money. Comfortable if unexceptional rooms

Good rate compared to other hotels in this location. Older hotel that has been remodeled, but very nice.

The reception staff were extraordinarily helpful with everything and are probably amongst the best I've come across. Rooms are excellent.........The only gripe I have about the hotel is the 'fitness room', which is basically just a couple of treadmills and a single weight machine.

Great value for money, although it was nothing special this hotel was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean - what more can you ask for!!

Hotel is ideally located. Room smelt slightly damp and windows don't open. Internet in room did not work but there is internet available at a terminal in the lobby. Room comfortable with a small kitchenette.
